BUT before that, I received a text from the store manager Mari that due to a glitch in their system, my order had just gone through on May 18th. She assured me the issue was remedied and my order would ship out the next day. When my order had not shipped by the end of the week, I emailed her directly. She replied this past Monday, saying the person responsible for shipping orders abruptly left. She again assured me my order would ship the next day. It did not, and I contacted her via text, asking her to cancel my order. Without a response directly from her, I got an automated email today that said my order was refunded because the item is now out of stock. I waited almost three weeks for my order to ship and then it got canceled, not because I requested it, but because the tote bag was out of stock. They didn't set aside one to ship to me when it was available once my order actually populated a week later. The locals seem to love this store but I'm not a local and if I were in charge, this is not the experience I'd want a customer to have or the impression I'd want to make.

Even after I returned the item (which they accepted), they refused to issue a full refund -- withholding shipping costs and trying to charge a restocking fee for a product that was defective from the start. Their attitude throughout was arrogant, dismissive, and unprofessional -- treating a valid customer concern like an inconvenience. I've since filed a BBB complaint and a dispute with Affirm. Located right on the belt line this storefront is adjacent to many other stores, bars and restaurants. This truly made it very convenient to locate. The building itself is gorgeous and reminded me of a modern cabin on the outside. There was a lot of great Patagonia merch from hats to bags and heavy outer wear. There were so many things I had my eye on but I had to limit myself since I knew I had no additional room in my luggage lol. The store team members were also helpful and very knowledgeable. They advised us and gave us great recommendations on hiking gear for our upcoming hiking trip.
