Adam at Tire Kingdom, just made my day!! I have a company car, and just moved into a new condo association on Sunday evening. Last night, Tuesday evening - I get a knock on my door from the condo association president, to let me know that oil is leaking from my car. And it needed to be cleaned up, ASAP. I told the president that I recently got my oil changed, but I would take care of it immediately, called my company car program who sent me to the nearest location to service which is here. Adam took my keys went out to the car and found out my last oil changed at Jiffy Lube did not twist the oil filter properly, he climbed underneath the car gave it a twist cleaned it off with a rag, no more leaks and no cost. Not a pleasurable experience...How much incompetence can you experience in one visit. Read on and find out... Called Tire Kingdom in Palmetto, Fl for a new set of tires on my Jeep. They quoted $1,217 Out the door price which I agreed to. Had to order the tires, March 15, and they would call me when they were delivered in 1-3 days. No call by March 18 so I called them. Tires were in, and install was scheduled for 12:00 Monday, March 21. Arrived at Tire Kingdom at 12:00 Monday with install completion promised by 1:30. By 3:00, mechanic was just finishing up the install so I checked to ensure the best old tire was saved as the new spare. (I specifically asked that the drivers rear tire be saved as spare, written on the work order). I spoke to the mechanic and sure enough, he had used the passengers rear as the spare. I confronted the mechanic with the mistake. So what was the mechanics reaction? He forcibly hurled a large wrench to the concrete floor and proceeded to yell obscenities' throughout the garage!! Your basic childs temper tantrum!! Upon seeing all of this, I told the manager I did not want this mechanic working on my car, while he was pissed off! Manager intervened, calmed both of us down, and the mechanic corrected the issue. Now it's checkout time. The quote was $1,217. The bill was $1,334. What is the difference, I asked, as I had not been notified of any additions or changes. OH!, someone added an tire alignment to the order for $99.99. I still don't know who added the alignment as no one took responsibility for it. Still not done...We paid the full bill, left Tire Kingdom and a few blocks down the road our tire alert starting beeping - Tire pressure on the tires was 25-30-38-41. The correct pressure should have been 35 on all tires. Obviously, no one bothered to check the pressure on 4 new tires. Back to Tire Kingdom for the last time (absolutely the last time since we will never go back!!) After all this, no adjustment to the cost! To summarize, late delivery, adding services without permission, temper tantrums, sloppy, sloppy work, zero customer service. What more can a company do to NOT earn my business! I came here to have a tire repaired, while thinking it was going to be a much more involved process; replacement of all four tires. My fears were confirmed, but the rep I worked with, Eric, was very understanding and he guided me to the best possible solution based on safety and cost. Eric stated the work would take approximately 2 hours to complete and he was able to deliver on his promise. I will give the credit to the actual mechanics and technicians as they are the ones doing the work and keeping things on schedule. Upon paying for the work, Eric informed me that one of the rims was bent. The mechanic stated he did his best to fix the rim but it would ultimately have to be replaced in order to get the best possible life out of the tire as well as the smoothest ride. I thanked them and set up another appointment to have the rim replaced. Again, this appointment was seamless and was offered a discount for bringing the vehicle back to this location for service. I like this place, and I believe once some of my other vehicles are out of warranty, I will be taking my vehicles here. read more

