Came on a Saturday, about a 30 minute wait for a table of 2. Plenty of menu options and great spritzers, I've never had spring rolls with the egg roll inside. I was very pleased about that! I got a green Thai tea, less sweet since I feel they are way too sugary when I order out, and the drink was somewhat bitter but I was able to drink it. The wontons were perfect, nothing they could've done better! The hopes I had for this pho was to the moon and stars, a Michelin star SEA with affordable prices? Hell yeah! Okay, okay... so I can why this place is popular the Pho here is pretty good. I met up with a girlfriend of mine for lunch and Pho Momma was the perfect spot because she loves Viet food too! First and foremost, y'all know I had to try the bone marrow toast and of course, a hot bowl of fresh pho. So as far as the Bone Marrow Toast, if I'm being completely honest it's not all that and a bag of chips, sorry not sorry. I have had much better bone marrow at other spots and even at my house homemade. The crostini bread that the marrow is spread over, was also stale in my opinion. Quite disappointing about the bone marrow especially because everyone talks about it like its the best thing since sliced bread. I know I'm a bit late in trying Pho Momma. When I heard they made it in MICHELIN Guide Restaurant list, I called my dear Vietnamese friend and schedule a lunch date right away. We probably came here at the busiest time on Saturday at around 1:30 pm. They don't take reservation and it's a small restaurant. The wait was about 15-20 minutes but gave us time to look at the menu. By the time we sat down, we knew exactly what we want. Obviously, we have to order the Pho. We got the lean beef, flank, brisket. The long-simmered broth is excellent and very flavorful. The ingredients are fresh. Most importantly, approved by my Vietnamese friend. We also try the Momma's Garlic Noodles and Beef Marrow Toast from Momma's Specials section. I would skip the toast. I expected it to be on a nice toasted baguette instead of a regular slice of bread. The beef was good and I never pass on beef marrow or bone marrow whenever I see it on the menu. The Garlic Noodles was savory but the spotlight is still on the Pho. I was drooling over the picture of Pork Sausage with crispy layers spring roll and had to get it. It was so darn good and I'm getting my veggies in for the day. They also have a good beverage menu with Vietnamese coffee, shakes, sweet teas and milk teas. Quick service because they want to be able to serve more waiting customers. I had the chance to try out Pho Momma for the first time for dinner. Thanks to reading the Yelp reviews I knew that there were no reservations so we arrived early, around 5:30 PM. We were pleasantly surprised to not have to wait for very long, just a few minutes. The restaurant is on the small side so getting there early is definitely recommended. The service was friendly and attentive. I appreciate that the menu reminded diners to let the staff know about any allergies. The food did not take long to come out after ordering. The beef stew noodle soup was pleasantly spicy and flavorful. The shrimp eggroll was overly fried and hard to bite into. The regular egg rolls were tasty, but did not particularly stand out from other Vietnamese, eggrolls we have had. The Pho with beef balls was fine but not better than other Pho places we have tried. The garlic noodles were average in terms of flavor but the chicken that came with it did not have much seasoning. The curry vermicelli noodles with tofu dish did not work for me. The curry was bland. The dish came with pickled vegetables and lettuce with a side of what tasted like a typical fish sauce/vinegar dipping sauce. Portion sizes were good. Parking was plentiful. 3rd times the charm! My girlfriends and I FINALLY made it into this famous pho haven here in Sacramento! And it was my FIRST TIME! 01/24/26 This place gets super busy! I attempted to come twice before and it way too busy and there was a wait outside and the place is small compared to other pho locations which are generally bigger in space and capacity. Ambience is nice chill and very homey! The people working there are VERY NICE AND ATTENTIVE! My girlfriends were able to secure a nice big booth while I was still enroute. Imma keep it real, EVERYTHING WE TRIED WAS GOOD! I had water, my girls got Thai Green Tea and Mango Milk and they loved it! I got a Mocha latte to go and it was BOMB! Nice and strong! I had an unpleasant experience the last time I was here, but based on all of the wonderful reviews, I wanted to give the place another try. I'm glad I did. This restaurant received a Michelin bib gourmand, which recognizes high-quality food at a great value. This award is one step below a Michelin star. I walked in at 1:30 PM on a Thursday. The place was still busy, but there were a few tables left. The space is relatively small. I was seated right away. Everybody was friendly. I decided to start with the meat marrow toast. It was a-mazing! There was some finely shredded meat mixed in with the bone marrow, but I didn't mind it at all, because it added a little bit of texture. It was so rich, and yet savory at the same time. They gave me six generous pieces. How they could do that for only $10, I have no idea.... For $13, I ordered a small number 1 pho with everything. It came with lime, bean, sprouts and mint, the usual fixin's. It was beyond amazing. