Fatma's is a cozy corner indeed! Located a just south of I10 and north of the French Quarter, Fatma's is a local establishment that seems to drive both tourists and locals alike. We ended up ordering almost everything on the breakfast menu including a variety of coffee drinks and were very pleased. Most of the dishes have a very light feel, indicative of fresh ingredients and relatively light seasoning. It was a good breakfast to counterbalance an otherwise very hearty trip of Cajun food in New Orleans and we felt all the better for it. Everything is counter service and I will say the service is a bit slow in like a local, everyone is working at a happy pace kind of way. The Two Eggs Breakfast pictured was definitely one of the favorite - very flavorful with the egg poached in tomato sauce but still not heavy. My favorite part was a wiser woman sitting in the corner of the restaurant crotcheting something next to a chill cat. Good times for all.

Such an amazing restaurant with the most kind staff. Locally owned with great, quality food. They always have calming jazz music playing. I can't speak highly enough of this place. The ambiance is very cozy and eccentric. Plenty of places to sit and eat both inside and outside. The food was amazing! I got the egg sandwich with sausage and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. The salmon lux bagel was very fresh and the cream cheese was really good. Please go visit this place if you're nearby.

Amazing baklava and chocolate baklava, and my child got her first slice of king cake, and they gave her the baby! Awesome shakshuna too and lovely, living-room cozy kinda vibe. A wonderful morning spot for local dog-watching with the resident cat.

Fatma's is a true hidden gem coffee shop located in the NOLA Treme neighborhood. I love the vibe of this place and service is always outstanding here. It's. true family own business and the food is also great.

They have a delicious breakfast biscuit sandwich here! The vibe is super cozy with a cat sleeping next to a grandma who is knitting near the entrance! Solid iced coffee and hot coffee as well.

Turkish Coffee with a Turkish Delight
    Maya D.

Cozy, cute little place! I felt like I was at home and could just sit there on a nice chilly day and warm up. The Turkish coffee was good, it was our first time trying it. The owner also gave us 1 Turkish delight to eat with the coffee, which was a nice touch. It was my first time having Turkish delight. I've always wondered what it tastes like since Edmund was so willing to give up his siblings and Mr. Tumnus for an endless amount. It wasn't worth giving up my family but it was a nice treat. The cheese danish was good, but tasted commercialized, like from Costco. I was expecting something homemade...it was still good though! Her baklava was very good! That was clearly homemade and much appreciated. The papaya jam we bought from her was so delicious! Make sure buy jam from her. Such a cozy place, will return!

Out of the way and down a little rough street. There is street parking at least. It's on the corner of Ursuline and Robertson. They do charge 3.8% for using a card, which you find out after your card is run through, always punishing plastic card users. Cozy and weathered spot. Converted old house. We ordered the Turkey, cheese, egg and tomato breakfast sandwiches on croissant (comes typically on a biscuit), fattoush salad; oat milk latte and a green hot tea. $45.83. Skip the green tea, doesn't taste very deep in green tea flavors after steeping a while now. Oddly tasted like Lipton tea. Drinks were out quickly. The food takes a bit longer, expect about 25 minutes or more. The oat milk latte is fine, tastes as expected. The first breakfast sandwich came out on biscuits. The staff had to take them back and put them onto croissants. The fattoush salad is good, comes with olives, peppers, feta and parsley too. The salad is quite good. The croissant Turkey breakfast sandwich is tasty. The croissant is buttery. Service is warm, food is good. Not liking the credit card charge much though.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
