Another place in the SF supermarket building that I have not tried yet. An amazing meal. Nothing fancy on the inside, just a nice little dining room. The people were very friendly. They have a large menu, with a large amount of appetizers, including the Banh Xeo crêpes, which I absolutely love. They have pho, vermicelli, dishes, noodle, dishes, and other items as well. I decided to go a little fancy, and I tried the catfish clay pot. I usually get my catfish deep fried, so I haven't had it this way before. It was amazing! It came in this deep, rich, sauce, that was like the color of a dark caramel. I could definitely taste the catfish in the sauce. I asked the lady at the restaurant what was in the sauce, she just smiled and said, "it's a secret." whatever it was, it was extremely good. It comes topped with onions, cilantro, scallions, fried scallions, and jalapeño. I had them leave off the jalapeño The toppings added a nice. Flavor and a crunch to the Dish. You are getting fillets of whole catfish, skin, bones, and all. The catfish was Fork tender. With that mild, tender, definitely not fishy taste that you get from catfish. There was a lot of it too. I liked the skin, although it is very smooth, some people might say rubbery. IIt can be offputting to some, but I really enjoyed it The other thing is, the catfish does come with bones, and all. The larger bones are fine, but you have to be careful of all of the little pin bones that are part of the fish. The Dish also came with a wonderful jasmine rice, which I love. I had enough leftover to bring home for a second meal. The catfish is one of the higher priced items on the menu, but believe me, it's worth every penny. Arrived Sunday ~11:50AM No one at the front desk to seat us/direct, we just seated ourselves after standing around for ~5 mins. Only one staff visible on the floor handling the full restaurant. ~20 mins wait until water hits the table. Another ~10 mins until food arrives. Other customers walking up to the front desk to get to-go containers or pay the bill (I did the same, tired of waiting). Unbussed tables with dirty dishes everywhere as we were leaving. I don't even blame the singular staff member present, he was doing tasks usually divided between 2-3 staffs in other restaurants. (seating customers, taking orders, running food/drinks, bussing/clearing tables, processing payments, etc) PLEASE reconsider the staffing decisions, especially during hours that's normally busy. The food was good/average, but is not the point of this review. read more

I'm not sure if it just happened to be a bad day for them or if they are always short staffed, but my experiance here was not good. It took about 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us when we walked in, and the reason why soon became very clear. There was only one person working the dining room. They had to seat the guests, take the orders, deliver the food and drinks, bill out the guests AND bus and clean the tables all by themselves. Our visit took just over an hour, and most of that was waiting for our food, so I can only assume they were short staffed in the kitchen as well. Service aside, I just wasn't impressed with the food. It was only okay. I ordered the chow mein with barbecue pork. In my opinion, it was not worth the wait time nor the price. Overall I don't feel the employee was NOT the problem here, that man never stopped running around while we were there. He was constantly busy (being the only one working up front), and seemed overwhelmed! I don't fault him for dropping our food off and bolting without a word! Saturday, 6/06/2026 - Tried "Pho Tasty Vietnamese Cuisine". Address is 2738 Sunrise Blvd, Ste 4, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742. It's located in SF Supermarket, but on the outside of the grocery store. Upon arrival... Pros 1) lots of parking. No issue with parking. 2) the hostess was super nice. Seated us right away. 3) All the foods we got were delicious. Very tasty and full of flavor. The hostess told us his dad makes it. 4) restaurant was clean. Our table, chairs, plates, utensils, cups were all clean. 5) Cons 1) love the shrimp spring roll. But sadden there isn't that crunchy thing in the middle like other restaurants I've been too. Still good tho. 2) peanut sauce was waaaaay too watery. Still good. 3) no bathroom inside the restaurant. But you can walk into SF Supermarket food court and use the bathroom here. Conclusion I really liked this little restaurant. If you haven't been here, you gotta go try them. First time I am here to check out this Pho. The Pho broth is good. It needs a little bit more salt. By the time you put the lemon juice in and all the veges the broth tastes kinda bland. The meat flank is chewy not tender enough yet. Hopefully the cook see my message then he can cook a little longer. I have to spit out the chewy parts. Bun bo hue was pretty solid, good flavor and a good amount of meat. I prefer my noodles a little more Al dente and these were a bit on the softer side but overall was a good bowl. A couple items we wanted to order was out of stock though. Service was nice, they had some communication issues with us but they helped us the best they could. One of the guys that made the noodles even came out to replace a bowl of pho that they accidentally gave beef broth instead of chicken broth. But it was a miscommunication and we didn't mind but he replaced the bowl and was really apologetic. We appreciated that. read more