Last night, my wife's car suddenly developed an unsettling scraping/whapping/flapping noise, so I had a friend listen as I drove it to get a fix on where the noise was coming from. He narrowed it down to the right-rear wheel and I agreed with his assessment that it was (at best) a loose (or maybe broken) brake pad. I called the Palmetto, Florida Tire Kingdom and was told if I got there fairly quickly they could likely get it fixed today--for about $149 out the door, assuming it was just a replacement of the rear pads. I drove her car there, and they told me that they would give me a firm quote once it was up on the lift. Seemed reasonable to me. Barely 45 minutes later, the guy approaches me with my keys in his hand (I never did get that "firm quote") and says "you're all set." I asked "What do you mean... what's the charge?" And he replies that once they got the wheel off it became quite clear that there was a spring that had jarred loose... they got it back in place securely and I was good-to-go. Oh, and my brakes were in absolutely fine shape... hardly any wear at all. This isn't the first time I've visited Tire Kingdom and had them assess a problem and/or make a minor fix and send me on my way without a bill. (Most recently, I had a large screw in my tire... it turned out that it was a *very* short screw and it did not come close to actually puncturing anything. No repair was necessary... again, no charge.) These guys are great... they absolutely could have gone ahead and replaced those pads and I would have been none the wiser. This location is a terrible! I would recommend you stay as far away from this place as possible. They are as inefficient as I've ever seen, and they are out to con you out of every penny possible. We took my wife's car here yesterday 7/22/2021 to have tires installed on her vehicle. We scheduled an appointment online and drop her vehicle off to have work completed. We get home "3 minute drive " and my wife gets a call stating that she also needs new brakes. "The brakes are at 3mm and aren't squeaking yet but will be soon". My wife tells the woman on the phone that she's had her brakes replaced by them 2 months ago. The woman's response " oh I'm sorry Mrs $&@ we have 2 of the same cars here and got them mixed up." I literally just left the location minutes ago and know for a fact that there wasn't the same car at this location. They weren't busy so I was well aware of what cars were there. This a complete scam and con that they're running at this location. And FYI I had to run an errand after the call and drove by the shop and looked for the same car that she was claiming was there, and as you guessed, the mystery vehicle was not anywhere to be found. Day two. I take my vehicle up to this location at 8:30am to have tires replaced as I had scheduled online. Go to drop vehicle off and wait 10 minutes with not a single person in front of me, as two people sit at their computer fumbling through paperwork, and haven't as much as acknowledged me. I finally say something and get a semi rude response of I'm doing something right now just wait, I'll be with you. As I'm waiting the same woman whom called my wife yesterday to tell her that she needed work done that wasn't necessary at all, is telling an elderly woman in the waiting area all of the work that needs to be done, and how it'll take 8 or more hours at $129.99 an hour. And of course the elderly woman agrees to have work done. So eventually they help me, which took 20 minutes to do, with nobody inline ahead of me , and already having scheduled an appointment online. I call at 1 pm to see if my tires have been installed "No sir but it's next in line and will be done in an hour." Going on 4pm and haven't heard anything, so I call and ask if they have started working on my truck, and to my disbelief they've still not started. So I go pick my truck up and have the work done somewhere else. Complete waste of my day without a vehicle. No point in scheduling an appointment as it is pointless. Very unprofessional and again they are con artist. I highly recommend going to either Devitos or Lex automotive. I have been doing a lot of business with this location with many vehicles that I own. Please do yourself a favor and stay away and let others know of their tactics and scams. read more

My Nissan Xterra has a bad vibration. Thought maybe differential or U Joint. Explained the "symptoms" to Tire King. Got call followINC day and they said I needed rear shocks and a strut. Ok I gave them the go ahead. Picked my truck right b4 closes. Drove it 1 1/2 -2 miles and it starts the same vibration. Yep. Not fixed! Took it back up to Tire King - had the manager- Jordan - go for a drive with me. He feels the vibration! Then..get this..proceeeds to tell me "yeah the mechanic that worked on your vehicle isn't a very good mechanic ". Then proceeds to direct me to a different Tire King location and the name JT to ask for. "He's a really good mechanic ". Are you freaking serious!?!? Do not use!!! read more

What at one point was a great place has fallen apart. I had a squeaky noise in my breaks and took it in for service. They told me I needed new pads. Put the pads on still had noise. Two weeks later took it back and they said I needed new roters. We had them fix it. After about $800 00 in work breaks still made noise they said we would have to live with. Called corporate office they sent us to Bradenton store. After 5 MN the guy came out said your all set u had a pebble stuck in back left break pad. Figured tire kingdom in palmetto would refund the money we never needed to spend the district manager refused. Beware I will not spend another dime with tire kingdom after that. Beware of Tire Kingdom. Put 4 new tires on my 2012 Ford F150 truck. Change the lug nuts size without calling me and cross-threaded them onto of each of tires so I have a total of eight stripped out lug nuts between all 4 tires. Go down to the shop 2 days later to tell me there's a problem on how lug nut is on the truck. First cannot find the paperwork and told that I am lying. After getting the paperwork was told the lug nut swelled when putting them on. This is the first time I heard of this, I served in the Air Force as crew chief of aircraft for 24 years and never heard of this. I told the manager ok the bolt swelled but you change the size of the lug number and strip them out where I cannot get the tires off. After I told them you did this I was told I need to leave or I will call the police. I want the lug number fixed but kept lying to me. BEWARE OF THEM AND AVOID THEM. read more

