I ordered two tires from here, and it took four or five days for them to get here. They looked good, so no issues there. I took them to get mounted and during the mounting of one, a leak was found. The tire was flat within an hour. I called and was told to take a picture of the flat tire. I emailed it in, and for four days, I got emails back obviously from different people, because the same information was requested over and over. I got fed up and finally called. I wanted a refund of the tire as well as another $20 credited for the cost of mounting a faulty tire. I had to work my way up the ladder and finally reached a manager named Julio. Julio was short and rude with me and kept talking over me, refusing to listen to what I had to say. I explained that I was out $20 because they failed to inspect the tire properly. He said because it wasn't mounted there, there was nothing they could do. Of course it wasn't mounted there; they're in PA and I'm in SC. He said it was 50% the shop's fault who mounted the tire because they should have also seen the leak. How can you see a leak in a tire until it's mounted and has air in it? This Julio guy was a jerk. Looking through their reviews, it seems as though the majority of 5* reviews are fake. They're all written identically. Never doing business with them again, that's for sure. UPDATE: shortly after I left the above review, they sent the following email: "At this point if you are willing to remove the comment you made on google, once we see that it has been removed we can process that additional $20 as a courtesy. Please advise." So they bribed me to give me the money back I was entitled to. I refused to take the review down and threatened to put them on blast on all other review sites unless they gave me my $20. Then they wrote, "After consulting with ownership that refund of $20 will be processed within 2-3 business days." Now that the $20 has gone back to my card, I'm going to write reviews everywhere I can. That's what you get for trying to mess with people. You should have just given me back the $20 I deserved in the first place and you could have avoided all of this. Take this as a lesson. read more

They advertised the tires as very good but they were a 4 out of 10 for wear, were patched several times and had dry rot. I had no choice but to put the tires on for an inspection and the place told me the tires were not very good and showed me all the issues. After having the tires on for a few days one of the tires needed air and I found out one of the patches was leaking and it could not be repatched. Email the company with my issue and they offered to return my money however I need 4 tires to drive not 3 and they did not have a replacement in stock. They told me to keep checking the website. In the meantime I have spent over $30 in air for a $27 tire and still over a month no replacement nor have they offered a solution. Completely disappointed in the quality of the tires I received and their customer service. read more

I had an overall great experience with Best Used Tires. I bought a pair of tires & when I had them installed, one had a hole in the sidewall. The replacement they were going to send had a sidewall hole too. So they gave credit for the bad tire & I bought a set of 4 matching tires. When I had them installed, I sent back the one good tire with a label they sent. My refund was processed in 4 days. I got a great set of tires for a great price & the customer service was top notch. My son ordered 4 tires according to the year and model on the Bestusedtires.com website. He put in the correct information but ended up getting the wrong sized tires. He could not use these tires for his car, so we wanted to return them. They were happy to give us our money back (minus 15%) and would not pay for shipping them back ($150). We felt that it was not our fault but theirs, and that we should not have to pay for shipping. They kept saying that the wheels were not original manufactures equipment - but they were. They were rude and just kept repeating the same thing- the OME problem. Got our refund but less 15% and paid a lot for shipping. The internet company started out well. I purchased several tires from them and was pleased. However, something has happened. Now, the tires they offered are very hit or miss. You can get a great tire, better than they claimed, or you get a tire that isn't remotely what they claim. This is a serious problem because you have to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee. In other words, it is not cost effective to return. Because of this inconsistency, I gave them a neutral review on ebay, and they banned me from future purchasing off ebay, and refused to rescind. The Better Business Bureau rates them an F, probably a little harsh, but this is not an A or B company. Sad read more

(this company is the same as VYC Tires) I've ordered a few pairs of tires from these guys over the years. Never again. Several years ago, I got a pair, had them mounted, and then found that they both had sidewall punctures leading to slow leaks (an hour or two). They said they must have been vandalized during shipping (UPS at the time) and refunded my $$, but I was of course out the hassle and mounting/balancing expense on this one, and forced to immediately buy new tires locally since the car was not useable. The recent problem was that the representative photos they used to advertise my tires do not look anything like what I received in terms of the wear. I photo'ed my tires, emailed them in, expecting an apology and some compensation, but got nothing but BS from the manager, Julio. BBB case filed. BE VERY CAREFUL when you decide to buy a used tire from them. I received my tire with a surprise as there is a significant hole patch on it, which was not described on their website, despite they claimed that all their used tires may have been patched. When I contacted them for a return, including talking to their manager, they offered me either $20-25 refund for me to keep the tire for my own mistake, or a return with $40 loss. I took the $25 refund offer and decided to keep the patched used useless tire to avoid further hassle. I asked them to delete my account permanently from their site as I will never come back to buy anything from them, nor do I recommend anyone to buy tires from them. read more