I haven't had a chance to try the pho yet but I love: Fish Sauce Wings and the Grilled Beef Vermicelli here. If you haven't tried the Grilled Beef Vermicelli, give it a try because I think that's the best bún thịt nướng in the Greater Sacramento Area. The side of the beef rib was a very generous portion for $6 as seen in the picture. Im not sure where they source their produce and meats but I'm thinking being conveniently in a center with an Asian market, their meats and veggies are very fresh since they probably don't have to overstock them. The pork spring rolls were delicious. The pork was well marinated and had a great charcoal taste. I would have preferred more herbs in the roll, but it was satisfying. The peanut sauce was also a bit sweet. The service was prompt and efficient, allowing us to enjoy our meal and leave in just 30 minutes. The service was good - kind and polite staff throughout our meal. We got the phở ga, sliced pork over vermicelli, lemongrass chicken à la carte, and Thai teas. The phở ga was okay - the broth was tasty but the amount of noodles/broth to the amount of chicken in the bowl was unbalanced. The sliced pork was delicious but again you get about a pound of noodles with about two to three ounces of sliced meat. The star of the meal was the lemongrass chicken. My nephew really enjoyed the chicken pho here so decided to come try this place. On the menu, there are different options of noodles listed under Pho Ga. I ordered the Wonton soup with rice noodles which was under the Pho Ga section. The wonton in the soup was ok. Didn't really have much flavor to them. The soup didn't come with any chicken. Really thought it would because it was under the pho ga section. Overall, the broth is clean and tastes good. The egg rolls really good. They had really good flavor and good amount of meat inside. Wanted to try the clay pot plot rice and banh xeo, but both were out. How can it be out if SF supermarket is right next door? I'd like to come back to try more items, hopefully they'll be in stock. New pho spot in the sunrise blvd and Folsom blvd area.. walking in the restaurant is open and inviting but also semi plain because they haven't finished decorating their bar area.. other than that it's a pretty restaurant. The service is awesome.. the waiter and waitress were attentive and took order and brought out our food pretty quick. First time here so we had to try a few items. My son ordered eggrolls and chicken pho with no veggies or toppings. It looked plain but don't let it fool you! I don't usually order chicken pho at restaurants because it's always a ehhhh for me but I tasted his broth and it was great! It was clean tasting and had flavor unlike other pho places.. please don't change anything because I want to come back and try the pho myself next time. The eggrolls had a lot of flavor. And lots of ground meat inside it was a thumbs up for sure. I wanted something homey so I ordered the canh chua shrimp. A Vietnamese dish that family's usually eat for dinner along with some caramelized pork ribs. The soup was delicious. The caramelized ribs had an overwhelming oyster sauce taste so it was just ok for me. My son also wanted to try the salt n pepper ribs and he loved them.. it wasn't overly salted it was flavored well. As I got seated she didn't serve us water right away like every restaurant's do. She gave us water almost at the end of finishing our meal. 2. Our table was dirty and wasn't wiped down and had sauce on there. 3. She's didn't let us know they were out of some items on the menu.( a lot of ingredients were missing) 4. She ordered the wrong dish. Then tells us after giving the wrong dish they don't have what we want. Then blame sf super market for having items out of stock. Owner's job is to make sure they have everything ready or next time let us know before ordering they ran of items. 5. She kept running around like she's in a hurry. (Why are you such in a hurry? Pho only has 2 sizes XS($16) or XL($18), so for $2 more you might as well get the XL, this just marketing. 3. Most main items over $20, not worth it We ordered 1 Pho Dac Biet and 1 Bun Bo Hue. Pho was good but Bun Bo Hue was just ok. Not enough beef flavors on the BBH and $20 for BBH is way too expensive. Prices are way too high for the area. This is Rancho Cordova NOT San Jose or Cupertino for prices to be this high. Even in the Bay Area, some restaurants prices are even cheaper than here. If you are rich then it's ok but we can't afford prices like this. Overall I would give them a 3 stars, not bad but prices needs to be lowered or portions needs to be double to justify the price. Very underwhelming yet extremely expensive pricing lists for a new pho place. The coconut and tempura shrimps were dainty; egg rolls and dumplings look like store-bought. Nothing is exciting in this place. Glad I tried. No recommendation from me. The Pho Fresh branch in Colma St. is 10 x better and affordable. Sorry Pho Tasty, you had your brief chance. Btw, one last critique, the interior design of the place seems mismatched. You have murals and paintings of old China/Vietnam nature, but lighting and furniture are so modern. Got the Bun Bo Hue and I have to say I'm really impressed. Though they're shorthanded with only one waitress the food was really well made. The pig feet was nice and tender and the skin on it looks well cleaned and scrubbed white. I was also very impressed with the pork blood. It's was cooked really well and the texture was perfect. I did ask for some fish sauce because I love spicy and I usually use all my veggies which tends to required a little more fish sauce. But overall I was very impressed. Only complaint is they need to hire more waitresses. Our waitress was pretty attentive but you can tell she was very overworked. read more

