Walkable distance from my hotel. So glad my coworker suggested this spot. The service was fast and friendly. The coffee was DELICIOUS... BUT THE PASTRIES are the star of this show. The Danish is not like other danishes - there is more fruits compared to the average and they are fresh fruits too! The crunch factor was nice as well - I do recommend the Danish. I also ate a croissant Cajun turkey sandwich. The apply chutney worked so well with the very fresh lettuce, tomato, mayo and turkey. This place excels in fresh food and a cozy dining area. This place was very ok. It was really hot in there. The sandwich was a cold sandwich of cold cuts like the type you'd make at home. I'm surprised they didn't toast it, it would have been helped by toasted fresh bread and melty cheese. Egregiously, in my opinion, they added store bought guacamole to my sandwich instead of avocado. Store bought guac has a very specific flavor that to me, doesn't really taste like avocado, and I don't love it. read more

I love this place. It's warm and welcoming tucked away on Baronne and their bread is just amazing. Super fluffy, rich ciabatta. I always get the veggie sandwich and even though it doesn't have a protein in it, the pesto is rich enough to make up for that. They even give a free cookie with the meal! I highly recommend for lunch in the area. read more

It's small... It's quaint... It's quiet... It's cute... It's clean... It's cozy... It's delicious... What can I say, I'm a fan ! Typically our stays in New Orleans has my wife and I residing within a block or two of tM Breads & Pastries, making it very convenient for me to visit first thing in the morning before my wife gets out of bed. Take note guys, wives love being surprised with breakfast in bed. The owner (very soft spoken and quiet) is very nice; and his shop is very clean. The place is small but has plenty of tables to grab a seat and enjoy your order. The selection is on the small side but the options are excellent. Personally I love their croissant selections, especially the HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT (which I almost always get). I also like the PALMIER, STRUDEL POCKETS and you must try their DANISHES (the little hits of crystalized sugar is so good). My wife (who just noticed I was writing this review) insisted I mentioned how much she has always loved their SCONES and MUFFINS. Also worth noting, I wouldn't get one for breakfast but the CHOCOLATE CROISSANTS are an excellent sweat treat. read more

Ordered: Banana bread, almond croissant, BALT sandwich, and Mocha latte with vanilla simple syrup. Services is fast and nice. Food wise, it was just okay. Probably wouldn't go back. Maybe it's because I had the butt end of the bread but it was super dry, the flavor wasn't that great. The sandwich came with a cookie, however it tastes like that premade cookie dough from most stores. The sandwich looked nice and the bacon was actually these thick slices. Reminded me of smoked pork belly. It was good, though the avocado spread wasn't really there. Felt more like a sauce or dressing than avocado spread. The almond croissant was the best pastry item but still wouldn't really go back for it. Kind of ironic a bakery had mid pastries The drinks seem to be a decent price. The mocha latte is good. If I didn't get simple syrup it probably wouldn't been way too bitter. (As someone who prefers things less sweet) read more

Really hit or miss, the egg and cheese croissant sometimes doesn't have egg in it. The cookies sometimes taste salty as if he baked them on the same pan as something salty. But they are good when you're hungry. I had the chocolate muffin once and it tasted like freezer burn. So again hit or miss read more

We were walking the streets of New Orleans, and we came upon TM and thought it would be a good place to stop for a coffee and snack. What a cool place and great atmosphere. Plenty of seating inside and outside, however it was too cold to sit outside that day. But with many windows, you can still people watch. The food options were well presented, and all looked yummy. Hard to decide what to order, but we decided to each grab a choice and share. My phone had an issue and I lost the food pictures, but trust me...they were yummy. My husband- "Wow. You really like this place." Yup. WOW is right. Came here twice during my 3-day visit to New Orleans. The only reason I didn't come on the 1st day was because they close early! My eyes rolled to the back of my head when I first took a bite of the almond croissant. The last time I felt this strongly about a croissant was in Montreal. I made sure to bring a few pastries back to VA with me. The owner suggested the smokey turkey sandwich if I liked spicy food and it was everything I could want in a sammie. She mentioned the bread was also made fresh. Run. Do not walk. Please come to northern VA! We have bakeries everywhere in DC and most are not as good as TM! read more

