Horrible new management - made an appointment for 3pm for 2 new tires. When I arrived, the shop was pretty much empty (maybe 2/3 cars inside) so I parked in front of an open bay. Apparently this made Chris (new manager) feel the need puff his chest out and shout at me in front of his current staff members to move my car to a parking spot and could care less what I was even there for. The tonality and physical behavior was just totally uncalled for and should be removed from that store immediately. He has zero right to speak to anyone that way. I stopped visiting this location, ( Sandalfoot Plaza Drive), because on one visit they said they had rotated the tires, but, I know for a fact they had not because I marked the tires. With another vehicle they told us that the brake pads were metal on metal, so, I had my son remove the brake pads, guess what, they were not metal on metal. We took pictures and sent them to Tire Kingdom. But today because of proximity to my home, I took my car in for an oil change, and I was greeted by Alex, a professional, soft spoken, knowledgeable, young man. He had helped two customers before me and he was patient and thorough. I also met the relatively new manager. He seemed to care about his work, employees, and customers. I have a 7 year old car wanted tire rotation and balance but after removing 3 tires tell me one of the bolts on the fourth was worn not cross threaded and might break when taking off tire never heard of such a problem in my 75 years. Had job done as they already had other tires off. Also sat in office for 2 1/2 hours and every single customer after me had other issues with their cars. Had an appointment for Monday morning for an oil change and was quoted $128. that was fine. then the Guy at the desk calls me over and says my Battery is low and will die, I need a new Battery now. So my $128 total inclusive bill grew to over $ 540 for the battery added in. Taken advantage of and as a woman, pressured into scare tactics of a dead battery. Then overcharged. Buyer Beware! As a precautionary measure before a road trip of approximately 1500 miles round trip, I took my 2020 MB GLE to Tire Kingdom at Sandal Foot Plaza in West Boca Raton, Fl on ---- to get the tires balanced. There were abnormal vibrations on the steering wheel and front seats going to and returning from our destination. I returned the vehicle to Tire Kingdom for inspection and was advised that the cause was a separation in the left rear tire, which needed to be replaced. I authorized them to do so for $450 and thought the ride would return to normal. However, that was not the case but rather, the steering wheel and the entire car shook violently at speeds over 50MPH. I returned to Tire Kingdom to have the vehicle inspected the following day and was advised that the problem was the drive shaft, not the wheels or tires. Next, I took the vehicle to Mercedes to have the issue assessed and repaired. After a tech took it for a short test drive on the freeway, he also thought the violent shaking was due to the drive shaft but wanted to thoroughly inspect the vehicle so the issue could be precisely diagnosed and repaired. The results were appalling. The drive shaft operated flawlessly while the shaking was due to improper balancing and weighting of the wheels and tires. That caused damage to the right front and rear tires which had to be replaced. The tech experts indicated they had never seen such incompetent work in their long careers. The cost of new tires, alignment, and balancing at Mercedes was $1400, all attributable to the total incompetence of Tire Kingdom. Long time customer at this location. Was previously pleased with this location. Recently had them install 3 tires, 2 Pirelli for front end and a matching Michelin for the rear axle. Have copy of instructions on receipt where tires were to be located. Car handled funny after tire installation. Ten days later I noticed they had installed unmatched tires on the front and rear. Their own website says never to do this. Excess tire wear,handling safety issues in slippery conditions,and possible strain on trans axle. Instead of apologizing they said it was my fault and there was nothing wrong with what they did. After much yelling and cursing they switched the tires to the proper positions..Why didn't they just do that in the first place? Very unprofessional behavior there today. Once again this location can through for me. On Memorial Day weekend - Sunday to be exact I found a screw in my tire. I went directly there although they were very busy I was taken care of immediately. I have done business with them before and no complaints, actually thrilled with the service, the professionalism and politeness of the workers. I was lucky the tire only needed to be plugged and I was out of there in 20 minutes. No charge for service but I made sure to greatly tip the employee who plugged my tire. Went in for two tires at 3:45 was told it would take two hours and that they would call me when ready. I Confirmed they had correct phone number and left. Two hours pass without a call or text. Got a ride at 6:10 shop was closed with my car inside. Needless to say I lost a night and morning of pay. Being a homehealth nurse we need our vehicles. Management was very rude said I should of Ubered to all my patients and offered me 25 dollars! That's what the majority of businesses and companies out there could do, is just speak and NO actions. Eventually, my daughter's car was inoperative, it's still had the same problem, stopping and stalling while waiting for a red light or at a stop sign. These companies refuse to do anything about the situation and actually closed out the case. Seriously?!? Just VERY "fed up" with these companies. My daughter had to "get rid" of her car and purchased a new car, with my financial help. (Mind you .. she just paid off this car back in August, car was way under 60,00 miles - she was VERY upset - 24 years old, young lady & hard work). Thank you, Tire Kingdom for NOTHING!!! . This week I was finally able to make time to take my car get serviced and much needed new tires. Curt at Tire Kindgom in Boca Raton was beyond helpful. Not only was the price of my tires he quoted me cheaper than 3 other local places I had received quotes from, even after an oil change also I still ended up saving money. I was in and out. From my experience being a young woman trying to find an honest mechanic not try to take advantage of you for lack of knowledge is difficult so this was a pleasant experience. JOSH is outstanding, he went above and beyond any other. I had a set of tires that were purchased elsewhere that the company redirected me here for warranty. He handled it from start to finish to make sure everything was completed to satisfaction even if that meant he had to be on the phone for over an hour with the manufacturer to verify. He then proceeded to do research on which tires would be the best fit for me, he placed the order and had them expedited in within three days rather than the week I was originally quoted. On the same day of arrival, he was able to get me in for an appointment to have the tires replace and aligned. The best Tire Kingdom in my area - Powerline rd/Hillsboro blvd - and I've been to all the ones near me. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and really try to find you the best deal.
