Baboy Boys mobile kitchen aka food truck specializes in Filipino food center around pork. Well…read morebaboy is the Tagalog/ Filipino word for pig or pork (can be used interchangeably). I saw the food truck in downtown Sacramento around lunch time. First time and I never heard of them before. I eyed the menu. My first choice of lechon was sold out. I pondered my next move and ultimately ordered a baboy sisig plate. I have never had sisig before nevertheless the pork version. Pork sisig is a pork dish made of chopped pork ( ear, belly and fat At least that's what the menu stated) in a soy citrus glaze. The pork had a slight sweetness. The order was served with white rice and spring roll. It was $23, ouch. A bit pricey. A container of vinegar was included which I didn't know could been used to pour over the sisig to add another depth of flavor, sourness. Sweet n sour. The fried spring roll had a so satisfying audible crunch as I bit into it. Crunchy crisp exterior. Yummy inside. The food came out on a paper boat. No not the kind Stuart Little used. The kind of plate that's curved up and open, with no lid. The boat was loaded up. Nice. But I'm a bit clumsy and as I was walking with this, internally I was saying to myself, "don't drop it." Which I didn't, I made it safely to my final destination and gobbled up the food. FYI - They cater. Look up their mobile schedule on social media IG.

I'm obsessed with their jerky! It's $15 a pack, but it is SO GOOD! I've been known to buy multiple packs when I see this food truck, just because I know if I bring it home my family will devour it. On top of the incredible jerky, they also have so many delicious options. I usually go for the longpia and it's always packed with flavor. I also like that their sweet chili sauce has a bit of a kick to it. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes and it typically doesn't take too long for your food to be ready after ordering. They do give you a little buzzer so you don't have to hover, and the food is always hot and fresh. Whenever I'm at an event with Baboy Boys I'm stopping.

And the Whoopie…read morepies-you can't tell from the pictures, but they are freaking JUMBO size However the prices changed from what's listed on here. I went to get a Lobster roll + whoopie pie (nothing else) and the total was $35! It IS delicious. Still thought it was worth it. It IS lobster, you can't expect it to be cheap like chicken or beef. Just be ware of that price hike. I know they have expenses to pay. I think this product is best in middle & upper class markets. Second thing is the worker wasn't proficient in English, so we went back and forth on Google Translate trying to understand each other for simple words like 'Cole slaw', 'on the side' & 'salad'. It was a frustrating experience plus a waste of company time! Time =$$! I would go back again when I am planning on spending that much. It IS the ONLY place I can find that sells Lobster rolls. Even Red Lobster only sells it during their Lobster fest. Just gotta have the Google Translate ready to go lol

Maybe he hasn't tried the lobster roll at Sam's Cowder House in Half Moon Bay: at least a half a pound of lobster! C'mon, give me a decent sized sandwich that won't leave me hungry. I'll pay for it. It's hard to want to return to your food truck, pay $25, and then still be hungry.

His go-to is the Taro Milk Tea Boba, while my personal favorites are the Tempura Enoki Mushroom Bao and the Oyster Bao which are both packed with flavor. The bao buns are a little thicker than my usual preference, but the combination of pickled veggies, fresh microgreens, and savory fillings more than make up for it. They also offer other great bite-sized snacks like dumplings and popcorn chicken, and their chicken bao is another flavorful option worth trying. Pricing is pretty much what you'd expect at farmers markets and event pop-ups, and the owners are genuinely kind and welcoming people. Ordering is simple, and they give you a buzzer so you can continue walking around while your food is being freshly prepared. If you happen to see them at a pop-up, definitely give them a try!

The mushrooms were nicely fried And the accompaniments with amazing. The pickled daikon and carrot mix (think ban mi) and fresh sprout were a nice balance to the fried goodness. Also the lightly sweet sauce made the taco-shaped bao a standout. 2. The fried shrimp dumplings were also great. Think a shrimp dumpling (ha gao) you get at dim sum then deep fried. There is a nice onion/soy based sauce on it and you can add chili oil if you want a little kick. Drink 3. Sadly the POG with lychee jelly just tasted like syrups mixed together. We would have loved it if it had some fresh ingredients. Only okay.