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were just the right texture, and the meats were melt in your mouth tender. Even the fatty meats were not overly fatty. Just enough to add some flavor. For a small, it didn't look very big, but was an extremely generous portion. I saw somebody order a large, and that thing was *HUGE!*. I waddled out the door stuffed, and beyond satisfied. I'm glad I came, this place definitely lives up to the hype. If I came again, and the place was extremely busy, the next time I would just do to go order and take my food home. All the Hype of Pho Momma! I heard Pho mamma was so good and it received a Michelin star mention, so I wanted to see what all the hype was about. We came for lunch on a Saturday, parking was fine, parking lot was small, and there was a wait, had to wait roughly 15-20 minutes. Also this spot is only open Thursday-Sunday from 11:00-8:30! Inside was pretty crowded, decor is nothing special but it does get busy! This spot serves drinks such as boba and Vietnamese coffee. We also ordered a #3 which is lean beef and brisket, and a Beef Stew egg noodle! My large #1 wasn't so large to me! Honestly, it needed more meat, I was still hungry, needed more tendon, more tripe, more beef! Also, noodles were overcooked! And the broth, the broth was the MOST disappointing, broth had good flavor BUT it was tooooo fatty, you can taste and feel the fat and grease when you swallow the broth, which is not a good thing..... The #3 had the same issue, broth tasted fatty and greasy. Noodles overcooked.... The e beef stew egg noodle was okay, slight spicy flavor but the noodles was the biggest bust, it was the flat egg noodle and not the skinny egg noodle.... They only had one option. Boba- blah.... I ordered the small #1 ($13), and we ended up getting more items to share like the pork sausage with crispy layers spring rolls ($13), the crab cream cheese wontons ($9 for 8 pieces), and chili oil wontons ($9 for 8 pieces). All of the food was so flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. You can tell there's care put into each menu item, the ingredients, and the presentation. The only thing bad about Pho Momma is the wait time. This unassuming restaurant in a La Riviera strip-mall won a nod from Michelin with a Bib Gourmand, which means great value and quality. And they deserve it. I've been here many times and am happy that they maintain the separate vegan menu (ask for it) which hits all the high notes: *Veggie Pho loaded with tofu and all of the fixings. However, when I taste the broth, it wasn't piping hot like how other pho places in Sac. It was just hot-warm. You know if a pho is hot, when it can cook the veggies. When it doesn't cook your veggies, then it's not hot enough, but that's my preferences. Also, the broth was flavorful salty, and didn't have much bone flavor that typically in pho. When I say the pho is flavorful, it is flavorful but not from the beef bones. Overall, it was too salty for me and didn't live up the hype or the drive/wait for this bowl of pho. The pork sausage with crispy layer was crunchy and the sauce was perfect for dipping because it added a savory and salty addition to the bite. The crunch on the salt and pepper wings reminded me of the Popeye's extra crispy chicken and the jalapeños gave it some heat. I skipped the dipping sauce for this one because I didn't want anything messing with my crunch. The star of the night was the pho. It was flavorful and the sweetness from the star anise was well balanced with the aromatics and savory broth. I did very little to change the flavor of the broth. A few sprigs of basil and some pickled jalapeños did the trick for me. A hearty meal fit for rainy weather. Trust the hype for this one and keep your place in line. We were looking for some food on the way to Tahoe and saw this Michelin Guide spot on the map so we decided to give it a try. Service was interesting...they were on the slower side to get us our food, but were quick to place the bill down when they're was no one waiting for a table nor was it closing time. We were maybe halfway through our food, but this is just more of a pet peeve. We ordered the classic beef pho and the beef stew. The beef stew had a very tangy and gingery flavor to it that isn't common with beef stews I've had in the past. The beef pho was average. The kicker was definitely the fish sauce chicken wings. New unique flavor profile that I've never tried with wings but was executed very well. It's a must-order; so delicious. read more

