Kevin is such a gem! A few days ago I dropped takeout on myself in the drivers side, it was hot spicy miso soup. The container was cheap and bent open when it fell on me. The burn and smell were traumatizing. This was on Saturday. I took a shower and washed my clothes then tried to scrub my drivers seat with detergent and hot water. Bad idea. I was desperate. I let it sit in the sun and the smell was disgusting the next day. Tuesday, it smelt like Tide laundry detergent mixed with ramen. I wasn't comfortable driving my car with this stench. It put me in a bad mood. I was desperately looking for a car wash in the area that could shampoo my seat but anything I found in Fremont had really bad reviews. I sent a mass message through Yelp to a few detailing services and Kevin was the first one to respond with a reasonable price. One response quoted me up to $700 which was a drive-thru car wash in Campbell and another, which was mobile, quoted me $135 but I had to provide the water hose and some cleaning supplies. Kevin came to my house Wednesday morning. He gave me a heads up he was on his way and called me when he arrived. Kevin's mobile service is fully-equipped. He has a water hose in his car and his own cleaning supplies. I cleared out my car before he arrived and gave him a heads up about me cleaning my seat with detergent and he didn't pass any judgements at all. He looked at it and quoted me a little more because he needed to steam clean my seat a few times to break down the chemicals so the smell could go away. I appreciated him for explaining this. My car is a white pearl 2020 Subaru BRZ. He made it look, feel, and smell new again. He got to my house at around 9:30am and finished at 11:30am. The $235 flat rate includes a foam car wash with wax and interior detailing (shampooing seats, floors, wiping down the dashboard, etc.). My tires were conditioned too. To get the smell out of my car, I paid $275 and tipped him $50. I won't be eating miso soup for a while but I will consider Kevin's service first before going anywhere else. I do want to point out how respectful and charismatic he was to me especially as a female. This can be a valid concern for other women because of their own traumatic experiences. I've gone to a handful of car washes where I get weird looks sometimes and ripped off occasionally for simply trying to get my car cleaned but a bro walks up and gets hooked up for the same service with open arms. Trung was quite responsive and came on time and did the good job of removing mold from my car. However, first of all he bumped up the estimate by $50. Also he let the car floor soaked wet and told me to keep car windows open for few hours but even after 2 days the floor was still quite wet. I called him to dry out one more time but he started blaming that there is something wrong with the car, and I am supposed to fix it myself. I would had been ok if his attitude was right and politely explained his side but I am not willing to accept bad attitude from people who provide services to others. Overall ok job, the dude told me he uses spray on wax that only businesses can purchase. Don't know what that means but I was hoping for wax and buff to protect the paint. So disappointed about that. Owner sent someone very inexperienced to work on my cars detail. Guy worked on it for 2 1/2 hours and called me to let me know it was done... I go outside to see the work and immediately see so many areas that were untouched. I pointed the areas out to the guy and he had no idea what I was talking about and had to use a translator app to communicate with me. He said that he was sorry and he's new to this profession and that I don't have to pay anything. I told him no I'm going to give him some money for work he has done but I was not going to pay the full $215 that was quoted because honestly the half of that I gave him was not even worth that amount. We were not very happy with the service. We had several misunderstandings. I had two cars detailed. One was for a nissian rogue to have interior and exterior detailed that was qouted $215 and the other for just the interior for a tesla model s for $185. I did confirm over the phone and on text about both pricing. He also charged me additional $50 to clean my headlights. He showed up did only the interior for both cars. He said that on yelp I did not select exterior which he was right, but i didnt confirm on text that i listed exterior. I didn't want to argue and left it as that. Ended up paying him a total of $500 with a $50 tip. To be honest I didn't do a detailed examination of the car. Later when we started driving in the car we started noticing a lot of missed items. The seats were not wet, which was unusual because we thought the car was suppose to be shampooed, also the dashboard and windows we still dusty and not cleaned. We did ask him and he said it was not part of the interior package. Also there were still crumbs on the crevas and what looked like dry dirty water streaks on the dash. At the end he did ask what he can do to make it up. All we asked for was $50 refund which was the tip we gave him. We weren't too happy with the service and felt like it was our fault that we misunderstood him. I put 3 stars because he did try to remedy it. read more