I've been waiting for this spot to open for it seemed like forever, so I got in as soon as I could. It looked pretty hip. I had a little trouble communicating with the waiter guy, but we got the order in. They got the chicken over rice done in under 10 minutes, which is pretty darn fast. We have been waiting for this restaurant to open, finally did! The restaurant looks nice, clean and spacious. Typical decor for an Asian restaurant. Server is very friendly and attentive to our requests. We ordered 3 types of pho - vegetarian, beef ribs, and regular beef pho + a side of eggroll. The soups came out hot which is really amazing... that's what most pho places are lacking. We love that it came out hot which means the broth is well cooked and seasoned. The staff seem like young and inexperienced just needing a job. So I've been here a couple of times and tried a few dishes. Overall the food is quite expensive and you get small portions. The flavors are a bit lacking and mild. Seems like it was made for non Asians. I give it 3 stars because the bun bo hue was good and the service was fairly quick. I was waiting for this place to open and hoping to like it because there's not many pho places in the area but it was that great and just okay. I hope it improves as time goes on. It's located in the new SF Market Plaza, which already has a great mix of food options, but this one really stands out. Rancho is definitely growing, and it's awesome to see spots like this serving the community. The food is just as good as the service, both were excellent. The pho is rich, clean, and full of flavor in its own unique way. We stopped in for a quick bite before grocery shopping and ended up really impressed. Not the worst spot I've tried, but definitely room for improvement. I ordered the combo pho, along with chicken wings and fried egg rolls as appetizers. The fried egg rolls were heavy on taro and light on meat, which left them lacking in texture and flavor. They also arrived without the usual accompaniments like lettuce and mint--those small touches really elevate the experience. The salt and pepper chicken wings nailed the seasoning; the salt level was spot-on. That said, the batter could use some potato starch (or similar) for that extra crispy crunch I was hoping for. When the combo beef pho first arrived, the bowl was basically just fat with no broth, definitely not right. Since the place has only been open about a week, I figured it was an honest mistake. What surprised me was when I pointed it out to the server, he insisted everything was correct. The manager stepped in, apologized, and quickly replaced it with a new bowl, which was appreciated. The replacement pho had much clearer broth (a definite plus), but it came with noticeably less meat than the original, and the broth itself lacked that signature beefy aroma and seasoning depth. With a few tweaks to consistency, portioning, and attention to detail, this could be a solid option. For now, though, I'd rather drive a bit farther to Pho Momma, it's worth it for more reliable quality. I'll keep an eye on this new place and might give it another shot down the line. read more

Wife ordered her food directly to the gal at the counter at 5:45PM and then sat at a table. Several families came in after her. At 6:20, my wife noticed the other families received their orders. When she asked the same gal at the counter, she asked my wife if she ever received her order. My wife said no and we walked out. Dropped in to this new Pho Noodle spot last night. Got the Pho Bo (beef broth) with filet mignon option. The broth was rich in flavor and more beefier tasting than other Pho spots in the area. I got the XL bowl which was $18. All the condiments were on the table that you would normally expect to see at a Pho house. The chili sauce, siracha, hoisin sauce, and pickled jalapenos. The restaurant was clean and server was very attentive. First impression was very good. Pho was served nice and hot, flavor was good, quality and freshness was also there. I would recommend you give this place a try. It's very close to where I live so it works out really well for me. read more

Was really excited to see Pho Tasty open up near my home! BANH XEO on the menu woooo!!!! I loved the salt and pepper chicken wings we had as an appetizer. Fried rice has the authentic wok char taste and aroma with every bite. I also got a small pho dac biet. Delicious pho broth! We were stuffed and had leftovers to take home. This Jane girl is crazy as soon as I got in the door the owner offered us water or tea our table were very clean cuz the owner just whipped it down. I was excited to have a pho restaurant in our neighborhood. It turned out to be a big disappointment. I ordered the bun rieu for $20. It was water down chicken broth with no bun rieu taste. It had 3 pieces of small meat. I brought it up to the waiters attention and she mentioned the kitchen mist have forgotten an ingredient. It is definitely not worth the money. My husband ordered the pho Dac biet for $18 and it barely has any meat in there. Do not go there unless you want overprice noodle with little ingredients that are not authentic. The only positive thing I can say about this place is it's new and the waitress is nice. read more