Had to check out the michilen rated place it didnt dissapoint. Went on a thursday at 3 p.m and there was about a 20 Min wait. The place isnt very big but Clean and nicely designed . My friend ordered the beef stew PHO which she said was excellent i had the chicken and wonton very Good Clean broth fresh noodles also tried the pork eggrolls nice amount of well seasoned filling and the chicken wings were crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. My friend also ordered a Coconut Jack fruit drink which she enjoyed. Hoping to visit another Time and try more of the things on the Menu . read more

I've been to Pho Momma HOW many times and haven't left a review?! And now they're on the Michelin guide! One of my favorite spots for a comforting bowl of pho. This was originally recommended to me by my friend from Vietnam, so I knew it had to be good! The space is pretty small, but they do turnover very efficiently. If it's full inside, there's a sheet for you to write your name on the waitlist. Menu is packed with classic favorites and exciting new items. They have teas, boba, and coffee, and all sorts of delicious Vietnamese dishes! I always get their #1 with everything and their fish sauce chicken wings- my favorite! Service is super sweet and they use the good pebble ice in their water. I recommend going just before opening if you don't want to wait! Plenty of parking in the parking lot. read more

Pho Momma is worth the hype! We came on a Thursday night around 6. We put our name on the list with our party number and because there was small waiting area with limited seats inside, we waited outside until our names were called (little less than 30 min.). Because of our wait and the menu posted on the outside window, we were ready to order soon after we sat down. The restaurant is fairly small, but not too cramped. Now my thoughts on what we ordered: - Chili-Oil Wontons: beautiful presentation, delicious filling, great texture, and not too spicy - Momma's Garlic Noodles w/ Chicken: noodles are thick with a great texture, sauce coated them well; bold flavor and the chicken complimented it well - #4 Lean Beef Pho (small): love the cut size of the meat and there was plenty of it, the noodles were plentiful even for the small size, the broth was flavorful, however I wish it was hotter when it came to my table- it was only warm - Pork Eggrolls: delicious, crispy, no complaints - Brown sugar vanilla swirl & Sunrise lemonade tea: Brown sugar was sweet but not too sweet, super tasty. This place really exceeded my expectations! An unassuming spot on a strip mall in a suburban neighborhood has some of the best pho that I've ever had! It was packed when we arrived a little after opening on a Saturday and we were not able to be in the first seating. The staff were working hard here and did their best to manage the crowd. There are only 10-15 tables overall and a small indoor waiting area. I really love that they have a size XSmall when it comes to pho bowl sizes. It really allowed us to order more things! Offerings: - Bone Marrow Toast: Great flavor and texture but the visual was a little off putting. Serving it on sliced white bread is a choice. And the meat could almost be mistaken for pulled pork. But close your eyes and it's a treat! - Pho with Flank Steak: the meat and noodles were pretty par for the course but the broth was very good. I think it may lean slightly saltier than usual but sooo delicious. Served with all the regular accoutrements. My partner did add chili oil that was available on the table and it was pretty good too! - Garlic noodles: these were fine. Great texture and plenty of chopped garlic. Creamy sauce. This place is okay. Not worth the Michelin hype. We both got the #1 pho (pho dac biet) and chilled shrimp spring rolls. The vermicelli was very al dente. Broth was ok. We got a little bit of thai basil just before they ran out fairly early into dinner service. The spring rolls again were alright. I've had better viet food off Stockton Blvd. I would give one more star if service was better. Right after sitting down, we were approached by 4 different servers asking if we were ready to order within 2 minutes of being sat. We felt very rushed. I understand there's lots of people waiting to be seated, but we had just been sat. Overall, this place is alright. Just not what we were expecting. read more

The shrimp pho is superb! From the chicken broth to the fresh herbaceous vegetables everything about it is delicious. The butter shrimp spring roll was average, nothing too memorable. The salt and pepper chicken wings lacked flavor and was skimpy on the onion and pepper mixture. The garlic noodles were a bit dry and lacking garlic flavor. The lychee passion tea was delicious. 10/10! Finally had a chance to try Pho Momma (and went back again a week later) and it certainly lives up to the hype. I've ordered the #12 (chicken pho with pork wontons) and my partner loves the #1 pho (beef with tripe and other deliciousness). Portions and quality are fantastic for the price point. Have also tried the garlic noodles, grilled pork spring rolls, and fried pork rolls and everything was so tasty. Will be back again and again especially during this cozy winter! read more
