I cannot pass up stopping by a TJ Maxx when I see one wherever I may be. Weirdest part is that I usually find better things at locations out of town. This time I found two pieces that I had to buy. A Jack and Sally cookie jar and a Chucky mug. I love all things horror and I really love A Nightmare Before Christmas. This TJ Maxx is still my favorite location. The manager is always on top of making sure the store is clean, organized, and that shelves are stocked. I believe he's been there for a while now. The staff are very helpful and always in a good mood. The woman at the jewelry area is always quick to assist. I've found really nice, expensive clothing brands for excellent prices. The downside is that now I'm hooked on expensive brand names, so I'm always on the hunt for those brands when I stop to shop here. read more

IF I COULD GIVE IT NO STAR I WOULD! They are unprofessional and rude! Trying to return an item in which THEY mislabeled was a nightmare. They did not follow protocol to look up the credit history to view that this was purchased there and they MISLABELED their own tag and accused me of not buying it from them. There are cameras everywhere and I clearly bought the item from them and after they looked up the credit history they knew it was their mistake but never apologized and made it look like the unfitted manager that it was our fault. If you ever purchase from there, apparently you are to ask the register to double check the tag against their system to ensure it rings up correctly. Since when is this a customers job to do their job? Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere to shop. The manager was extremely rude and seriously is making TJ MAXX look really bad. The staff is extremely unprofessional especially the mangers Jen and an older white woman I believe by the name of Karie. Her and the other older woman's tone and behavior made me feel uncomfortable. I love tjmax but this location I would never be coming back to. I was treated very poorly and was left standing there by the register and had to ask another employee for help to finish my transaction. As a customer, I expected to be treated respectfully and to receive normal service, regardless of the situation given the fact that I remained calm, respectful and cooperative I was left unheard and unseen. One of the best locations that I've been to! The store is super stocked and seems to have almost everything that I saw on social media! I was able to find the EXACT products that I was looking for which is usually impossible since many of the items are random. The parking lot is fairly big since its in a shopping plaza. The prices are very affordable and the items are actually super cute. My cashier was also very polite and I had a pleasant shopping experience overall. The only downside that I noticed was that there is a serious lack of MIRRORS. Any time that I wanted to quickly try on a hat or a pair of earrings, there never seemed to be a mirror nearby. I would have to walk over to the clothing racks to see my reflection. Other than that, highly recommend stopping by! read more

I am an avid TJmaxx shopper. But this TJmaxx staff is way below average. Their attitudes are always horrible and they always question you and your purchases/returns. I've worked retail for over 15 years and some of these cashiers I just don't understand their way of going about things. I came in today to return a $10 umbrella that I bought last night. I opened it when I got home and did not like the quality. When presented to the cashier with the tag on and receipt in hand I was told that I am missing a piece of the umbrella (an umbrella cover) I explained it did not come with a cover and they have plenty of umbrellas without the covers and so many different styles of umbrellas. They took my return/exchange but the cashier was so rude. I had other items I was exchanging the $10 umbrella for and wanted to use a gift card to pay the $35 difference. As I'm digging in my purse for the card the cashier snaps at me and says "Well I need the gift card" my response was "Well let me get it" so rude so unprofessional. This is not my first run in with an employee at this location. I am so nice to service workers trust me I understand how demanding the job is and the different type of people they encounter a day. But I would much rather get on the freeway to visit another location than to come back to this one. read more

