So I can only relate my experience here and let it stand for itself. This is a former junior high, turned into a recreation complex. The pool itself is really three pools--one is the kiddie section with a sloped beach entrance and a tower with buckets that fill up and dump out water sporadically. There's a small slide for the wee ones, in the shape of a frog. The kidlets slide down the frog's tongue and giggle and squeal. Then at the other end is the diving area. Two lower diving boards and a high dive. Not so high, but high enough that every so often a kid will get up there and wuss out. I've done it once as a 10-year-old, so no judgments from me. The other pool is the landing area for the waterslides. Two small ones--big enough that there are height restrictions, but not like a waterpark kind of slide. Just enough that the younguns will have something to break up the simple pool bobbing. There are a few lap swim lanes, and there are bleachers on the north side with shade, so I'm guessing there are probably swim meets here? Then you've got one big pavilion with cement and a large umbrella with grass. Pull your chairs in and hunker down. There's also a small area with tables for your snack needs. The facility is nice. The pool is nice. The bathrooms/changing rooms area little nappy--but that's their design. Concrete floor and a trough of dribbles and drips under the urinals. Other than that, the lobby serves its purpose and is indeed air conditioned.

When we got to our first lesson at Aqua Tots, we knew we made the right choice. At only a couple dollars more per lesson, this place seemed like a 5 star luxury resort in comparison. The staff is so friendly. There is a large changing area with separate bathrooms, there are blow dryers available, and also a swim suit drying machine!! The swim suit dryer was very impressive!! They have a very comfortable sitting area for family to sit and watch their child in class without having to sit in a stuffy, hot / humid pool room... Instead, parents can kick back in a comfortable chair in the air conditioning. As a bonus- They offer complimentary water and snacks for the students & parents. We love Aqua Tots! I highly recommend to anyone!

We had our daughter here for only a few months and had a few bad experiences. The reason we ended…read moreup canceling our membership was because of our last session, my almost 5 year old daughter was in her lesson when I looked down for one minute and looked up and she was crying and standing on the step looking at me while the instructor was with another child. I got up right away and ended up walking into the pool area to help her because the instructor was with the other child in her group. The instructor didn't say she saw anything. My daughter cried the whole way home and had a hard time calming down. She never wanted to go again but couldn't tell me what exactly happened. We canceled since we weren't going to force her to go. Well, a month later swim lessons got brought up and she just now told me that she didn't wanna go back to swim lessons because she almost drowned in the water. She said she went under water and couldn't find the wall. I am writing this review now to warn parents please don't take your child here if you are serious about teaching them to swim. It's not worth it and the groups are too big for them to learn anything anyway and the way they just have the other kids sit by the wall while the instructor is with one child at a time just seems unsafe.

I think the common saying of "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" applies here pretty well. "You can give people a job, but you can't make them work." I can't tell you how many times I've walked in and out of this gym while the person at the front desk refuses to a knowledge the existence of anyone other than people that work there. For example, I walked up to the front desk to get some help on getting a new sign in barcode and the person behind the desk takes about 30 seconds to finish up a text which I would have to assume is not work related, then turns her head up just to respond with a very rude "what?" As if I'm doing her some sort of inconvenience of coming into "her" gym. Same applies to the "sales reps" walking around. How many times do you need to walk past weights thrown across the ground or dirty towels lying around before you decide to bend over and do your job. Further proof of this.....look at the sauna. It's had the same pieces of trash and "juice" on the walls for months. Not only is it dirty, but there is a missing piece of framing which now has exposed staples sticking out that cut the back of my leg. Pictures attached. These "trainers" will was right past all the trash and dirty towels like they're too good to pick anything up. I understand that their is someone who's job it is to clean up around the gym, but clearly this person is working part time as nothing gets cleaned. Y'all work at a gym. It's customer service industry. I'm confused as to why some of these people walk around like they're gods gift. Just do your job.

Our pool was recently resurfaced, and we had a dust storm that left a ton of dirt at the bottom of…read morethe pool. Around 11am today, the unions on our backwash assembly broke, rendering the pump and filter inoperable, all while there was quite a bit of remaining dirt from last night in the new pool. The new surface is susceptible to staining and so we couldn't afford to have the pool pump/filter be down for several days. I called many companies and got a hold of Prickly Pools. They advised that their regular distributors were closed for the long weekend, but said they'd call Leslies to see if they could locate the part, and if located could come tomorrow to complete the repair. They ended up locating the part at a Leslies close to our home, so after asking nicely for them to come today, they agreed!! The technician arrived, and advised that we didn't have much pvc left once the broken part was cut off, and that he may have to replumb a lot of additional areas. But, he found a solution using a tool so he didn't have to replumb the additional areas. I appreciated his honesty and creativity in finding a solution that saved me money. I've had a great experience, and it's nice to know that honest, timely and overall great customer service still exists. I was impressed with their offer to call around to Leslies to find the part, agreeing to repair same day at my request, and being honest by coming up with a solution to avoid a more costly replumb. Highly recommend this company!!
