    Paprika chicken
    Elizabeth F.

We made resys months ago, excited for an Austrian-Hungarian concept. We arrived and were greeted. We were sat upstairs by the railing, which have an interesting view of the downstairs. Service was kind and friendly, though not particularly attentive. We weren't checked on as the courses came out. Food wise: - Cheese dumplings: It was flattened and fried, not what I had expected. The burnt taste overpowered the dumplings. - Potato salad: Good but wasn't served warm as traditionally done - Pickles: Carrots and beets were nicely done. I found the potato a bit overpowering - Radish: Good flavor, fresh radish - Paprika chicken: Glad it was two pieces, making sharing easy. There wasn't much spatzle and our chicken was a bit cold. It had been sitting for a while before it made it to our table. Overall, it has promise. Maybe working through a few things or an off night. Curious to try again to see if it is better.

Titusz is a new Austrian and Hungarian restaurant in Lawrenceville and we had to try every single food item they offer! It's where the old Merchant Oyster Company used to be and there's a small bar, some tables on the ground floor, and some other tables on the mezzanine. They only take reservations for up to groups of 6. What you need to do after you snag that coveted reservation is to get three friends to come with you and also order everything because you'll want to try it all!  We enjoyed their well balanced and unique cocktails and tried almost all of them. All our food items were so flavorful and it's hard to pick favorites but I would have to say the fried potato bread, dumplings, soup, chicken, and sorbet were my top picks! Pro tip: pay the $4 for the second order of their delicious bread and use it to soak up the sauces from your entrees.

This restaurant is a nice addition to Lawrenceville. The Erdapfelsalat (Austrian potato salad) was perfect but the Beer Bratwurst needed something to make it a go-to. Downstairs is a bit crowded and noisy. Will try for balcony reservations next time.

A welcome addition to Lawrenceville! Hungarian fine-dining with lovely seasonally inspired Eastern European fare, with a balanced menu containing plenty of vegetarian options. The restaurant space is open, with soaring ceilings that give the small space a less claustrophobic feel than most similarly sized Pittsburgh restaurants. The service was excellent here, though we had an early 5pm reservation. And they are surprisingly kid friendly!

What a great addition to Lawrenceville! Titusz brings a unique Austrian and Hungarian concept to the burgh. Plus the space is bright, airy, and beautifully designed with two levels of seating. The cocktail and wine list was impressive, with fun NA options. I tried the NA dill dairy drink which was super light and refreshing. We started with house bread, then tried the kaspressknödel (cheese dumplings) and langos (fried potato bread and tangy cheese topfen). The langos was a standout, though I wish the dumplings came with more pieces. For mains, the stuffed cabbage (with rice and mushrooms) and roasted duck leg were both amazing. The duck leg was our favorite because of the sweet and tart apricot reisling reduction that made me want more and more with each bite!! We finished with the rich chocolate chestnut cake (Titusz torte). They were also very accommodating to my toddler, and the staff were incredibly kind. Can't wait to come back for more!!

Wow! This place has easily became one of my top 10's in Pittsburgh. This Austrian/Hungarian concept is an awesome addition to Lawrenceville. We were able to snag a reservation when it first opened. From the start of dinner everything was great. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was incredible. Very lovely dishes and different flavors than I've had a lot. The dishes are simple, yet elevated and exploding with flavor. Some of my favorites were the Kaspressknödel, Liptauer, Csirke Paprikás, Walleye and Violet Sorbet. The cocktails featured tons of Austrian/Hungarian liqueurs and flavors that went perfect with our meal. I can't wait to see this place thrive! The overall vibe was cozy and relaxed.

We absolutely loved this place! The kitchen nailed every plate -- from the Kaspressknödel (which Tyler rightly steered us toward pairing with the Pickles over the Salat and Sorrel Soup) to the Walleye, which had a phenomenal sear. Bobby and Abby out front were genuinely warm, welcoming, and accommodating; they made sure we were comfortable and taken care of all night. The interior refresh is absolutely stunning. A fantastic opening, and we can't wait to go back!

We sat outside, which was first come first serve. It took awhile for anyone to approach us but I was in the restaurant industry for some time so I surely realize it happens for many reasons ! My friend ordered two speciality drinks which we were then told they didn't have the ingredients to make those cocktails...Okay - it happens no problem . We then ordered food from the brunch menu ( also out of the first item we asked for , there are only about 6-7 items on that limited menu). We asked if the regular menu would be available that day and we were told "no not on Sunday's." We proceeded to order and consume the hot honey chicken and waffles( good but not much of a hot honey taste and be aware it's BONE IN chicken), French toast with berries ( delicious ), and the shrimp and grits (made to perfection). I ordered the Texas medicine beverage , which was exquisite! (Tequila cocktail, Pictured). We also had the Petal and Pearl , gin and procecco cocktail ,not pictured but very good as well. After we ate, we moved to the bar to grab one last beverage. Again, it took quite some time for someone to approach us, which was odd because many of the girls were making eye contact but walking by us. Finally a gentleman with curly hair came over to take our orders - thank you. We noticed people at the bar were eating wings and food that was not listed on the brunch menu. When I asked how they ordered that, they said the regular menu starts at 3 on Sundays! We were extremely disappointed our original server did not tell us this nor was enlightened that the menu was released at a later time on Sundays. Concerning. It was nice to sit on a roof top in Pittsburgh on a sunny day. They have the atmosphere done with perfection. The food seemed delectable and the beverages done with beautiful presentations. I really hope to give this place another chance and revise my review !

The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. The drinks are definitely crafted with care and have a lot of complexity, but with only two bartenders working, it took quite a while to get ours. Not the place to go if you want quick service or are grabbing a drink before another event. My biggest downside is the price point--most cocktails are around $17. They're good, but at that price I can really only justify having one. Note: They do not have food, just snacks like peanuts. Overall, amazing ambiance and well-made drinks, just expect slower service and a higher bill.

Very impressed by their craftsmanship and experimental flavors. There's not many places in this area that even attempt to do that. I love the speakeasy vibe. Cocktails were made surprisingly quick even on a busy night. Everything is just really great about this place. Except for maybe the price lol but at least you're getting what you pay for in a good way

The dirty martini was fairly pungent and strong so not sure I would get it again but I'm also not big on dirty martinis so probably just the wrong choice on my part. But the food was the star of the show. We ate so many good dishes- starting with the rainbow platter. Loved the baba ghanoush and the roasted cauliflower - those were my favorite of the 7 dishes on the platter. We also ordered the labneh, hummus with chicken and lamb shawarma, and the kafta kebabs (rolled up in some sort of tortilla) which were all fantastic! If we come back (which we will) I would just order the baba ghanoush instead of the rainbow platter, all the other dishes we ordered, and maybe one additional plate. I felt like I didn't really need the Israeli salad (tomato and cucumber) or the pickled cauliflower and radish that came on the rainbow platter. The hummus was SO soft and fluffy. This was some of the best food we've had in Pittsburgh. After having lived in a Philly for 4 years, we know good mediterranean/lebanese food and I'd be surprised if you can find better in Pittsburgh. Service was also very good.