Went in later to have the wheels balanced and aligned because car was noisy at speed and after a 3-hour assessment (no alignment done) they told me I needed new shocks and tires. My car was brought in with a nail in tire. Apparently tire was too old to fix. We bought 4 new tires from Guy (very friendly employee). They were put on quickly at end of day. It was driven home and sat in garage. Drive car to church, came out to a complete flat tire. Spare was out on. Of course Tire Kingdom closed on Sundays. Called to make an appointment Monday. Jordan (store manager) was not very nice or accommodating. Said could not get us in that day. Made appointment for Tuesday am. Was told had to pay for roadside hazard again for the new tire. Are you kidding me? I spoke to Jordan and he said it had to be paid. I then gave phone to my boyfriend to speak with. Jordan put phone on speaker and continued to very loudly and rudely talk to my boyfriend. He ended conversation with "God bless you and have a great day." I am waiting for new tire to arrive at this location to be put on. If I were you I would definitely not come to this location. The store manager, Jordan is not friendly. So I got my oil changed here. Then a couple of months later my car breaks down. I found out my alternator went bad which caused my battery to kick the bucket. So, several hundred dollars later. I'm getting the car fixed and I was with the mechanic while it was being fixed. So the mechanic pulls out the alternator and it's covered in caked up oil... so for reference, I have a top mounted insert oil filter and the alternator sits directly underneath it... The mechanic gets the new alternator on and starts the car up. Seconds later the oil filter cap stats leaking like mad. So I decided to replace the filter. Once I got it off I noticed something strange about the oil filter ring. The surface looked flat and I was sure it was supposed to be rounded. Sure enough I was correct and that was without a doubt the main component of the leakage. But, then I also realized the incorrect oil filter was inserted. But lol on top of all that, I asked for synthetic, which is graded to last up to possibly a year. Even though I wouldn't wait that long to get an oil change, I do expect the oil to look good for a while. But no, after only 4 months the oil is very black. So odds are they didn't even get the oil right. read more

Quoted 154 for two tires (simply to be installed on rims, which I took to them) over phone, went in, then it jumped up to 198. I asked why the massive difference, I was basically called a liar; that they didn't quote me that. Then he says "that was before tax" (although I asked for "out the door" price on phone), which made it 173. So I then asked why the difference again, (173 reality vs. 198 rip-off price) the manager said "There, I just removed the lifetime rotation, and roadside hazard warranty" and magically it was then 173. THEN, I pick them up, get home, and when installing them on car, realize they left the SAME OLD, DRY ROTTED valve stems in the wheels, but replaced the tires. I wouldn't trust them to wash a car, let alone do any type of work on one. Total incompetence, typical hillbilly service. read more

The vehicle took an additional day to be repaired than what was quoted. The vehicle was damaged during my visit. Suddenly my vehicle is leaking heavily and that leak did not exist when I dropped it off. I asked to speak to the manager , Jordan and he didn't bother t. One speak with me. He just let sending his employee back to explain that they didn't do anything wrong. There was not a leak when dropped off and there was upon pickup. It was a bad leak. Then on top of that they jacked the prices up on the repair of the item that I fee they caused. They worked in the exact area where the leak occurred. I believe they hit the hose , jarred the hose of something to create this problem. They feel that in the 5 miles I drove it the hose just so happened to break during that exact 5 miles. That doesn't make any sense. I just don't believe that is true. The mechanic that worked on the vehicle during the first visit would have noticed the leak since he worked next to the hose. So instead now that there is more work that needs to be done they jacked the price up from the price shown to me by the employee. He showed me the printout of the part given to him by the mechanic. It was $97,00 and suddenly the part costs me $135. So not only did your employee likes cause the damage your company took advantage of me beings transfer to jab me for even higher prices then you pay. That is unethical to say the least. It was obvious that your manager get at fault since he wouldn't even come see his customer when I asked to speak to him. read more

Seemed great at first however an hour and forty five minutes later that changed. I went online set up an appointment and checked the boxes for the services my vehicle required. The serv in ce required was to check a leaky tire and an oil change. I arrive at Tire Kingdom and advise the employee of my name, appointment time and the work my vehicle needed. On the television screen on the wall my name was posted with the time of my appointment. After an hour I'm told there is a nail in the sidewall of the tire and it needs to be replaced. I pick out a new tire and am told it will be another half an hour. By the time the work is done it's been an hour and forty five minutes. I was ok with the wait time until I got into my car and discovered no oil change had been done. I went back into Tire Kingdom and asked why the oil change wasnt done and was told they had no idea what I was talking about. I told the employee i had asked for the oil change and the tire to be checked not only when I came in but when I signed up for the appointment online. I was advised that they had no idea about the oil change and the online appointment only sets up the appointment. So they apparently make you fill out what you need done online for no reason? Essentially I sat and waited an hour and forty five minutes to have a tire changed. Awesome. read more

