I sat there for almost six hours watching people who came in after me get taken care of and leave. I asked for brand new tires all the way around and an alignment. I told them the truck was on the way to my mechanic after this stop to get the trucks other issues looked at and all I wanted them to do was change the tires and do the alignment. The mechanic constantly came in complaining and wanting to upsell me. I consistently turned them down, which he would punish me for by stopping work on my truck. Then, another upsell attempt. And another, and another. Finally, after almost six hours of this, the mechanic decided he couldn't do the alignment. I have no issues with the explanation, but I took issue with having to wait six hours for this conclusion that shouldn't have taken more than a few minutes to decide. I had to reschedule other work I had scheduled that day, at a cost to me. The cherry on top? After waiting six hours to have my new tires put on, they didn't even put the spare back on the hanger, they just threw it in the bed of the truck. My time is much more valuable to me than waiting six hours for new tires. I think this is my last visit to Big Chief. I left a shop I'd been going to for 30 years to try them out. Sorry, this is unacceptable by any standards.

When I called ahead they said there was no wait, when I got there, I was told there was a 2 hour wait. I think I waited 45 minutes. Read reviews online and they were pretty legit. They claimed no issues. Since then, I have been told that the tire is defective, that it has a hob. This is true since when traveling at around 50 mph you can actually see the jump of the hood! Told me that I needed an oil change, tie rods etc... sorry but the oil was just changed and the rods are all good as I have trustworthy mechanics work on my car. Each staff person that has helped me has been great. I must report that after having brakes done, one of the brake pads fell off. But , I returned to mavis and they immediately replaced the brake pad and rotor, standing by their warranties. After new struts, my convertible top would not work, but I found the electric line where the joining plug had separated and we just had to plug that back together. I think it separated as they had to move things to get to the struts and did not realize it. But it was an easy fix when we looked around . This shop has been my go-to place for all sorts of issues , and I have often called them my heros, because they have been so good to me. Mavis has all sorts of crazy warranties on stuff too, and you can go to any Mavis anywhere, if you need to check a warrantied part. I did that to check my new battery In another state and they were equally helpful. ( and my battery was fine) . Not many places can get you in and out on the same day you show up, but they sure try .
