My mother went to get a replacement for a key fob battery. The tech said she needed to leave the car for service. She only wanted the key fob battery. They kept the car overnight . I called and the manager, and he laughed at me for explaining her request asking about service. He very rude and said tell her to pick it up. She went by this afternoon and he started yelling at her. Got a flat tire on my way to work yesterday. Luckily I have run flats so I was able to drive safely at 5am. I called at 7am and Dan answered the phone with a great attitude. He was super helpful and quick to search his inventory to see he had one tire that matched what I had and set it aside for me. When I got there he was there and quickly checked me in and called me when it was done. Quick service and really appreciated. I'm done with their inaccurate repairs, poor service, and constant turnover of mechanics who seem more focused on selling than on service. 2 years ago Tires Plus told me I needed breaks all the way around. Spent $1200 on it. About 3 months later they started to shake very badly on the interstate. I took the truck back to them to get them looked at. They told me my rotors were "broken". They replaced them under warranty. Another 4-6 months go by and the same problem happens again. I bring the truck back again, they replaced them again. This cycle went out for about 2 years. The last time they told me I would have to pay again, because it was "outside the warranty". So I did l, with the hope of the warranty to cover me in 3 months when I had to bring the truck back. 1.5 months later, I brought the truck in for the same reason the truck shakes uncontrollably when slowing down on an off ramp or in traffic. They held my truck for 6+ days. I called this morning at 9a, to find out what's going on. They told me my truck had been picked up already...... not true, i knew it was still at their shop. They told me a technician would call me back in 20-30 mins. After about 5 hours I called them back. It is now 2:15p, They told me they are unable to fix the problem, they started. That I would have to take my truck to the dealer..... 2 years, 6 days, and 5 hours, wasted just to hear that. Never bring your car here!!! read more

I had ordered five new tires from tire rack online. They apparently have an agreement to recommend tires plus if you purchase their tires. I had made an appointment at 2:30 on Wednesday to have the work done with tires plus. Half of the order of tires showed up prior to that time and half showed up at 4:30 that day. I understood that my. Vehicle may not be done until Friday. Friday came and my car was up on the rack from morning until night. I drove by twice to see if work was going to be done and it was not. I did recall that tires plus dis Theine with me buying the tires from tire rack. They did explain they match low prices and other things like that. Friday came and went and many cars had new sets of tires put on and they left. Saturday came. I called them Saturday and said I car. They said they would get to it when they could. At this point, I do not understand what that statement meant. Fortunately it was ready about two hours after their opening. They did a good job, although the grease was not cleaned off the tires. And one tire still had a label, stuck to it.. But their tires. But 2 1/2 days of waiting for my vehicle is a little bit ridiculous. read more

Went to have wheels and tires installed. The techs tracked grease all over my carpets. Cost me several hundred dollars to have them cleaned.

Made an appointment to get tires rotated and transmission fluid service. Dropped off the car at 11 as scheduled. They said they were unable to get to it on Saturday so we left it there. At 11 on Sunday we called asking on an update they said the mechanic was at lunch and would call us when they got back. We hear nothin so we called back at 2pm to confirm when they will close. They said it would be done by 5. We get there at 4:45 and NOTHING was done and they couldnt find our key. Terrible at no point did they call or give us any updates. Dont leave your car...they wont do anything. read more