I am very disappointed that your company did such a poor repair job on this tire. It would have been very useful if your company would have had the note about it possibly having had a repair in the description as opposed to the fine print. Went to buy two tires. They said it would take 15 minutes and it ended up taking about 3 and a half hours...They tried three different tires and they couldn't mount them because they found holes in them. They wouldn't even give a discount and told me my options were to get a refund(after having mounted one tire already) or to get tires with less tread than the ones I had already paid for (no partial discount for having to settle with tires with less tread left on them.) I had a good experience. Got two 8/10 used SUV Michelin HP latitude tires with shipping for $150. Brand new retail is over $200 per tire. No leaks, no repairs. I am satisfied. I would not trust their description as others have said. Bought one used tire to match the tires already on the car. Tires on the car were at half life. Their tire was advertised as 70-80% tread, but upon arrival, it had less tread than those on the car. Again, I know those were at 50% from the Discount Tire receipt. Also claimed no uneven wear or dry rot. Their tire had both. Free return does not make sense considering restocking fee and return shipping. read more

I tried to purchase a single tire from this company for replacement on a leased car I was returning. Got such a run around about my tire being shipped to my job they asked me to sent personal info like credit card statements to them no way. Tried calling them multiple times put on hold fifteen to twenty minutes at a time just to be sent to an answering machine. Ive purchased 3 sets of tires from bestusedtires.com. Never had any issues with the first set. The second set was a pair of Kumhos for my BMW, not only did one tire have 2 patches in it already, but the second had a hole where it looked like they drilled it out but forgot to patch it. I gave in and paid the technician to go ahead and patch it for me. The third set had the same issue, they will refund the money for the patches if you email them a receipt but in their policy states: "Every USED tire is inspected at least twice, once prior to listing for sale and once again prior to shipping out to a buyer" If they failed to look over the tire, the most important thing on your vehicle you simply cannot trust them. I learned my lesson and didnt even bother to get a refund for the patch repairs. Never again... Gave them 2 stars because they do have good customer service and a free shipping feature, who ever looks over the tires should be fired! read more

There was a small pin hole in 1 of the 4 tires. I had them installed at a Very Reputable national chain. I called, sent numerous emails and fax. The tire installation store did the same on my behalf. I ordered 2 tires from Best used Tires, then 2 more the same size, treed & manufacture. I stored the first order until I saw the 2nd set of tires same as above. The 1st set of tires were manufactured in 02 & 04, way past where tire shops will mount tires. Then one of the tire had a bad bead on the tire. In looking for 4 tires to match, the first set where past the 90 days exchange time, "I get that". I sent the old tire back, Julio Lopez with Best Used Tires would do NOTHING to fix the problem. He wouldn't credit my account, send replacements tires or ever return my old tires. I have ordered tires through them for years, very loyal customer. The tire arrived on time as promised. However it arrived with a repair. While the repair looks to be very good and the site warns that it may arrive showing repairs I think that that description of the tire should include exactly what was done to the tire. I am having the tire mounted tomorrow with crossed fingers hoping that it is in good working condition. I took a chance and totally understand that. I also understand that if they post the repair in the product listing they may never sell any tires. So it is a dilemma. If I am able to update this I will after mounting the tire. read more

Dont buy from this place!! They send out tires with holes in them and are no help when you call about the problem. Manager Julio is a complete jerk, probably because they get so many complaints. Im out the tire + cost to mount and balance and have no idea when it will be resolved. Tire came quickly, looks great, had it mounted and it has a slow leak. Looses 10 pounds of air overnight setting off the low pressure indicator light. Leak can not be found by the tire installer (major chain), but they dismounted and remounted with extra care and supplies. I will see if that solves the issue and chalk it up to fault installation. read more