I purchased a bacon and cheese quiche from a coffee shop that uses your baked goods. The esthetic of the quiche was great but the quiche itself was underwhelming. The texture was perfect! But for this to be a bacon and cheese quiche there was hardly any bacon and an overwhelming amount of green onion that wasn't chopped well. The flavor of the onion saved the flavor because there was no other flavor due to the lack of bacon. read more

Without a doubt, my favorite bakery in the GNO (Greater New Orleans area). Amazing selection of sweet and savory options, with breads, pastries, sandwiches, and little treats alike. You'll be hard pressed not to please even the pickiest or least adventurous of eaters, and it is downright impossible to order something less than delicious here. Their coffee is also sneakily good, and prices are quite reasonable for the quality and delicacy you are getting. I know I am pushing them hard, but if you are going to trust a stranger on anything, please trust me with this. In theory, I'd like to keep this place all to myself and local so the lines don't become too crazy, but they deserve all of the love and business, especially with how brutal summers can be to the industry here. The location is a little inconspicuous, so you have to pay attention (not just for potholes), but it is there, waiting for you. The blueberry scone, ham & cheese croissant, and strawberry danish are my ol' reliables, and definitely try a seasonal fruit/veggie item if in stock. Order with your eyes (or stomach), tip well, and try something new, the love that goes into this place will be felt in every bite. read more

I didn't take any pictures but the pastries here were fantastic! We got there about 40 minutes before closing and they were almost sold out. I was lucky and landed the last blueberry scone. It melted in my mouth! It was loaded with blueberries! My husband had the monkey bread and he loved it. Next time around we'll get there early so we can see all that's available. read more

TM is a fantastic spot to grab coffee and breakfast! We stayed at the Roosevelt and were pleased to find this spot close by. We had to wait a bit because there were a few groups before us, but once we got to the counter everything came out in a reasonable time. The oat milk latte was very good and I sampled the almond croissant, veggie quiche, and smoked chicken salad. The chicken salad was good and had Granny Smith apples, celery, and nice cubes of chicken. The veggie quiche was really good and had a balance of cheese and egg. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this great spot! It's modern, clean and lovely! read more

Went back three times! First day tried the pecan croissant, pain au chocolat, Turkey & cheese croissant, cherry & cheese danish.. everything was so fresh and delicious we had to go back again this morning! Day 2- ordered the ham & cheese croissant (even better than the Turkey & cheese!), the apple danish, strawberry danish, and blueberry muffin! Nothing disappointed! Lunch Day 3- I had been meaning to try the smoked salmon sandwich with cream cheese, tomatoes and lettuce.. it reminded me of the best salmon sandwiches I used to have from the local French bakery in NJ! My wife had the BALT (bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato) sandwich.. it had a slightly spicy mayo and was so good.. avocado on my BLTs moving forward please! Enjoy! read more

Such a cute bakery. The breads were beyond delicious. When we first walked in we were immediately greeted by who I assumed was the owner of the pastry shop. Despite it being almost 12 pm, they still had a decent selection of pastries but were lacking in breads, but that's understandable since it was later in the day. I ordered the salad and my boyfriend ordered the roast turkey sandwich and they were both sooo delicious! We were debating getting a second round of food but we're too full from the first order. We planned on coming back later in the week but they were sadly closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Well priced, delicious foods, definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a lighter lunch or breakfast spot in the French quarter - but call to see if they're open first! read more

Fantastic local gem, always friendly service. Cajun Turkey sandwich is amazeballs - whoever figured out apple chutney would pull everything together was brilliant. Haven't gone wrong with any sandwich, ham bacon and cheese for instance is also terrific. Every pastry we have had is excellent too - I'd actually just recommend picking what looks most recently out of the oven. One of the best blueberry muffins I've had, monkey bread is great, croissants are on point. Well recommended! read more

