What an absolutely lovely small bakery I found! I would highly recommend you try a few items. You can taste the quality. And when you walk in, the smell of yumminess will KNOCK UOU OVER! Great spot!

Charming bakery tucked near the intersection of esplanade and broad. The breads are full of flavor and carry all the signs of high-quality, small batch loaves - pleasant air pockets, perfect spring. The croissants are flaky and properly buttery-moist, and exhibit fine artisanal work in the layers; there are also a variety of croissant types - from plain, to chocolate, pecan, apple, and other seasonal delights (like pumpkin, goat cheese and honey this morning). There are also several other pastries that I look forward to trying soon! It's the kind of bakery that you may go in for just a croissant, and you leave very satisfied and carrying a couple loaves to slice and enjoy at home.

This little place was fantastic. Bagels, pastries, everything was just on point. We had a couple of bagel sandwiches which were excellent. The bagels were crispy toasted on the outside and soft on the inside. The crunch in the outside made the difference in my opinion compared to your traditional bagel sandwich. We have a cookie and a cinnamon sugar type of pastry that was delicious as well. The place has a hipster vibe with a few tables inside. Cool spot which we will be visiting again.

This place had such delicious baked goods and it was located in such a cute neighborhood and part of town I've never been to! Almost everything inside the bakery looked so delicious and it was so hard to choose something to eat because everything looked so good, but that mean's I've got to come back again in the future. They had really cool speciality croissants and I went with the blueberry jam with candied orange and mint and it was great and so much flavor. I also grabbed one of their seasonal speciality sandwiches for lunch (mine had eggplant, spicy mayo sauce, and leafy greens all on sour dough) and it so fulfilling and delicious. Can't wait to stop by again to try other things one day soon!

I'm a sucker for bakeries, especially if they make their own bagels. I tried the loaded sesame bagel & lox, bagel breakfast sandwich and a croissant. The bagel and lox was nicely prepared and fresh, but a little skimpy on the actual lox. Bagel sandwich was decent, but didn't love the texture of the egg. The croissant was nice and flaky. I would definitely recommend this place to those who enjoy fresh baked breads.

Food was AMAZING. Bagel had PLENTY of cream cheese and was slightly burnt (in a good way) and very crispy but still soft. Everyone working here was super sweet and helpful. The focaccia is a lil more firm than most I've had, so if you're looking for a super soft one be warned this isn't it. It is still amazing and tasty, so don't hesitate. The croissant breakfast sandwich (custom made) was fantastic as well. My Ollady had the ham n cheese croissant and she said it was amazing. It's a very simple setup inside but it's not too loud and it's overall pretty chill. This was one of my absolute favorite places while visiting, so don't miss it!!!

Adorable little spot we love to walk too! Amazing croissants and drinks! I had the ham and cheese and my wife had chocolate. They're flaky, packed full of filling and SO BUTTERY! Highly recommend! You can also find them at the Crescent City Farmers Markets.

I always love a good bagel and Leo's Bread delivers. I stopped in here for a quick lunch- bagel and lox. The sandwich is outstanding and I got mine loaded up with all of the goodies like onions and capers. The place is small, but there's outdoor seating and wifi if you want to do some work. My write up on this spot for Mid-City Messenger is here: https://midcitymessenger.com/2021/11/21/leos-bread-a-farmers-market-favorite-now-serving-breakfast-lunch-and-baked-goods-on-bell-street/

Get the veggie bagel with the chili crunch oil...your life will be changed. The service was amazing. The bagels delish. The coffee strong and smooth. The perfect way to start our day in the 'Big Easy'.

Their semolina sesame bread is very tasty. Sourdough is also good. I wish that they could make a thinner crust bread.

Get the veggie bagel. I can't seem to stray. It's spicy but sooo good. And large enough to share (but not a good idea)

I love the bagel and lox! They also make a fabulous ham and cheddar sandwich and there's a great ham and cheddar croissant as well.

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (one being only 2 years old), and because of that they changed our table type from a 4-top to a 5-top and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Meanwhile, multiple tables became available that easily could have accommodated us, but the hostess was determined to keep telling us we had to wait. To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.

There were an array of tables/chairs for dining in/brunch, though many of the visitors took their food and drink to go. That was the plan for me until the unexpected happened. I ordered a savory bun and a Purple Mountain (ube cream on a london fog - incredible and unique). I also ordered a build-your-own breakfast sandwich. The lovely staff member asked if I wanted my egg in the sandwich to be scrambled or sunny side up - casually. I figured that if she gave me this choice, then the egg should at least hold up well in the sandwich if it were sunny side up. I was wrong. When I received the sandwich in the to-go box, it had already been cut in half and the egg yolk was not even remotely solidified. It was extremely messy and liquid and saturated the entire bottom slice of bread. Mind you, someone had cut the sandwich, saw the egg yolk carnage, and thought "this is fine." Maybe it was my own naivete, but that's how I ended up with egg on my face (literally) and eating a deconstructed breakfast sandwich. BUT - it was still extremely delicious. Takeaway: get the breakfast sandwich! Do not get sunny side up egg!

There is also a charming courtyard if you want to soak in some sunshine. I first learned about this bakery when staying at the Hotel Villa Convento across the street. They served their buttery rich croissants as part of their continental breakfast. (I'm not sure if they still do.) Now that I have a house in the Quarter, I take a morning stroll over here to pick up croissants to take home. The butter croissants are a bargain at $3.50. I also love the chocolate & almond (both are $3.95 each), as well as the crisp & flaky Palmiers & delicate Almond Florentines.