It was sensory overload upon entering this store. I was warmly greeted and given a cart. There was so much on display. I couldn't stay long since babysitting duties were calling but I took a cursory glance at the plethora of items for sale. They had some of the cutest Christmas decorations. I purchased some of their shopping bags that were 99 cents a piece; there was quite a selection of nice graphics. I opted for 3 Christmas themed bags, which are perfect for some throws I purchased as gifts. I bought some stocking stuffers and made mental notes of merchandise I needed to purchase upon my return when I can shop at my leisure. The sales lady at the cash register was very friendly and convinced me to apply for their credit card for an extra 10% off. Why am I such a sucker? Surprisingly, I was approved. Since my purchase was small this visit I opted to use the discount the next time when I have a huge purchase (there were some tables & shelves I was eyeing!). It's clear to see why this store has majority 1 star ratings. as soon as i walk into this store i feel people staring at me and have caught employees/managers giving me dirty looks. i'm mad because i actually love this store but the people working here make me so uncomfortable and always give me problems for no reason. like today they're acting like im a damn criminal and won't let me use a picture of my ID for a stupid gift card & making me use my bank account. like is it really that serious!!! yall are TJ MAXX not too fkn much! like as if i stole the gift card when i know damn well the manager remembers me from when i returned the merchandise and got the gift card in the first place, because she gave me such a hard time and had me in the store for 30 minutes trying to return one item. the only reason i came back was because i had the gift card which they refused to accept. oh well, maybe she doesn't remember me because she gives everybody a hard time and acts like letting me use the gift card SHE issued to me is coming out of her paycheck. Go to the other location in Murrieta or anywhere else, shoot the one in Inglewood is probably more friendly than this sorry excuse for a store. side note; not everyone there is bad, i met a close friend who was working there about a year ago, although she no longer works there. but management has always been terrible since i moved & started coming to this store in oct '23. there was an older gentlemen who was a manager when i first moved here, not sure if he still works there, who was equally terrible at customer service and treated me like the scum of the earth when i encountered him. come on in if you enjoy being treated like a hardened criminal for no reason at all! ... i'm starting to think they just don't like ethnic ppl. read more

This place is dangerous on your wallet, you get sucked into all the cute home decor for every room, especially during the holidays. BUT, I can guarantee that you can find just as cute stuff for a lot cheaper at like stores. Not just for home items, but for majority of the items here. I didn't buy anything because it was a sweet deal, I bought it because it was irresistibly adorable and I have FOMO. I have spent way too much here on the last visit, so much adorable Rae Dunn products and gnomes, I'm a sucker for a cute gnome. Also, bringing any little kid in here gives me severe anxiety with all the glassware and ceramic items that are stacked all over. Service is nice enough, I just don't like how they push their credit card so hard on you. read more

This location gets extremely packed especially on the weekends. Located right off the freeway it shares a lot with other retailers. Its organized iced but their inventory is not as good as other stores. They have tons of 3XL and 4XL items for men... I don't know anyone that uses those sizes but if you do and you're reading this - you can thank me later. They did have tons of toys but they were really old as they had Toys R Us labels on them... they've been out of business for a while now. Prices are reasonable and associates are hard working and friendly. I'll be back for sure if in the area. read more

Decent TJ Maxx. I like that it's in a very convenient location near other stores I go to. Also, sometimes there are some really great items, especially shirts and blouses. Some of the other departments leave a lot to be desired though. For example, the shoe selection is terrible! Also, there is always a strange clicking/buzzing sound coming from the ceiling in the shoe aisle. They need to get that fixed! They do have some great makeup and hair products in the clearance area, which makes it worth it. read more

Tis the season to go shopping! As an everyday shopper I understand retail workers have it hard, however I don't believe that gives them an excuse to be rude to customers. I was happily shopping until I had to rush to use the restroom. Went straight to the front (no line) so that my two items can be held. I was told no very rudely by the coordinator who had a short blonde bob haircut. Caught me off guard because I wasn't just going to leave my two items I picked out about. I didn't want to deal with her attitude so I quickly went to the dressing room where the attendant was so very nice and held my items until I came back. Now that was someone had wonderful customer service! Overall, I was done shopping and just didn't need that attitude from the other person up front. However, Lennie another coordinator who checked me out was fabulous as well! Made me feel better about my visit and she deserves 5 stars! read more

Consistenly an issue with tj Maxx. Poor placement of size stickers ruin a good shoe. The adhesive will not come off. and the sticker is so thin it only come off in small fragments. And what's left does not come off without damaging the sole. read more

