TJ Maxx had slot of great brand at a decent price, if you're shipping for yourself. Yellow trash clearance, when it starts, is not really a good deal. You'd think since they are trying to get rid of stuff that is just sitting there they'd price is cheaper so it could go, not the case. Something else that bothered me about this particular location is I believe they have the manager at the front of the store getting people. Sooo I just had a very bad shopping experience... I was shopping for a sweater for my son and found a Nike sweater that would love to buy unfortunately it was a set and the pants were missing.. I had the employee in the kids department help look and we both couldn't find it so I went up to the cashier to pay and the manager IVY marqueses told me that she won't specifically sell me this sweater because the pants were missing (I felt like she thought I hid the pants? Why would I do that?).. she tells the worker next to her to never believe customers calls the girl from the children's dept confirms we looked for the pants and I asked to buy them with out the pants at full price and like I said "no to you specifically" she said me specifically and another employee even asked her why because she's seen her do that for other people so.... Here we are I'm very unsatisfied... I'm a single father and it's going to be cold this weekend I just wanted my boy to have a new sweater and this lady chose hate... just wanted to write my experience... everything is cleaner here than the TJ Maxx in rosemead. Really great management, but the only con is that they over clean so much that our cart actually got taken (when we left it in front of the aisle we were in to not take up space) and we ended up finding our items back where it belong. I might have caught an employer taking the cart out of the employer room which was were I called for help to find our cart. I yet again had some time to kill and was in the mood for some random browsing so this is where I ended up. I haven't been to TJ Maxx in a while and those commercials on TV made me want to do some purse shopping! So I can say that those commercials are indeed true and I was able to find a bunch of steals about half off from MSRP. My purchase of the day was a Kathy Van Zeeland purse originally $89 for $40. Yay! The place itself is usually clean but every time I'm there it tends to be busy so things start becoming a breed of disorganized and items are in disarray but if you have the patience to sort through things and lucky to find something that catches your fancy, it's worth it :). Well at least for me it is.... LOL This place definitely does not help my shopaholic tendencies and my obsession with purses. -_- read more

Compared to the other TJ Maxx's around the SoCal area, this one is probably one of the best I've been to in terms of selection, customer service and convenience. Selection- Overflowing with good deals! I like their jewelery section...lots of steals for a cheap price and their home furnishings section, I bought a beautiful paisley patterned ceramic pot and white ceramic serving trays. The Children's section is also pretty good...we found cute dresses and Carter's baby shirts for a cheap price. Customer Service- The people really know how to do their job right! The cashiers are extremely fast at transactions and are also friendly..definitely different from the other TJ Maxx's I've been to. Convenience- Located in a busy plaza with a Sally's Beauty store, Ten Ren's and Yogurtland, this TJ Maxx makes you want to go back for more! I also like how there is a huge parking lot so you don't have to kill someone over a parking space! I will definitely come back here for some more things! This is my new favorite TJ Maxx! read more

Calling all smart shoppers and bargain hunters. This T.J. Maxx was recently remodeled to accommodate your shopping needs! The store is overall very clean, organized, and has racks and shelves of goodies! During the holidays, I went into a Betsy Johnson boutique in Northern California and fell in love with the cutest, most girly handbag ever. It retailed for $68 which I thought wasn't too bad for Betsy. Once Christmas was over, I went to T.J. Maxx to spend my Christmas moo-la on things on my wish list I did not end up getting. To my surprise, I found that exact same Betsy Johnson handbag at the purse section. The best part is it was only $30! That is less than half of its retail value! What a find! They also have a wonderful shoe section! Be sure to check that out. Amongst my finds were a BB Dakota black cardigan that had diamond buttons and pleated pockets, Ed Hardy tee, Lancome make-up, and a Betsy Johnson laptop bag! I was just in the store with my two children and dog. I came to buy decor for our new house and return shoes. While I found nothing, I decided to return the shoes. I did t have a receipt but had original payment method. I've worked retail my whole life so I know a look up with payment method is possible. The woman and register 8, told me they were unable to look up my transaction because the system was (too old). Now, knowing that they take Apple Pay it couldn't be that old. I was judged based on my race and how we were dressed. I didn't make a fuss as my children and I we're cranky already. I just know she assumed based on the response she gave she thought I either stole the shoes or something of that nature. I am absolutely disgusted and pissed. I didn't ask for the money in cash. I wanted it returned to my original payment my debit card. I will not shop here again and will let all my black friends know not to as well. read more

TJMaxx is my go to store. I shop here a lot. Today i was treated so rudely by the lady at the dressing room area. She was not there when i finished trying on the clothes so i proceeded to hang the clothes back on the racks and return the plastic card that shows how many items you took in. She came back and said that i couldnt do that. Then she grabbed the clothes from me. She told me never mind, theres a security camera anyways. I was dumb founded. Was she accusing me of stealing? I was so stunned that i didnt say anything to her. But i didnt do anything wrong. She had very poor customer service and was just plain rude. Ugh! read more

With it's recent remodeling, TJ Maxx now feels like a store I'm not ashamed of walking into. It's filled with great deals, some hidden jewels that you'll really have to dig for. The store really needs to be more organized and have more men items like shoes. Other than that, it's a great place to find big name brands at discounted prices. read more

