The issues didn't stop there. This happened on a Friday. I was told my car would be ready before 4:00 PM, but around 4:30 PM I only received a last-minute text update. I arrived at approximately 5:09 PM, and the shop was already closed. There was no one available, no way to speak to anyone, and no reliable way to get updates or access my vehicle. Because of the timing and the fact that it was already Friday evening, my car would have been stuck there all weekend until Monday, which directly affected my work schedule. I had to go out of my way to find and contact the owner myself just to avoid being left without my vehicle for multiple days. While I did get my car back, the overall experience felt inconsistent, poorly communicated, and not handled in a transparent or professional way

I only discovered the truth recently when a tire puncture hit the inner barrel--the finish flaked off in thin, paper-like sheets of wet paint. Four independent professional wheel shops inspected them and all confirmed it is liquid paint, not powder coat. An acetone test confirmed it instantly--the black pigment melted right off onto a swab, which cured powder coat never does. ​When I called, staff insisted they wouldn't use black paint, and the owner, Freddie, initially claimed they were fully powder coated. However, Freddie admitted: "We used black paint, but a clear powder coat, which is the same thing." Liquid paint under a clear coat is not the same thing--it lacks the proper adhesion and durability of a true powder coat, which is why it's flaking off bare metal. When asked to make this right, Freddie refused unless I paid an extra $350 per wheel ($1,400 total). Be very careful expecting genuine powder coating here.
