Got me in, did the service & showed me the worn parts in the front suspension, most I already knew about. I sat there for almost six hours watching people who came in after me get taken care of and leave. I asked for brand new tires all the way around and an alignment. I told them the truck was on the way to my mechanic after this stop to get the trucks other issues looked at and all I wanted them to do was change the tires and do the alignment. The mechanic constantly came in complaining and wanting to upsell me. I consistently turned them down, which he would punish me for by stopping work on my truck. Then, another upsell attempt. And another, and another. Finally, after almost six hours of this, the mechanic decided he couldn't do the alignment. I have no issues with the explanation, but I took issue with having to wait six hours for this conclusion that shouldn't have taken more than a few minutes to decide. I had to reschedule other work I had scheduled that day, at a cost to me. The cherry on top? After waiting six hours to have my new tires put on, they didn't even put the spare back on the hanger, they just threw it in the bed of the truck. My time is much more valuable to me than waiting six hours for new tires. I think this is my last visit to Big Chief. I left a shop I'd been going to for 30 years to try them out. Sorry, this is unacceptable by any standards.

KC and Gage are no good for their word, and they lie back and forth and stab each other in the back. I needed new engine gaskets, and Gage had no vehicle to get his family around, I offered to let him use my car while it was in the shop, until his truck was fixed, no strings, just take care of it for me. After all he said he was a Partner with KC. He seemed grateful for my offer, and told me that he would not charge me labor for letting him use the car. I thought that was amazing and was impressed that he would do that, unsolicited. I smoked their families turkeys for Thanksgiving, and Cornish Game Hen for Christmas, delivered them on trays and they seemed so grateful and happy to accept for their family holidays. I was not told at that time that KC booted my car out of the garage, because of Gages offer. I thought it was not in the garage because Gage was using it, I was actually happy that he was. I checked on the progress from time to time, and after three months, I could not deal with their lies any longer and confronted KC, he played dumb as a turnip (probable an honest act) and I asked where the car was. He told me it was ay Gages house, about three miles away, and if I was not paying for labor, he would not let the car be worked on in his shop. I tried contacting Gage but his phone was not working and I spoke with his very nice wife, who relayed my messages to him. Gage returned my call and finally told me the truth, I told him to call the shop and that I would be happy to pay for shop time, of course! He said he would call KC and everything should be fine. But it was not, and KC told me Gage never called him (as usual). That same day, I googled his house and drove out there. I was sitting in his front yard trashed!!!! I was beside myself and felt so stupid, and I realized I had been totally, totally screwed. They had possession of my car for three months, destroyed and trashed it in the process and I had to have it rescued and towed, from Gages house, back to mine, because of a disagreement those clowns had with each other, KC would not let Gage work on my car there, and according to Gage, KC was not paying him money that he owed for work he had done, and was looking for another job. He destroyed my pristine car, LOOK AT THE PICTURES, radiator cap was off, radiator was empty, interior was full of garbage, and when I started it, it smoked lie a chimney, I think he blew the engine up, like he did on his truck. I called AAA and had the car rescued and delivered back to my house, where it is at least safe. Still making payments on car and insurance. I am so screwed! WARNING! Don't trust these jokers, you can get screwed, too, and have only yourself to blame.

He made up some BS about he could see that the car had previous been in an accident which is why the bumper won't fit back on the car. The car has never been in an accident and has a clean vehicle history report. Regardless of that, I've owned the car now 4 years, never had an issue with the bumper until Pep Boys worked on it. When I explained that to him and the manager and that bottom line is that when I brought the car in the bumper was seated properly and after they worked on it the bumper no longer sits properly on the vehicle. All I got were blank stares. Not even an apology. The technician had the gall to ask but does the AC work, and when I said the AC was fine that the issue was the bumper he said I don't do body work, I work on AC and did my job. Then he tried convincing me to buy bumper clips to hold my bumper on. I was speechless. You wouldn't think a company like pep boys would hire such losers who would actually make up total lies to explain away their incompetence and shoddy work. STAY AWAY !! Each staff person that has helped me has been great. I must report that after having brakes done, one of the brake pads fell off. But , I returned to mavis and they immediately replaced the brake pad and rotor, standing by their warranties. After new struts, my convertible top would not work, but I found the electric line where the joining plug had separated and we just had to plug that back together. I think it separated as they had to move things to get to the struts and did not realize it. But it was an easy fix when we looked around . This shop has been my go-to place for all sorts of issues , and I have often called them my heros, because they have been so good to me. Mavis has all sorts of crazy warranties on stuff too, and you can go to any Mavis anywhere, if you need to check a warrantied part. I did that to check my new battery In another state and they were equally helpful. ( and my battery was fine) . Not many places can get you in and out on the same day you show up, but they sure try . I called the shop to discuss the car and Brittany answered. She was rude and acted as if she was a child that was dis regulated. I have been going to this location since it was Beachside Tire. I will never ever go there again and would not recommend this place to anyone. If she is the manager then they have a child running the location. I have been in the customer service field majority of my life and I would never ever speak to any customer as she did. She was rude and would over talk you and not allow you to speak. If you did try to speak she would say you are over talking her. She literally hung up on me because she said that my daughter called her and I just corrected her and said no, you called her. Somehow the truth upset her. NEVER GO HERE
