Second time coming here. This time around man bad experience. Someone was mopping right by us as we ate and oh man such a strong smell of chemicals, it made us all nauseas and appetite went away. Our food was ok but my chow fun had a narly black hair in and we found a piece of little metal in our food. Like from a grill brush. We will not be coming back again. Another new place in the SF supermarket mall that I was looking forward to trying, but overall, it was just OK. The place is very clean, and the people are friendly. Overall, it's a decent size menu. Mostly soups, but other items as well. I decided to go with the number 24, combination over rice. The meal comes quickly. It was a good portion, but overall, sadly, I wasn't too impressed. The rice was good, just the right texture, there were plenty of veggies, but most of the veggies were cabbage. A few other veggies, but it was mostly just cabbage. There was a good amount of protein, the shrimp tasted good, but the chicken was hit or miss. While the chicken tasted good, some of it was tender, and some of it was kind of tough. The thing I really noticed, was that the food was kind of bland. It had a bit of an OK flavor, but not much. A little bit of soy sauce and hoisin did help. I had enough to take home for a second meal, and when I got it, Home, I added a little bit of dark soy sauce, and a little bit of fish sauce to really "add the funk", and that just made it a home run. They really do need to put a bit more seasoning on their food. Overall, the price was good. They do charge a 3% if you pay other than cash. I'm sad to say that the food came out pretty bland and not as good as the TK Noodles on Stockton blvd. The egg noodles were overcooked and not chewy. Also, the young lady who helped us didn't seem very familiar with the menu or available options. When we asked if we could do half egg noodles and half rice noodles, we were told it would be an additional $3. I thought that was unusual since that doesn't happen at other places - first time hearing that here. On top of that, there's also a 3% credit card fee if you pay with card, and passing on credit card fees to their customers. We came here for the first time as we didn't know there was a "TK-type" place in the area. Growing up, my dad would take us to TK Noodle so to see TL noodle which supposedly is related to the TK Noodle was a great sight to see. We miss the Bay Area TK noodle houses. Upon arriving, the restaurant looks fairly new; I was told it just opened in Oct/Nov 2025. We ordered a #5- beef stew stick noodle and a #17- combination vermicelli soup. Both were delicious and my husband really enjoyed the beef stew. I enjoyed the combination vermicelli but I wish I knew that that there was a rice stick combination as well (I remember chatting with the lady who took our order). It was later that I found out that there's a different version of the #17 that has the rice stick noodle instead. The bathrooms are also very clean and you can rest assured that the place is new, bright and clean too. Very happy that they have a closer location for us to eat the Combination Wonton Rice Noodles. It tastes very similar to TK Nooldes on 65th and Stockton Blvd. location. Our favorite dish is the #3 Combination Wonton Rice Noodles. The pork skins come with the soup so you don't have to order extra on the side unless you want more portion. Saw that this place finally opened, so we decided to stop by around 5pm for dinner. The space itself is spacious, plenty of tables, and we were seated right away. Menus were already at the table, but the waters came out with no ice and just looked unappetizing. We ordered the #9 combination wonton with wide noodles, but the chicken was pretty dry and they initially brought it out with egg noodles by mistake. At least they were willing to fix it. My husband had the #7 beef stew, which was just okay. The chow fun was mostly vegetables with barely any noodles, and it really lacked flavor. We also ordered the fried wontons, which didn't show up until about 15 minutes after all our entrees because the server forgot them. Honestly, I wish they had just stayed forgotten because they were dry and bland. The drinks ended up being the best part of the meal. The Thai tea and matcha latte with boba actually had flavor, though they were packed with so much ice that you barely get much drink out of it. Once the food hits the table, no one really checks on you, and when you're done you just walk up to pay. Our total was $62, and on top of that they charge a 3% credit card fee, which feels excessive. The fried egg taro cake - was bomb thou. Super crispy dipped w vinegar sauce. If you don't like vinegar then this might not be for you. They have their infamous flour cakes along with all the noodle dishes you can possibly think of!! Being that they are new, they still have a few kinks to work on. Welllll.. I have found it! Rancho Cordova on Sunrise Blvd! TL Noodle! They had their grand opening on November 15, 2025. It turns out the owners of TL Noodle are related to the owners of TK Noodle. The menu is exactly the same. The #8 with no beef balls is still my go to. I visited on a Monday morning and arrived about 20 minutes after they opened. The inside is clean and airy. Great lighting with quite a few windows. They have tables instead of booths which means they can accommodate groups and individuals that might require special seating. They even have high chairs for the kiddos. I was able to talk to the staff about their business. Excellent customer service and very personable. Been waiting for this place to open! So excited - it's hard to find any places nearby that have HOFUN noodles besides driving all the way down to south Sac. Decided to drive by on Saturday morning around 9ish because they didn't have any hours posted online, and luckily they were open! I took photos of the hours so everyone can be aware now. I would only recommend these noodle shops if you're the type to dump half a bottle of Hoisin and Sriracha sauce into your broth because I'm not sure what kind of psycho would find this edible without all the works. The restaurant is clean, considering they just opened a couple weeks ago. There was a boy, about the age of 9 running around in his loud Crocs taking people's orders. I get it that's it's a family run business, but they shouldn't have a kid taking people's orders. He didn't have much knowledge of the menu and didn't know personal space. For instance, when I asked him what kind of noodle was in the #9 Combination Wonton Noodle Soup, he replied, "I don't know." all the while leaning waaaaayyyy close on the menu on the table, his head almost touching mine! We had to ask him to go find out the type of noodle was in the soup. ‍ I ordered the #9 Combination Wonton Noodle Soup and my husband ordered the Thick Rice Noodle Combination Wonton Soup. I will have to say, the #9 tasted really good and was satisfying. The egg noodle had a nice bite to it. Although $15 was a little pricey for noodle soup in my opinion. If you're coming here for tasty food, you won't be disappointed, but for service you most likely will be disappointed! They need to work on their customer service, that's for sure. It's definitely not TK Noodle in South Sac! It was just alright. We ordered, I think number one? The standard hu tieu with fat rice noodles. The flavor was so bland. We had to season with table salt and fish sauce. Also, the names for the noodles were not accurate (isn't rice stick pho noodles), so describe the noodle type you want to be sure. The restaurant is also very plain, boring and brightly lite with led lights. It felt like eating in a cafeteria. I felt too exposed! The service was also not good as the staff were not trained and too many people servicing that they were all confused which table orders first, which table ordered which food, and who needed what.
