Dropped my car off at 12 noon. Was told it would be an hour and a half. It's 4:45pm I'm in the waiting room. Gave me a whole bunch of excuses that I wasn't answering phone calls. Not true. Welcomed them to review my call log. Not even sure if my tires got rotated. It's not on the bill and I requested it. More excuses about that. Not buying all the excuses. read more

I wish that I could give zero stars. After my regular shop closed, I went to Mavis in August 2024 for 2 new tires (due to weird wear on my 2 fronts). I requested new tires, an alternator, a rotation, replaced valve stems on the older 2, and an oil change. They helped themselves to replace a $200 serpentine belt without asking 'since they had it off.' They did not rotate my tires or replace the stems and asked me to return for that service. When they tried to send me home at closing time with underinflated tires, I insisted they fill them. I returned in February for the rotation and had noticed that new tires had developed leaks at the valve stems, so I requested they replace all 4 valve stems. They charged me, I left, and later I noticed that 3 of the stems had no caps, and two had tarnished appearing threads, leading me to believe they weren't replaced. Immediately 2 of the tires developed very slow leaks. Finally, after inflating, I bought a TPMS system to figure out the issue. Yesterday, I noticed one of them flat, at 9 psi and the other 15lbs down from optimal. When I called to complain and offer one more chance at my business, I was given three options by the store manager... 1 come back in two days, 2 come in and wait 2.5 hours, 3 go elsewhere. I told him to forget my business and called corporate. 24 hours later, I'm waiting for a return call from the Regional Manager. Obviously, shame on me. I am now searching for a new place to service my vehicles. read more

Routine oil change on a 8 year old compact. Guy behind the counter insisted i need synthetic oil. Was quite abrupt and didn't bother to explain why. Cost was $90 after the $20 coupon. Amounts to $12 per quart of oil, or double what it sells for in Walmart. I understand the need to mark up parts, but we may be entering greed territory here. I called for a quote to balance my 4 tires on my silverado. They quoted me $29.95 per wheel. At checkout they charged me $300 for balancing my existing tires. When I questioned the price the employee told me his computer dictates the price. Avoid this place !!! read more

Thank you so much to Alex and the team that I encountered today. I blew a tire on I-95 and after the roadside assistant was unable to change my tire I was towed to the shop. They were also unable to get this tire off, and I ultimately had to be towed to a car dealership, however, they did show me the issue and I was able to wait there pretty much all day until another tow truck came and towed me to the car shop in coconut Creek. The tire shop itself is clean and I did observe multiple people attempting to assist my car. Even though they were unable to help, I felt safe, waiting here for the lengthy time that I did. Recently went to Mavis and purchased 4 new tires. Not one of the most exciting moments of my day, but it's one of those jobs that I've been putting off and finally had to take care of. I booked my appointment and selected the tires I wanted online. On the day of the appointment, I showed up and they got things underway. Intake took 5 mins max. I was originally told it would take around 2.5 to 3 hours for the job. I then left the shop because it's no fun to wait for new tires in a tire shop. After checking in with them 3 hours later, I was disappointed to learn the car wasn't ready. Ultimately, it took 4.5 hours, which is not unreasonable. I just wish they would have given me a more accurate estimate so that I could have better planned my afternoon. I do want to mention that I was a bit annoyed that on my drive home one of my tires gave me a low air alert. When I checked, it was 29 instead of the required 35. The rest of the tires were fine, so there was an oversight or something during the installation process. Because Mavis was already closed by this point, I had to stop at a gas station and fill the tire up myself. Not a big deal. But not the best feeling after dropping $1300 on tires. Overall though, the tires are solid and I am happy. Three stars. Would probably use them again. read more

Con artists. Avoid. They will lie to you in order to sell you tires. I requested my old tire back before they began installing the new tire because I knew they were lying that it couldn't be patched and was told no problem. I go to pick up my car and my old tire magically disappeared, no one could find it. And if you want to know more, I had a nail hole dead center of the tread with multiple other mechanics telling me it could be patched. The tires were almost $500 each so that sales commission was too easy. I was also told on a Friday that the car would be ready by 3pm. Can you believe I got a call at 4pm that the delivery truck broke down and my new tires weren't going to arrive until Monday? This place is a joke. read more

Again, absolutely ridiculous. Friendly with a good follow through . Called to reserve 4 specific tires and they followed through and had it shipped to them and ready for our appointment. We had all 4 tires replaced and alignment done which took 3 hours. The good thing about this location is that you can walk to federal highway which has a lot of little places. We walked to Mane coffee, sat down and enjoyed coffee and tea and by the time we were back they were done. Love it! Of course if you don't mind walking in the Florida heat that is haha or you could uber it. They did recommend a brake change which we know we didn't need but I guess all car shops do that. read more

I have called this shop multiple times, was told each time that I can bring my car in for an alignment. Every time I bring my car in, either the tech is not there or the machine is broken. Today is my last straw, called hours before coming and had been told "yes bring your car in, we've been doing alignments today" and told me exactly what time to come in. Absolutely the worst automotive experience I've ever had, and living in South Florida that's a mouthful. They worked on both of my cars and screwed them both up. Mechanically incompetent for anything beyond an oil change. The replaced rotors and pads on my Mazda and within 2 years I had to have the work redone as the used inferior products for both rotors and pads. I brought my other car to a different location after experiencing issues with my brakes and they attempted to change the Master Cylinder on a 2011 Genesis without referring to the work manual and ended up keeping the car for two days because they didn't know they need to work with a specific procedure to effectively change the part. Last Wednesday I got a flat tire. I'm down here for college so I was nervous to go somewhere new to me even though I go to Mavis back home where I live. Kirk took great care of me! He said he could see what he can do once he saw my tire. He called me and was straight forward with me and told me what he had to do and if that was okay. When I went to pick up my car everyone was helpful and made me feel comfortable with my car and new tire!