We have been visiting this store a number of times for nearly a year and a half now and fortunate to say that we have yet to experience bad customer service. The parking lot is widespread, containing numerous spaces at any given time in the day. The place is clean and the staff members are friendly. I went to TJ Max yesterday March 16 to return bras that I purchased never worn , bought the day before all tags on , the manager Jeremy was standing there behind counter laughing at my return making comments about the bras ! I asked him " are you laughing making fun of me "? He was so rude unprofessional then he replied " I'm laughing with my co worker " then he started telling me off others customers at registers clearly heard what he said about me ! I will never be returning TJMAX again ! I reported his behavior to their corporate office and good that the store camera was right above us . I told him look above your head your inappropriate comments are being recorded ! He laughed again ! The cashier apologized 3 times to me and he was glaring at her ! This is by far the worst customer experience. The store manager Jeremy needs to learn how to be professional and none confrontational. I as the customer had to deescalate the situation. T.J.Maxx should reconsider this poor representation of their company. His behavior was unacceptable. He had a smirk on his face the whole time. He was watching me as if I was going to steal merchandise. Then claimed he was seeing if I needed help. He never once asked if I needed help. I had to tell him to finally stop talking to me because it seemed as if he wanted to argue. I don't shop at T.J.Maxx often but I have their credit card so I thought why not. I hadn't gone to Tjmaxx in forever until a friend told me they had cute stuff by house of Harlow, Jason wu, etc. so I was like cool. And I've been super hooked for like almost a year now. I did need a new wardrobe update so I bought a lot of items. They've had some really great finds and it feels great to get a wardrobe update , quality, and on a budget lol. I've never had any issues here and my family goes a lot. We like the contemporary brands and the jewelry section. Winter hasn't had the best stuff yet, but hopefully they'll get some more contemporary coming in January. It's hard to shop anywhere else because you can't beat the quality and price point. Hopefully they get more designer items in - I don't have time to drive to Tustin or Costa Mesa lol. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE My mom has been coming for years and never had a problem. She came in last week with family to do some shopping and she was there for a good 2 hours because everyone was taking their time looking at everything. My entire family started getting followed by workers, it would be the same workers always around my mom wherever she was in the store. She sat down by the fitting rooms and 3 ladies were watching my mom making sure the makeup she was going to purchase was still in her hand. It gets worse, she's waiting in line to purchase her things, the cashier calls the next person up, my mom goes up to her and she tells my mom "I'm sorry I can't check you out my manager wants to". She was so confused but I could tell what was going on here. They opened the suitcases my family was purchasing, looking through every crevice making sure we didn't steal anything. Absolutely ridiculous treating us like thieves!!!! I wasn't able to get the managers name but I can assure you it was a man. I have never had such an experience but I should've known based on the horrific reviews this place has already. So if you are a POC watch out because they'll have eyes on you and treat you like thieves while you try to shop in peace. read more

I'm a tjmaxx girl. Shop there all the time. Love the staff very helpful. Except this last visit hence the 4 stars instead of the 5 starts. Employee name is Lili assistant manager . She do not know how communicate professionally or just be nice for that matter. Even her staff were shock how she talked to me. Please please review how this employee behaves. Not organised , garments have holes and stains, staff that has zero knowledge to the system , long wait time as the staff are not well trained, managers are useless and rude and they keep implementing their own rules, refuse certain returns even if with receipts , not accepting e gift cards and reward cards and treating customers like thieves . I suggest if you have a bad experience, call corporate and tell them what happened to you at this store, looks like the store manager is having friends around him as assistants and all what they do is totally wrong and corporate just not aware of their actions. read more

Employees working at this location are more focused on treating customers like criminals, than they are at making any sales. That is why this location is one of the worst performing in the entire company. Sadly, as such, they have plenty of square footage to display product, but the majority of the space is unused, and the racks are mostly empty. By empty, I mean 6-8 inches of open space between each hanging garment. It almost looks like when a person has sold a condo, and left their unwanted items hanging in the closet as a final goodbye to the property manager. Sad and desperate, the bored employees stalk any person of color, or any white person with tattoos, while ignoring the grandma stuffing shirts into their baby stroller. This location did not used to be so terrible. Once upon a time, they actually had some good buys, and a few products that were not damaged. Unfortunately, this sordid harassment of customers is actually a company policy, as the new hires are told to "Make them aware of your presence", though, the actual application of this approach is left to the discretion of the employees, which at this location, is executed like a cartoonish depiction of inherent bigotry. Nevertheless, I do plan to return, only this time I will wear a puffy jacket and a backwards facing baseball cap, as to treat the entire thing like a stage play. read more
