    My daughter took her Ford Taurus in for an oil change. At the end of service the tech could not…read moreget the hood to close. Another tech came over and said "just slam it really hard", which he did. I later looked at the car and the hood was notably out of alignment. Upon opening the hood the first thing I noticed was that the cap for coolant reservoir was sitting next to the tank as was not put back on. This was holding the hood up. She called back to the location and spoke to the Manager, he said she can come back and he will "top it off" I had told her to demand a full system flush. The manager said he can't offer that without seeing it, and seemed very disinterested. He never asked her for her name, invoice number or specifics, nor did he offer to schedule. Noting here that VIOC address concerns by asking you to contact the care team. I sat on hold for 15 mins twice and their system dropped me. I then used the chat feature and was able to file a claim. I was told local management would call within two days, but usually sooner. I asked for an area/district manager or higher leadership since the local manger was already dismissive. UPDATE - They have contacted me on the claim and they are flushing the system and refunding the initial service. This is the resolution I was expecting.

    I had scheduled my car for a battery replacement solely for their policy of if you buy a battery…read morefrom Walmart, the install is free because for my car you have to remove the tire to get to the battery and most other places would charge labor. We called multiple times prior to scheduling an appointment asking if that would be an issue or an extra charge and were told it would be free. My cars battery is dead so we had to portable jump start the vehicle to get it to the Walmart for the appointment. We had stopped the car off around 3:30pm for a scheduled 4pm appointment. We dropped off early so we could go run errands and come back when it was done. We received a phone call at 4:45pm telling us that in order for them to change the battery, the driver front tire needed to be removed but according to them, the tread wasn't legal for them to put back on after the battery replacement and we would need a new tire. We replaced the tires on the car a little over a year ago so we thought it was unnecessary but we said no problem, we will pay for the tire. They agreed and resumed service, or at least that what's we believed. We did not get a text notification saying the service had started until 6:41pm and the auto department closes at 7pm. They called us again at 6:51pm saying they could not get the tire off due to seized bolts and they did not have the tools to break it. At this point we are mad and went back to pick up the key and was told to pick up at the FRONT customer service desk. We arrived at 7:15pm, stood in line for 15 mins at the service desk only to be told the key is back in the automotive dept. We spoke with two people from the service department and a coach, after looking at the tread on our tires and it was FINE. Again, these tires were put on maybe 14 months ago. We truly believe they realized they had to remove the tire to get to the battery and decided they didn't want to do the job so came up with ridiculous excuses and gave us the run around and wasted my time. The automotive employee was also smiling and laughing when we were expressing our frustration which was extremely unprofessional. NEVER get service here unless you want low quality technicians handling your vehicle that do not want to put in any effort.

    If ZERO stars were an option, that's what rating I would give…read more The front counter staff worked at a very slow pace and didn't even acknowledge my presence for the 20-30 minutes I waited to be helped. When I came back to pick up my vehicle, I waited another 15 minutes before receiving acknowledgement, much less service. In that time, 3-4 mechanics walked right by myself, and the others waiting to be helped. I caught eye contact with the manager, who before looking up was dragging his feet, tossing a trinket in the air. I'm sure he could could see the frustration in my demeanor. He approached and asked if he could do anything. I said that all I needed were my keys so I could leave. He proceeded to say that he could not help me because he was supervising, and that I would have to wait until the ONE counter employee came back in. WHAT?! I'm sure in the amount of time you spent dawdling around the room, tossing a gadget in the air, you could have taken care of a few people in line. If the MANAGER himself was rude, offered poor service and excuses, it will tell you a lot about how the rest of the staff is going to be run. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RETURN AND I WILL SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH ANY AND ALL WHO INQUIRE.
