I sometimes go to TJ maxx since i live in the area and it's always an ok experience, nothing that really warrants a yelp review. But my most recent visit was definitely a lot better than the rest and thanks to the cashier Ryan Martinez. He acted like an actual human and made sure I found what I came to buy. I have been to many TJ Maxx's and this TJ Maxx is one of the best. They have a wide variety of shoes and purses. During the holiday sales I saw a giftset of Daisy by Marc Jacobs, which is usually priced at a hundred bucks and it was there for $60. If i had more disposable money I would buy everything in that store! On the downside, customers tend to destroy or steal parts of the namebrand items, such as steal the smaller perfumes or lotions that are apart of a gift set. read more

Lovely store but the store does not stand by their products quality...or lack of. My sandal broke after ONE use, I get it, it was used but it didn't hold up to what it should've. Manager didn't want to refund or give store credit because it was used and she couldn't place it back in the store. I asked why would she want to place something back that's broken and she smiled and shrugged....good job hiring managers TJMaxx. read more

I found some really nice things in this TJ Maxx, and their prices are very reasonable.

Most of the time people provide reviews when they are really satisfied or really unsatisfied. No different here and unfortunately, TJ MAXX failed us today. Found an item in the clearance section marked down with their red tag label. At check out, the cashier right away took the item and checked with the Manager. Apparently, they marked the item incorrectly and instead of honoring the labeled price, they took the label off the product instead. After over hearing "what do i tell him?", the cashier started to walk back over to me. The cashier didnt really get a chance to tell me what the regular price was since he walked up while he was removing the clearance label and made a face as he commented "actually......" in dissapointment i finished his sentence for him and had to go on my way. Good luck ever trying to return or exchange anything here because they have the strictest return policy of any T.J. Maxx I have ever shopped at! I had the receipt, tag, and everything for my return tonight, But the white male manager with the glasses working at around 6 PM tonight was extremely strict and would not accept my return even for store credit. On top of that he also gave me attitude. I went to another T.J. Maxx location in Chino immediately after and they accepted my return with no issues and no attitude problems! So what does that tell you? I have spent so much money at the TJ Maxx walnut location and because of the rude management and extremely strict return policy, I will never even drop a dime at this location ever again! read more

Come here whenever I get the chance to look through their sale and clearance items. It's quite a mess here but if you spend enough time looking through everything you can always have a good find. I usually shop here for myself and any guy friends I need to buy gifts for since they have decent brands. There weren't too many people working there that asked how I was doing but it's pretty much the norm to not see staff that often. Gave this place 4 stars since the deals are worth rummaging around for! If you want a bargain and have time to kill I definitely recommend checking this place out. It's located in The Village plaza by L&L and Starbucks. Usually isn't that crowded so no need for me to recommend a time for you to go. I was seriously surprised at how great this store is. It is neat and clean and there are a lot of employees working to keep the shelves organized. Do not go shopping at this tj maxx,unless you want their rude and unfriendly staffs ruin your day. One time I went to restroom with my baby on the shopping carte,and the carte was empty.A female staff went by and told me I can not go to restroom with shopping carte.I told her my baby was on the carte that's why I have to go with it.And you know what?The lady just turned her eyes to me and left with very unpleasant face .Another time my baby put one ball on the ground another female staff went by and told me to be careful about the ball on the ground.Because if I do not clean up then she has to.I have to sayI am the mom who always clean up after my baby outside. I am only commenting on the customer service, not the store. I literally could own a black tj maxx credit card for how much I spend in this store every week, especially decorating a home. I literally buy most Christmas, baby shower, anniversary, birthday, and most holiday presents. I bought a rug and when I got home I realized it was extremely dirty and not white like it had looked in the store. I have never had a problem making a return to Tj maxx, except this one. First of all the clerks are extremely and painfully slow, non methodical in their bagging skills, and just plain rude. I asked the clerk how she was and she replied, "in 10 minutes when I am off I will be way better" (hmmm so you hate your job and when your done ringing me up your going to go on craigslist and wish you had another minimum wage job? cool, Im fine today too thanks). When I went to return the rug the clerk got the manager and she came over to look at the rug, she asked me why it wasnt white. (gee, I dont know you tell me you sold it like that). I told her exactly that when I got home it was not white and black but rather grey and black. She kept inspecting it and said it had a funky smell to it. ( She was lucky that it takes more than a dress tucked into underwear to embarrass me). She raised her voice and asked me about 3 or 4 more times if I knew what the smell was. I was so angry that I asked if she was going to return it or not. She replied "I guess, but I cant put this back on the floor". This entire staff needs to be retrained on customer service. It was beyond rude that she tried to blame the color or the smell on me. I will NEVER shop at this TJ maxx again. read more

While i do agree you could get some great deals and good finds, i have to agree the workers there are absolutely terrible, a few are nice and friendly while the others are rude and unmannered. They don't say thank you, or you're welcome nothing. It's always messy with stuff everywhere. Just today, i tried on a few things in the fitting room, and when i was finished i said, "sorry nothing worked out" and the employee just, started at me and rolled her eyes, did not even say a peep... Sales Associate Marina has the poorest customer service. Along with the rest of the associates. This store tags things on clearance, when you go to pay at the register they won't let you purchase for clearance price even if it's their error. They make you feel like your lying when they tagged the item. No compensation. Never going back to this location. read more

The only reason I gave one star is that I had to give something to write a review, otherwise I would have given nothing! The supervisor that's working tonight (09/25/17) was completely RUDE and unprofessional!! I came to return/exchange a pair of career pants I had worn that day for work. Reason for my return; they irritated my skin and gave me a rash. The clerk told me no and that I was out of luck. She was rude and walked away from me. I asked to speak to the supervisor, she came over and she was worse!!! She had an attitude, talked down to me and spoke like I was stupid. She told me that she wouldn't exchange or give me a store credit because the pants had been worn. She walked away from me while I was speaking to her!!! Then she had the nerve to try and search my bag like I had stolen items, I grabbed my bag and walked out. Nowhere on the receipt does it disclose that policy, I'm within the 30-day exchange/return policy. THIS MANAGEMENT TEAM SUCKS AT ANYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH PROFESSIONALISM! Needed a few quick vacation items - the nice woman attending the changing room convinced me to sign up for the credit card - no problem there. One of the items I decided to return WAS a problem! First I went in without my receipt (okay, but still...), when I returned with my receipt, the clerk DEMANDED my original form of payment (the receipt does NOT have ANY disclaimer stating you must have the original form of payment!). I told her I had signed up for the TCMaxx MasterCard but had not yet received it and had shredded the temporary card I was given. She refused to credit any other card or give me cash back ($24.99). I had to wait until I received the card, activate it, THEN return the item....I have already paid my bill in full (just over $200) and have now CANCELLED the card.