Got here around 8:30 in the morning on a weekday. The selection was obviously smaller than normal, but that makes sense because the customer base in the CBD has dwindled significantly during the pandemic. Still, they had several options: 3 different strudels, two different croissants, monkey bread, and some other things that I've since forgotten. I thought that the strudels looked good and got 6 to take back to my office. I think my total was like $24, which seems a bit high, but I'm not super familiar with pastry prices and I know prices of supplies have gone up in the pandemic. My coworkers snapped them up quickly and had only positive things to say, so I think it was a good treat. I hope they make it through the pandemic so I can try all their offerings in the future! read more

I stay at Le Pavillon or NOPSI for almost all my visits to New Orleans and both are right by TM Breads & Patries, so guess where my husband sneaks out to every morning and gets us a lite bite before we start our day. The inside of TM is really simple with distressed, wood tables and chairs and nice succulent plants on each table and the food counter displays so many goodies. A while ago they only had a few items and nowadays they have a much better assortment. The muffins and croissants are great but my husband usually likes to try something different each time he comes and then surprises me. The last visit we got a sweet and savory assortment for us to have on the plane home; ham and swiss croissant sandwich then a chocolate croissant for dessert. Quite good. read more

Coffee good. Chicken salad sandwich good. But what compelled me to write this review was the blueberry scone (that I ate too quickly to take a picture). The poor maligned scone. The dry cousin of a muffin. So dry that the Brits serve theirs with clotted cream. I usually order a muffin. They had a blueberry muffin. But the scone looked so good. And I've been fooled before. Looks don't equal taste. But this one did. If all scones tasted like this, there'd be scones everywhere in this country. I can't wait to go back! read more

Best Breakfast Quiche If you're lucky enough to catch them open this casual spot has amazing hand made pastries and quiche. The owner is there daily doing the baking. I've been a regular at this spot for the last 5 years. They're consistent at what they do. Even the vegetable quiche is outstanding. I don't usually Yelp! But this place deserves to be raved about! Excellent pastries and coffee! I am sadly surprised that this place doesn't have as many reviews as the chicken shop down the way. TM Breads & Pastries is absolutely wonderful and tasty place, it was my first time visiting Louisiana so during my morning walk I happened upon this lovely establishment. The staff is friendly, patient, kind and willing to go above and beyond to help out everyone who stops in. On top of that, the pastries are beyond incredible and very nicely made. The sandwiches other diners had on their plates were large and looked delicious just glancing around at other tables. Everything comes up fast and the atmosphere is . . . just ideally New Orleans. It feels all the way "working CBD lunch" yet unhurried, a reflection of Cochon's greatness but scaled down and with utterly no pretense. There's simply a real sense of both care and expertise in everything done here no matter how simple or complex. The thick cut bacon on the salad was the exact salty touch it needed and the fresh dill was such a fresh touch. The pickle cocktail was delicious! I wish I would have ordered another one! It was slightly sweet, but also salty... SO good! Overall, I would highly recommend Turkey and the Wolf and totally stop by again if I were visiting New Orleans in the future.

I went with an order of the Braised Beef Debris Poboy and this is hands down not just the best Poboy I've ever had in my life, but the best beef or steak any sandwich I've ever had in my life! I wolfed it down so quickly and have to say the pickled green bean and banana peppers with that spike of horseradish sauce really sent this Poboy soaring! The braised beef was absolutely perfect and tender, amazingly so! I can get a bit picky about beef because I hate it when it's tough or gristly or has too much fatty parts that won't melt down, but I didn't have a problem with any of that. I'm no butcher, but seemed like they used a good part of the beef of what's already a fairly quality cow (Louisiana Wagyu Beef I recall reading) or maybe it was the whole braising process, but I wish I could have this for days! I'm going to be sad going back to Houston and not being able to eat this, but hopefully it'll still be around and just as amazing next time I'm back in town.