I would always take the extra trip to come out here instead of going to the Ross or Marshalls in the Rowland Heights/Covina/West Covina areas which is close to where I live. This place is well stocked with merchandise and lives up to its name as an off-price department store. The Ross and Marshalls store in the areas I mentioned sucks. Every time I go in whether to buy something or just to kill time I never come out with anything because there's nothing. Okay. The stores aren't empty, but so many people go to those stores that all the good merchandise are gone by the time anybody goes there. It probably also helps that this store is located in Walnut, a more affluent area. Because of the aforementioned reason, I take that extra 10-15 minute trip to come out to this location. Almost every section is well stocked and at affordable prices. I probably spend 5-10 minutes in those other stores, but here I can easily spend an hour just perusing through random things. read more

One of the newer TJ MAXX I've been to, store was clean and tidy. Fair amount of women's clothes and handbag's usually have a better selection in bags but this time around the stock was low. This TJ Maxx has a great selection of home goods and furniture at great price. They had 4-5 cashiers so the line was very quick and cashier was peasant. Plenty of parking. Extremely rude and annoying old Philipino woman name Levy working at the kids area. Always telling kids that they can't touch the toys or the books unless they are buying it. Got into an argument with her today and she told me that my kids can't flip through the books unless parents are paying for it. It is clearly overboard. For the 3rd time I spoke to a manager in 12 months, this time an Asian lady name Nanette. Nanette was courteous but didn't attend to it right away until I went back again because of what Levy told me. This is a very bad feeling as a customer. You guys need to be careful when you make a credit card in this location. Whatever type of credit card you choose, you will get a master credit card. And the clerk will lie to you there is no option here, and say you will get either reward card or Mastercard randomly. Even though you complain to you, they don't apologize to you. This is one of my favorite TJ Maxx's in all of Southern California, however recently I went there and was treated in kind of an odd/rude manner by the African American cashier at the front. He was just really awkward and rude. Management, please look into this and speak with your worker(s). You should know what to do. I hope that I get better service when I go back next time. read more

Today, I came to shopping, but ends up with the worst mood for the whole year. If I can I won't leave any star for the store. Today I choose a trousers in this store to try it on. While I was pulling it, I felt a sharp pain at back of my leg. When I search for the cause, I find a nail pined inside the pocket! Fortunately I didn't pull it all the way up, thus only a scratch without blood left on my leg. This scratch is still causing pain right now! This injury was not the reason why do I leave this bad comment, the main reason is, when I took the nail and the trousers to the server, and tell her, politely, to watch out don't let this thing happens to other people, especially to the kids. Her attitude was horrible!!! NO sign for any apologetic thinking, Nor any assurance that this kind of thing won't happens again!!! For the first time ever I have had a horrible experience here. First the two lady's at jewlrey were arguing loudly with one another while I was waiting to be helped. Then I put sunglasses on hold and not even 10 minutes later when I come back the lady tells me she just sold them to someone else?!?!?? HOW?! If you put them behind the counter for me and said they would be on hold? Then I go to the register and the lady ringing me up with a black mask wont stop coughing. Came to buy some gifts and other goodies- after I was done getting everything I needed, went to the fitting room, left my cart with all my items and even asked the lady if it was ok to leave it on the corner so nobody would take it or obstruct the walking way- came out to find out that another employee had removed the cart, and the lady at the fitting room didn't say anything "oh that's somebody's cart- she's trying on clothes" I asked where do they take the carts? I've been here a few times. I actually go here probably twice a week when I get bored. They have great deals and everything, but that's the store itself. So I'm not here to talk about the store and it's merchandise rather the workers and the environment. The workers, more than half, are very rude. They can't even say a simple "you're welcome" when I say thank you. Not even a "have a nice day" or "thank you for shopping here." The overall look of the place is not that appealing. The restroom, well lets just say, I'll hold my pee. The clothes also, are always scattered around and never arranged by size. My mom hates going here because it's so unorganized. Like other discount stores, this one is hit and miss. Since I hit more than I miss here, I'm rating it 4 stars. It's a lot cleaner and more organized than Ross, but slightly higher priced in the items I usually search for: electronic gadgets and golf clothes. I don't always find killer deals and YMMV depending on what you're looking for, but it sure beats paying full price anywhere else. Well Tjmaxx had miss price a north face vest jacket at $16.99 . It also had the sensor attached to the price tag to the item. We tried to purchase the store refused to sell it to me for the price , the wanted to charge me $59.99 instead. But would only give a $5.00 discount off the regular price, than honor the ticketed price on the item. They don't care about the customer, they only honor themselves. We like this place! My wife and I have found many good deals at this TJ Maxx. We have run into many friends! We also ran into our married female friend with her boyfriend hugging and kissing here while the husband is making money and working hard on his girlfriend in China! Nice selection of discounted items. I found some Rock and Republic, Joe's, and Lucky Brand jeans here. I really wanted the Rock and Republic jeans but they did not fit, and were totally out of my price range. I really liked the selection of high end purses. I came here once when the plaza just opened and bought a pair of Nike board shorts, probably cost $12-$15. Went shopping the next day with the family at Brea Mall and lo and behold, the same board shorts were on the racks in the current area being sold at full price for $30-$40! No joke! Bought a beautiful 12 month old baby dress but it shrinked to 3 after washed it the next day, it couldn't fit on my 6 month old daughter! So I went to return on the third day from purchase and the store manager told me they have a policy that washed cloth could not be returned. Then you should state that you are selling a NONE WASHABLE CLOTH OR IT MAY SHRINK so I would have my judgement before I grab them! They finally refund me but still warned me no more returns next time.... A big store like TJ MAXX should stand behind it's product, I am disappointed. read more