Visited Tire Plus yesterday for assistance with the tire pressure that was showing low pressure for one tire. They checked the pressure in all the tires (because I had just tried to do it myself at Gate .. mistake) and were very helpful and told me I could come any time for a tire check. This morning my tire pressure light was on and I took it back to see if I had a puncture.. they rechecked my tires and said they were fine. I told Quon, the very nice young man who helped me, the low pressure indicator was still on and he took more time and cleared the announcement and I happily went on my way. Started to get a flat tire last night. Really, panicky because it was raining cats and dogs. Looked over and saw the Tires Plus Store right near where I was going in Ponte Vedra. God is Good! Stopped in about a half hour before they were due to close. They jumped on my car and took care of the tire right away. Had to buy a new tire because the puncture was in the sidewall. These guys were fair in their pricing, very courteous, and gave great service. They were also very prompt. Their waiting room was very clean and nice as well as the restroom. THANK you Jon Hummel, store manager, for helping my family in a time of need. Thank you for offering to stay over an hour past closing on the night before Thanksgiving to make sure my family wasn't scrambling to find a rental car and ride to the airport. Thank you Brian and Ashley for staying late to repair our vehicle, and work with the extended warranty company to ensure our claim would not go unpaid. After we pulled into the parking lot, Jon immediately recognized the severity of the situation for us, and told us he would not leave us stranded without a truck that night. He immediately took steps to secure parts, get them delivered and put my truck on a lift knowing it wouldn't be finished until well after official closing time. Both Ashley and Brian agreed to stay late as well to help get the job done as quickly, but safely as possible. Approaching 8pm, the truck was finished - and to my surprise Jon wanted to be certain the Truck drove as it should, and took his time testing it as he drove around the block. Putting an exclamation point on his excellent customer service, Jon and Ashley worked with my Extended Warranty company as they were performing the repair to ensure the claim was properly processed for the failed components...unbelievable! I know a lot of reviews go from 5 star to 1 in a moment where some small thing like taking too long on a repair can upset a Customer. I'm reviewing because I have had two positive experiences here. First, I had a nail in my tire and they put on my spare free of charge because I had to wait for a little bit, even after I told them I had a warranty on the tire elsewhere and didnt buy tires from them. Today I came in an hour before close asking for an oil change without an appt and they fit me in, even though most of the employees had gone for the weekend. Well, apparently their appointment setting process doesn't work... so it works, they will take your appointment time, but they do not adhere to it! I'm here at 10:30 for my 10:30 appointment but now it's 10:45 and they haven't got the car that is on the alignment rack down, so they can start my alignment. As I write this review, and as the minutes slowly pass by, this time gives me an opportunity to work on this review. Maybe I will be able to start a blog on lousy customer service. Got a flat tire this morning. Later when my car pressure read 0, I was lucky to be right by this location so I took it in so they could look at it. They found a piece of metal in the tire immediately. I was hoping they could patch the tire, but no such luck. They reccomened to replace the two back tires and I did. It took them 2 1/2 to do everything start to finish, when they quoted around 1 1/2, besides a slow checkout I didn't have any complaints. Two experiences here both TERRIBLE my 69-year-old sister I sent to have a flat fixed was charged $39.00 I had a fit called corporate and they took the charge off Kudos to them as far as Brandon goes when I ask him about it his response was she signed the work order, so I guess that makes it ok to ripoff Senior Citizens! All was well for the longest time. Unfortunately I sent my wife in and they gave her a quote at $1300+ on a job that we were able to get done for $500 down the road. Bummed but glad I listened to her and checked elsewhere. Saved $800. Literally. Despite my better judgement, I came back for an oil change. As is typical since Mike left, I set an appt and had a lengthy discussion about my car, whether it was or was not a certain model, etc. I show up at my appointment to find out that they don't have my filter and now I get to wait around while they get one. Why waste my time giving you the information to avoid this, if I end up in the same situation anyway? The oil filter arrived in a somewhat reasonable amount of time only to discover, 40 minutes later, that it was the wrong one. I have been coming here for 10 years, various company and personal vehicles during this time, all levels of service. I think it's reasonable to expect you are ready to go during my appointment time. I think it's time for a new provider. My specialist, Kevin, did a good job but he can't overcome the people around him. My patience with this place has worn thin. They stay in business because we are too lazy to go to other locations. Shame on us. read more

Two good reasons to indicate this is a rotten and corrupt store: (1) They FLAT OUT LIED when we came back to pick up the car after leaving it for an hour and a half saying the "glue was drying on the patch" and that the car would be ready in 15 or 20 minutes. These guys!! I trust no one else with my car. The guys upfront are friendly, upfront in a polite way and won't try to rip you off. Unlike other places I have been too, I really feel they care about you and the safety of your vehicle when consulting possible needs. I have a personal favorite named Tonka whom is the only one I have work on my car for no reason other than he's been working on it ever since I got it even just for routine maintenance as well as every vehicle I have owned. He's just my guy. I trust this location, all of the staff inside the ac area and the ones working hard on the outside in the heat as well as their recommendations 100%. I will never go else where!! Another neighbor complaint: Tires Plus in Ponte Vedra Beach Hey, so I took my car in to Tires Plus because there was squeaking when I hit the breaks and my tire pressure light was on. Got a call that I needed brakes, struts, Air filter, Roters and wiper blades. He started giving me the price of each item. I told him not to do the work as I wanted to get a second opinion. Went to pick up the car the next day and all the wheels were off and they proceeded to show me the damage, etc. I said I still want to get a second opinion. They put it back together and I took the car over to Tire Kingdom. Guess what? Brakes were just fine and the car needed nothing. Saved myself probably at least $500. I will never go to Tires Plus again. Too bad, they got a lot of business from my family with 5+ drivers. read more

Just got my oil changed. I received a car inspection report stating that they had checked my tires and filled all my fluids. I got home and checked my tires. They had 27lbs of air. Obviously they had not been checked. I also had to add a gallon of washer fluid. Supposedly all had been checked, obviously they had not. This is not the first time this has happened. I took my car in for an oil change on 31 Jul 19 and after it brock down and I towed it back to this location on 3 Aug 19 I got a call and the guy said their were metal shavings in the engine and it was totaled. He offered me a new engine for $8000 but said probably not cost effective since the care was only worth $6000. And that was it. I could not believe it. The car ran fine, never had an issue with knowing about metal shavings. I now have to buy another car. I am still in shock and wish I could get a lawyer. read more
