Shopped today 4/16/26. Check out line was about 6 customers deep with two employees working the register. It was very very slow moving. So slow, that I had to leave the line, ditch my cart full of $100+ of items and walk out in order to be somewhere else on time. I was able to come back later and found my ditched cart still there. I reentered the line and was next customer to pay with one employee working the registered. While I was waiting for someone in front of me making a lengthy return, 7 customers piled up behind me. Coco C. (The coordinator) made eye contact with me and saw me waiting to be rung up. May of us in line were commenting how slow the check out process was as Coco organized shopping carts while a long line formed. 8 customers in line, one active register, and employees who are free to ring people up. In a world where Amazon is king, and online shopping is convenient, why would I waste my time shopping at stores like TJmaxx when the service is horrific. This TJmaxx is losing sales in just its check out process alone. read more

I only allow myself a handful of trips to TJ Maxx a year. The deals are fantastic, but can take a little effort to look through things. Today, without the littles, I spent a good amount of time in the sore and walked away with some good finds. This location is clean and pretty organized. Lots of purses and luggage at this spot. Good finds in the beauty section. A few more racks of children's clothes than some locations. Today they had a lot of what looked like newly marked down clearance items in the women's section. Score! Be patient and remember this is a discount store and with some luck, you'll find some good deals. read more

I can only give my MAN-POV (point of view).  Drum roll:  Hell, YES.  It's the best discount store in the area. For TJ Maxx, I'm really interested in 3 departments of things: food, kitchen & cooking items, and home decor items.  Occasionally, hair & soap items, men's clothing, men's shoes, men's cologne, jewelry (watches), and luggage. In all categories, TJ Maxx is a great store to try. The prices are absurd for items, often 33-50% off retail. More positive things to say about this location: ==================================== 1.  Brand new store. 2. Very clean. 3. Well-organized. 4.  Even with the pandemic, good selection of things. 5.  Big parking lot with all the free parking you can handle, shared with Target and Home Depot. read more

The lady working on 01/02/24 at around 8:30 pm in the fitting rooms is THE SWEETEST. greets you with a smile and actually has a conversation with you. it's refreshing. the guy working at the front I think his name was Kevin, did not even say hello or ready for the next person. He just gave me a look to signal he wanted me to come. Maybe he was having a bad day but his energy wasn't welcoming. I don't even think he said one word or looked at me... He could have been having a bad day but at least fake some happiness around a customer lol.. another reason of only have 3 stars is because the shoe section is very limited and all the shoes are unorganized. Some of them dont even have the size! its like all the shoes stop at 8.5 I could not find anything bigger than that! Very frustrating. I had to walk over to target because I was just in a desperate need of some sneakers. I noticed this TJ Max doesn't have a variety of selection for larger clothing either. the section for larger clothing and shoes is very limited. read more

I returned some items to the Newbury Park store that I had bought the day before at the Westlake Village location. The cashier was a "Coordinator" who made a snide comment about how I have returned things from the Westlake store to their store before. Then she called over Fiona who is the store manager who proceeded to tell me that she would let me return what I brought to return there today, but I would have to return the things I bought at the Westlake Village location back to that store from now on because they don't carry them at Newbury Park. These items had purple tags on them and there is clothing with purple tags at their Newbury Park store too! I told her that but she was adamant in her stance and embarrassed me further with her comments at the checkout. I told her I was going to Camarillo today so was going by their store and had no reason to go back to Westlake Village. I have spent a lot of money there and would have shopped there after my return. I said I would be contacting the district manager to complain and she did not care nor did she try to make the situation better. I believe (from overhearing them complain loudly so I could hear them before) that the returns to their store go against their sales so it's clear that is really why they want me to return things to Westlake. That is not my problem, nor should it be. This way of dealing with their customers should be changed and I should not be humiliated at the checkout!! read more

Good selection but POOR management and policies that are not customer friendly or in alignment with consumer law. I like the layout of this store and they tend to have a good selection but I hate giving them my business because they don't deserve it. They are not at all skilled in customer service except for one manager - a guy with long girly hair who is the ONLY person here who cares about the customer. They also have gotten a lot of flack in the community for not properly addressing an assault here. Poor business practices! read more

So happy they opening up tj mxx here next to target but Very disappointed first time visiting after they've opened two months now I went around the store twice went through all the racks really hoping to buy something but there isn't anything to buy ! Needs new management and proper hires. Today I went in to complete a return. I purchased 14k gold jewelry online. I waited nearly 2 weeks for delivery. To my dismay when I opened the package today I was shocked at how cheap it felt and looked. I immediately looked for the 14kt gold stamping thinking maybe it was an error. The stamp was there but I still did not feel comfortable keeping a piece that felt like cheap costume jewelry. The sales associate looked at the piece quickly and called management for approval. They both looked at the piece and insisted it was not gold and I couldn't return it. I assured them it was an online order I received today, provided online receipts, showed matching skews, and showed her where to look for the stamping. She said it felt cheap and light weight for what I paid. Gold comes in all weights and fills. They need to either hire someone that knows what they're doing or not accept these types of returns and insist customers to send back via mail. I did not appreciate the attitude or being brushed off immediately and told that the return couldn't be accepted when in fact it most certainly could. They eventually got a magnifying glass and agreed it was acceptable for return and everything checked out. Accusations are not a good look. Perhaps staff needs to be trained better for "pieces of this nature". At the end of the day the piece did seem cheap which was my reason for the return so I can see how they might pass judgement...but an apology would've gone along way. I'm glad to have saved time on what would've been a long return process by returning in mail since TJ Maxx is a big archaic when it comes to that. I surely learned my lesson. No more online jewelry purchases as the site photos are highly enhanced and unfortunately the managers/associates don't seem to have knowledge in jewelry sales. read more

Great selection, store is clean and things are organized however the service is awful. Went in for a simple return and purchase with no line which wound up taking an exorbitant amount of time. Be prepared to wait and make sure you have no where important to go. read more

I bought A wok there last week. I used it twice with wooden spoons and washed it with nylon brushes. I noticed 2 chips in the Teflon on the bottom of the wok. I brought it back to exchange it not a refund...but.....I couldn't find the receipt.. I did however had the purchase on my bank statement ... they weren't helpful at all and the manager Ann refused to even entertain my request for the exchange....customer service was lacking...
