Lady was so rude and disrespectful to me just because i asked her a receipt so i can turn to my job and get it reimbursed for the hemming of my uniform dress, which first she couldn't find, then She found it under a pile of other clothes not even have the consideration of have it in a hanger, when i ask for the receipt dont know why she got all defensive and started speaking her native language to the other gentleman who Was there with her and with all the rudeness in the world told me take your dress and get out of here. That was the treatment i got after i pay full in advance for the service even when just depositwas required. Avoid this place and if you do required their services, dont pay in advance. read more

The Right Price~ This place amazed me with their inexpensive prices. To have a suit both pants and jacket cleaned is a mere $7.00. Their alterations are also amazing and inexpensive. I just love this place. The owners/employees are very friendly and I am glad that they are part of the Lemon Grove Community! Don't confuse this place with Palomar dry cleaners(since they are so close to each other) I really enjoy the customer service here, very professional and plain out nice. Not what I was expecting in Lemon Grove. Plus as other people said, the prices are pretty good! It's a small place, but you just can't beat the service. My tuxedo is in gentle hands! read more

I am never coming here again! Ever! This place is a joke! 15$ deposit, don't dry it all the way through, add some new stains, create a 3 inch tear on it and then do a half ass job piecing it back together! I'm currently sitting in front of this shop, livid. I brought a ($400) feather mattress that I have had dry cleaned once before back in Orange County, without a single problem. I figured it's been two years since I last had it cleaned and since I currently moved, I'll freshen it up. I found this place on yelp, brought it in, in perfect condition. Mind you this is a 400$ mattress! FIRST they make me pay 15$ deposit because they think I'm gonna forget it there and they'll lose out on money. I come to pick it up and it's wrapped up in a bag. They don't take it out to show me or anything. I get home unwrap it, just to find a GIANT MACHINE WASH TEAR on the bottom part! About 3 inches long! Not a slit or clean cut or anything, it looks like they put it in a machine and it got caught and ripped- it has jagged edges and everything! Not only is there a tear, but there is an OVERWHELMING smell of mold and mildew. That's what happens when it's not dry cleaned properly and when it's not completely dry. I called them immediately and spoke to the wife of who I assume is the owner. She tells me to bring it in and they will sew it back together at no charge. I told them I'd bring it in tomorrow (today 7/17/13) as it was quite inconvenient for me to drive there again an where I would demand a refund! Well I'm here now. She told me it would take a 1/2 hr to sew it back... That was at 430... It's now 547!!!! And she's doing a terrible job! I just checked it and there are gaps where no thread has even touched it! The best part is that when I called to tell them about the tear, they said that it was there when I brought it to them!!! NO THE HELL IT WASN'T! And there were 3 new pink stains on it too! If there WAS a tear, why wouldn't you call to verify with the client, why didn't I see it when I checked it with her husband?! Needless to say I had to argue with her for 10 minutes about a refund AND she wanted to go halves on it because it means that they lose money! Excuse me, but YOU just ruined a 400$ feather mattress and you want to argue with me about a 45$ refund because YOU WILL LOSE MONEY ON IT?! Sorry if I don't care! If they couldn't do the job right, they should have told me so that I could go somewhere else to get it done!!! Never again! Btw it's 617pm now and I'm still here with my boyfriends very impatient daughter! read more

Fast, efficient, affordable and dependable.

This spot is hard to see but glad we came across it especially it being down the street from us. I was totally surprised my belongings were here for quite sometime and they said they typically move things out after a certain time period. So. Not recommended at all. Hours posted are not accurate. Shop reeks of cigarette smoke, therefore your cleaned clothes would too. I found the owner to be on the verge of rude. I was going to drop off 5 men's size L shirts & 1 men's size S shirt for laundry & starch. The size S was going to be nearly double because it needed to go on a special press? Nope. Left with my laundry & went to Grossmont Cleaners. Guess what? No extra charge for the size S shirt. read more

Horrible, I hate giving bad reviews but I am one who appreciates the warning. I took a brand new blouse to be altered because it was too long (which they actually did a good job) but when I picked it up I noticed it had an oil type looking stain. I was told that it was a water stain but it would not dry out. When I pointed it out they actually changed their water claim and told me that I brought it in that way. WHAT? It was brand new for goodness sakes and we actually tried it on (we all would have noticed it)! They never offered to even try to clean it, give us our money back or anything. I told him I would give his business a bad review and he said "go ahead". NEVER would go there again!!! read more

Called these folks up at 2pm on a Saturday for a same day alteration. My grandma's birthday party was at 4pm in Point Loma and my dress was too big. TJ'S had my dress ready by 3:45pm, and it was more than a quick hem. I will certainly return. It was $20. I thought it was a great price for all that work so quick. read more

Dropped my $90 dress shirt off to get clean and try and get a stain out, got back the shirt with the stain still there with the extra bonus of having the shoulder cut with scissors. Should've know since when I went to drop it off, the persons clothing in line in front of me got lost. Do yourself a favor and choose another place. read more

Got my wedding dress cleaned here, as well as cathedral length veil. Stains were deep set, and 11 years old. They cleaned it very well (triple cleaned to remove stains) for a reasonable price. Had it boxed up and preserved as well. Excellent customer service, very friendly. Even helped me to walk the box out to my car, with a friendly smile. read more

Ok so this is my local dry cleaning company when I am in town. It feels like a family-oriented business with all the music but I had an issue with some scruffs on the knees of my business pants and although they told me I could try and get them out myself I didn't want to. I wanted them to and guess what ...... they got those stains out of my business pants and I am soooooo grateful. My clothes are always ready on time and I like them. So I would recommend for sure. read more

Absolutely terrible. Took in 15-20 items and this place destroyed two Polo Shirts valued over $60 each. Had the nerve to offer $20 off as if that was enough compensation to offset the damages. Gave this place 2 chances, the first time my white shirts came back yellowed. To their credit they fixed them, but the second time I sent my shirt it came back missing the top button, which I did not notice till the day I needed to wear it. It is hard to wear a tie without a top button. I am upset and will never use this place again. read more

I can't say enough good things about TJ's! They are super friendly, cheap, time efficient, and skilled. I had designer jeans altered and you can't even tell. I've had dresses taken in, shortened, added straps, and they have not disappointed. They hem EXACTLY how you want your garment. Some alterations places try to tell you how you want your clothes, not here! You tell them what you want and they deliver! Great place and really good price! read more
