Saw this as I was searching for something new to try with my husband for lunch.. the restaurant is small and a bit bare but is welcoming. Service was quick and friendly. My husband and I tried the chicken pho, the shrimp rolls and I had a green Thai tea The shrimp roll is delicious! Hard to mess that up really. The chicken pho was ok.. it was on the bland side but ok. The green Thai tea was delicious! I rarely see any place serve Thai green tea so when it's on the menu it's a must for me to order lol Over all the food was good .. I will be back to try the beef pho one of these days

3.5 stars, rounding up to 4 since they're new. I saw this place on Yelp when I first opened the app. I was looking for dinner and this place got good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I was excited for the green Thai tea, which was the only thing that didn't disappoint. Wish it came out before my food though. Pho was very small. Their large felt like a small at other places. It was expensive for the size. $15 for a small and $18 for a large. Both my partner and I felt that it was oily and lacked flavor. Meat was also lacking. I got 6 slices of rare steak in my small. Luckily, I'm not big of meat so I didn't mind. But, it felt like a poor value to us. Spring rolls came out last. They were a bit hard for me to chew, particularly towards the end. They were looser than i like, making them a bit messier. I didn't care for the peanut sauce.. too watery and lacking dimension imo. I really liked that they had bbq pork as an option though, unlike the typical pink-colored grilled pork. I had pickled veggies added, so it was like a vermicelli bowl in a roll. I think maybe having a fish sauce-type sauce (like the orange sauce from Quan Nem Ninh Hoa) would be a nice option. Decent, but a bit disappointing. I didnt even know this little shopping strip was back here lol. Small-ish parking lot, but didn't have a problem getting a space right out front. It's next to a liquor store, so the parking lot can seem a bit sketch at times. But I never felt unsafe. Service was good. Friendly and checked in a couple times. Food/drinks came a bit out of order, but wait wasn't too long. I wanted to love this place.. unfortunately, I don't.. yet. I would like to come back in the future and give them another. So, I really hope they're able to survive and improve/expand their options.

This is a new Vietnamese restaurant that's small, quaint, and tucked into a quieter strip mall--easy to miss, but worth stopping by. I ordered the rare beef pho and the flavor was ok. Pricing is about average for pho. I ordered a small, which came with around five pieces of beef--definitely my mistake. I was still a bit hungry afterward and would go large next time. The small IMO is too small. Service was quick and very friendly, which always makes a difference, especially for a new place. The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, with a simple, cozy feel. Overall, a nice addition to the neighborhood. I'd come back and try more items on the menu. Hope they thrive, there are a few Vietnamese restaurants with a 1 mile radius and 1 of the neighboring Vietnamese restaurant was a Michelin Mentione 2025.

Delicious Rare Pho with Shrimp Egg rolls fried to perfection!!!!

I ordered the Rare Pho with Shrimp Egg rolls which were fried to perfection!!!! I was greeted immediately. I was provided water with my menu (which I very much appreciate). Not many places do that anymore. The food came out piping hot. The server was attentive by refilling my water. The owner introduced himself and thanked me personally for coming in On occasion I work off of Armstrong. When I do, I will definitely come back with company.

    Abundant additions!

The pho was BOSS! I got a #7 rare beef, my husband got the #1 combo- the broth was full of flavor, piping hot and aromatic, the beef was perfect and the accoutrements really let us customize to our tastes. Chili sauce, hoisin, sriracha, fish sauce and pickled jalapeño in addition to the classic sprouts/basil/fresh jalapeño/citrus plate. Everything was so fresh! Hot tea and shrimp fresh rolls with peanut sauce rounded everything out. I see now that they just opened and we went at lunchtime. Fong (sp?) was super friendly, checked on us appropriately and food was served promptly (you could easily eat here on your lunch hour). The cute woven baskets on the walls and woven lampshades give a laid back feeling, as pho vibes should be. The booth was comfy and my husband and I were able to sit next to each other which is always nice, the whole place is pretty intimate in a good way. Was a little chilly inside at first, but just bring a sweater to wear until you get your hot soup and add copious amounts of chili oil, you'll be warm in no time. You're gonna want to eat here.

New Spot alert! Super cute and clean Pho restaurant.. they are super friendly and welcoming. I ordered #3 small Pho and it was delicious and the serving size was more than enough for me. The meat was fresh and tender and the broth was just so savory and delicious. I really have to say this was one of the best Pho's I ever had. Please give them a shot.. you will not me disappointed!! Let's support small businesses!!