DISHONEST! 2.5 years ago took 07 Tacoma in for U-joint replacement. 1.5 years ago took mother in law's 08 Scion xB in for compressor replacement with serpentine belt and coolant flush. While we were on vacation 4 months later mom in law heard noise, and rather than waiting until we got back, took it in to have it diagnosed. Replaced her serpentine belt and did coolant flush! When we returned, we took receipt in and spoke with manager, would not refund even though same work was performed 4 months earlier. Last week, same U-joints on same Tacoma started to squeak-took it in, Tire Kingdom said nothing wrong, suggested other pricey repairs. Knowing better, I declined, and took it to dealer-they advised the UJoints were 'eaten up with rust' and needed replaced. Response from Tire Kingdom? Sorry, not sorry. I would have paid for labor if they would have covered cost of junk Ujoints, still no accommodations. Might be okay for something simple, but don' let them do any repairs until you get a second opinion, even then be sure to compare warranties between repair shops first. I am a 63 year old woman, the kind most try to take advantage of. Yet, I received rare courteous, respectful, considerate, and thorough service. On top of that, I know that the price I paid was very good and fair. I had gotten other quotes prior to choosing this business. Worst experience ever- stay far away from this place. We went in for a simple oil change. After several hours they called telling us my husband's brakes needed to be replaced. We asked how much and how long. They stated a reasonable price and said it would be done before they closed. I dropped my husband off 30 minutes before their closing time and when he wasn't home an hour and a half later, I called to find out the issue. They messed up his truck so bad with the brake change that he could not drive the vehicle home. I dropped him back off the next day and they made him Uber to get a rental car that we had to pay for out of pocket. The truck was picked up later that day and as we were driving it, all of the alert/alarm lights began going off. We took it back the next day for several hours and they could not figure out what they had done. My husband, who drives for a living doing sales, spent no less than 20 hours trying to get his truck fixed by them which means he missed out on nearly a week of sales. This affected us financially in addition to being a gigantic pain in the neck. We finally had to take the car to the dealership and they had it for another 2 days trying to repair what Tire Kingdom had done to the truck. We were told by their corporate offices that we would be reimbursed for the costs of getting my husband's truck fixed. When the bills coming to $1,500.00 from the dealership came in, they only wanted to pay a small portion of it. So we were out several hundred dollars from the invoices and several thousand dollars from loss of work for my husband because we had the misfortune to trust these people with our cars. It is not worth the savings on a simple oil change to go here. Our time was stolen as well as alot of money- go elsewhere! read more

both back tires were bad on our drive home from key west and 30 minutes before close the manager adam wouldn't put on the tires but offered to put one donut on it. after declining his help because we know how to put a donut on, he comes over with a jack and starts jacking the car up, while we are halfway through he lets the jack down almost on my dads head. we will definitely be calling corporate because in no circumstances should a worker let down the jack on someone or turn us down 30 minutes till close for just a tire change!! read more

Tire Kingdom does have low prices but no service, at least not at this location. Every time I've been there there is always someone new, they never return your calls, call you when your tires are in or when your car is ready. I gave them plenty of chances to keep my business but feel it would be a mistake to return there! We took our vehicle in a little over six weeks ago for a simple tire plug. They lifted the hydraulic jack up with the door open crimping the bottom of the drivers door and bending the hinges. They sent us on our way without ever telling us they had damaged the vehicle and it being dark out I couldn't see the damage until the next morning. When we returned to speak to them about it, they told my wife their was no way they could have left the door open when the jack was lifted because that is against their policy. And that the damage must have occurred elsewhere, despite the fact that the yellow paint from their jack had transferred to the door in the exact dimensions of the jack. After I called an escalated this to their corporate office, their district manager said they would never apologize for the damages, but that they would take care of the repairs. We retrieved them two estimates for the damages and were told it would be approximately 2 weeks for us to receive the check for the repairs. After 3 weeks I called their customer service again and they gave me a new number for their actual customer service associate. Apparently they outsource customer service instead of handling it themselves. It has now been six weeks since they did nearly a thousand dollars in damages to my vehicle, and we are still waiting for them to fix it. I've given up on them ever saying they are sorry for the inconvenience they've caused and the customer service only got worse the higher up I went. My conversation with their district manager was the worst display of customer service I have ever seen. We've spent over a couple thousand dollars buying tires from tire kingdom in the last 5 years, but after this we will never return again. I urge you to think twice about spending your money here and find someone local that knows how to own up to their mistakes and treats customers with more respect. read more
