Some good Samaritans pushed me into their lot. When they examined the car, they found some vacuum hoses had been TORN OUT! I explained that the car was just fine before that. They fixed the problem and sent the bill to the Roseville store. (I didn't know that Roseville is corporate owned and the one on 33rd Ave. and E. Lake St. is a franchise.) I will NEVER go back to that shop on Larpenteur in Roseville!!!!

Two, with the coupon from their website I was also able to get my tires rotated for a very affordable price. Unfortunately, the convenience of the location was reduced when you take into account the parking lot had zero place to park (not including the single cramped handicap space) to even check in, and no room to even turn your car around. When my car was done, the guy at the desk said one of my tires was going to need to be replaced. I asked to make sure my tires were rotated, he said he thought so. I didn't feel confident about the answer but didn't feel I had a way of checking it. He also told me I needed a new battery, even though it had recently been replaced. When I got home later I noticed my personal info I dictated (and spelled) to him was all wrong on the paperwork, minus my phone number. Additionally, they also had the wrong size tires recommended on the form (but somehow they'd rotated mine?). You can easily see the correct size on the tire sidewall but they have down 215/60R16. So I felt even less confident things were done as I was told. 'Fortunately', I remembered that there's a mark on my right rear tire from some damage in a parking ramp a few months back. When it originally happened, I took photos. Sure enough, same mark on the same tire (right rear) still exactly lines up with my wheel. What's more, my left rear tire has been consistently losing a tiny amount of air faster than the others. Had they been rotated, it should show in a different location that it's losing air, but it's still the left rear tire (they did put air in all the tires). I understand this was an incredible deal, and it seems like they are understaffed and overbooked. I would have just appreciated the truth, or even having been told up front that they couldn't rotate my tires that day. And perhaps, when making the appointment, letting people know where's a safe place to drop off/park their car.

After jerking me around by never calling me back or responding to me unless to tell me they were running late (AGAIN) they finally arrive and replace the tire, great. Less than 12 hours later I check the tire pressure it's at 9psi. Being reasonably frustrated having been charged $200 I call and she tells me again she'll call me back. She doesn't. Then when I finally do reach her, instead of being apologetic trying to correct the situation, she tells me that I could've been driving around on It all day and run over a nail. (The car stayed in the driveway all day). Then "do you want me to come look at it or not"? What do you think???!!!! I was reasonably frustrated and I ask that she come look or refund me. She tells me "you don't have to be rude" and hangs up on me. Then doesn't answer any more of my calls or texts. Not a SINGLE APOLOGY When I got to Firestone this morning, they also shared with me that she put the WRONG size tire on. Oh and this morning it was completely flat. She knew what the correct tire size was too, screenshot attached for proof. She sent it to me via text after I told her over the phone. She also put a USED tire on the car. And before you respond to this review the same way you did to the others - about how I didn't have the money to pay - refund my $200.92 and 20% tip you did not deserve. I feel completely scammed and taken advantage of, being almost 6 hours from home, I was foolish for wanting a solution that I thought would be quick and convenient (and done correctly apparently). The thing that makes this place the best is Matthew (manager) who has been there for as long as I have been coming here. Matthew excels at customer service. He is excellent at explaining what is going on with your car in lay terms. He loves answering any questions you might have. I also never feel pressured to have things fixed. He is good at realistically telling me how much of a priority fixing things should be. I really wish they still did drop offs/pickups but I know they are short staffed and it takes a lot of time. I appreciate that the team went the extra mile trying to get my car back into a shape that would meet my goal of being able to drive it for a few more years, and conferred with me each step of the way. In the end, I paid only for the work they had done to diagnose the issue and get my car starting reliably again. I would trust these folks with any repairs I need in the future for certain. They listened to me, were honest about the issues they encountered, and gave me good advice through every step.

I dropped my car off for a front end alignment, which they charge $159.95 for. Fair enough…read more I was told that during their pre-alignment inspection they discovered that the passenger side outer tie rod end was worn and needed to be replaced in order for the alignment to be done. This makes sense, so I said ok go ahead and do it. I was then told that with the alignment and tie rod end replacement, the total cost would now be $565.04! I decided to do it because my car was already there in the shop and it needed to be done, however this price is insane for the work that was done. They charged me $98.92 for the tie rod end, which is a very large markup. They charge $239.81 PER HOUR for labor, which is completely crazy. I was charged for an hour of labor, when I know for a fact that changing out one single tie rod end should only take a decent mechanic 15-20 minutes. It is ridiculously easy. Finally, they charged me $57.83 for "RO Fees" which include recycling, environmental, shop supplies and hazardous waste disposal. This makes no sense to me because I had no fluids changed that needed disposal, and the only shop supplies they would have needed for a tie rod end and an alignment would be paper towels, maybe a dab of anti-seize, maybe a pair of nitrile gloves. Nearly $60 is straight up robbery for the job they did for me. Yes, they are friendly. Yes, I think the work they do is fine. What they charge, however, is not reasonable and I think they are taking advantage of the many people who need their car fixed and don't know a whole lot about mechanical work. This is why I try to do most of my own repairs, but some things (like alignments) a guy just can't do in his driveway.