Came here for pho and really enjoyed it. Ambience is okay, good lighting ! The broth was flavorful and comforting, and the meat portion was generous, which I really appreciated. We started with the egg rolls and spring rolls--both were fresh and tasty, with the egg rolls crispy and the spring rolls light and refreshing. Service was quick and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Overall a solid spot for pho and appetizers, and I'd definitely come back. I ate too fast forgot to take a picture of Pho !

    Shrimp spring rolls

The service was great and the food was amazing! Ordered the shrimp spring rolls and Pho noodles #3. So yummy! Will be back again. Clean dining room area and nice music

Combination pho noodle soup #1 AKA pho đặc biệt, side of nước bều (fatty broth) fried shrimp egg rolls with pho herbs.

I originally came in fully committed to ordering the Bún Bò Huế (P4), but the moment I heard about the $3.50 giant rib add-on, all bets were off. I switched to the P1 Combo Pho just so I could have that massive, fall-off-the-bone rib soaking in that rich, aromatic broth and it was absolutely worth it. The broth was deeply savory and comforting, layered with flavor without being overly salty, and that rib took things to another level. Tender, meaty, and perfectly braised, it made each bite feel extra indulgent. My boyfriend went with the bánh mì pork sandwich, and we added fried egg rolls for the table. The bánh mì had that perfect balance of crispy baguette, juicy pork, and fresh pickled veggies, while the egg rolls came out hot, crunchy, and packed with flavor. We also got the chance to meet the owner/chef and had such a great conversation, which made the whole experience feel even more personal. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the night. Safe to say, this spot continues to deliver -we'll definitely be back for more.

The Fried Chicken Dumplings were also very good, and the dipping sauce paired perfectly with them. The Saigon Alley Wings were equally delicious -- crispy, flavorful, and definitely one of the highlights. The Dynamite Scallops tasted amazing as well, but again, the portion was very small, so I'd recommend ordering more than one if sharing. The Fried Shrimp tossed in salt and pepper with jalapeños was nicely balanced and not overly salty. The Fried Calamari with cilantro aioli was cooked perfectly -- tender and not rubbery at all. For the mains, the Charbroiled Pork Chops and Short Ribs topped with scallion oil, shallots, and fish sauce vinaigrette were wonderfully flavorful, and the meat was tender. We also tried the Garlic Noodles, which were decent, although I've had better garlic noodles at other restaurants, and they arrived a little cold. The Garlic String Beans sautéed in garlic butter sauce with chili flakes were surprisingly one of my favorites -- crunchy, garlicky, and absolutely delicious. I also loved the Thai Tea because it wasn't overly sweet. For dessert, we tried the sesame balls with condensed milk, which we enjoyed, although it was the only dessert option on the menu. Overall, the food was flavorful and well-prepared, but the portions definitely lean on the smaller side. It was a bummer when they told us they didn't make ox tail or bum rieu today. Instead we ordered beef tartare, beef pho and shaken beef with rice. The beef tartare was this sliced raw beef with onion, herbs and lime which made the dish rich and savory. The pho was mediocre and same goes for the shaken beef, but both dishes were still tasty enough. During our time there, the server did not check on us or refill our water. I found out later, you can also either call your order in, or you can order pick up or delivery through DoorDash. I came back on the following Monday, and the place was still busy, but not as busy. They have a decent number of cash register stations taking orders. They have an extremely large menu. I counted 18 different Banh mi variations, and lots of other things For my starter, I wanted to try the. Pate chaud, which is pate in a puff pastry, but unfortunately, they were out. Instead, I got a mini steamed bao bun, with fried chicken in the middle. For my banh mi, I ordered the egg, sausage, and pork loaf, but instead, I got the grilled pork and egg. I'm not going to take off any stars or anything, because hey, misunderstandings happen, and it was still an amazing sandwich. They gave me a number, and it was a short wait for my sandwich. Between the registers and the people making the sandwiches in back, it's like an assembly line operation. They are quick, and the prices are extremely reasonable. The sandwich was very large, The bread was still warm. I took the sandwich home, but I ate the bao bun on the way home. It was very good. The bun had a good consistency, and the chicken was excellent. Seasoned well, just the right amount of breading, and tender on the inside. When I got the banh mi home, that's when I discovered the mixup. But I enjoyed it just as much. The egg was fluffy, and the pork was excellent. . It was a little bit sweet, like a Char siu. The pork was also very tender. The veggies were fresh. There was generous Portions. I was only going to eat half, but it was so good, I ended up eating the whole thing. I will definitely be back when I'm in South sac. Heck, that sandwich was so good, I would drive down from Rancho, just to get one. Thanks!

Duc Huong has a variety of Vietnamese Banh Mi's to satisfy almost every consumer. It's a 30 min drive for us but is the most consistent Banh mi place for me and my choice for a Banh mi franchise over lee's.
