I went in to receive a French tip fill. I am never one to complain, however the gentleman doing my nails did a very poor job. He was very kind, and I could tell he was trying, but every nail they were either uneven, a hair on it, not matching the other nail, or had a smear. I also bled twice from being cut. I asked him to redo each nail after he would ask, and eventually I gave up and left unhappy. I wasn't going to give him a hard time, but it was obvious he was a beginner. I just wish I wasn't charged a full $50 (45 + 5 for French). read more

I stopped in on Sunday morning for an appointment thanks to a recommendation from the mom of the boys I nanny. Lol I actually ran into her at the salon, since she happened to have an appointment with another nail tech! Alex freestyled some adorable Spring nails, Honeybees! I asked for almond shaped, Gel-X nails and the price was fair at $80. Minus having to file some of the sharp tips after my appointment, I'm pretty happy with them! This nail salon is located in a small shopping center. From the looks of its surroundings, some shops have closed. With that said, there is plenty of parking! When you walk in, there's a tablet in the front where you can check in and provide the type of service you want. (They do take walk-ins and appointments as well that you could indicate when checking in on the tablet ) This was my first time, and I guess I looked puzzled so a staff member helped me check in. I was there to get a pedicure and was helped right away. The gentleman that helped me also did my pedicure. When he walked me to my chair, he had me picked from a sturdy book of nails with colors to choose from. The basic pedicure is $35. But since I got gel polish, I added an extra $15. He was very thorough, and gave a great foot massage! I'm bummed out that I forgot to ask for his name, because he did an awesome job! Prices were average, and salon was clean. I just found it a little odd that another gentleman with glasses (who appeared to be a manager, maybe ) asked for payment before I was even done. I'm not sure if it was because they were closing in about 45 minutes, but interestingly enough, the person next to me wasn't ask for payment. Otherwise I would have loved to give this place 5 stars. Update to the owner's response. i don't appreciate having my feelings/pain minimized and being gaslighted. This was not just an "uncomfortable" feeling from first time use. This was PAINFUL. The nail tech obviously didn't know what she was doing. And, from what I've read, electric nail files are fraught with all kinds of problematic issues, with good reason. You should, at the very least, get consent from your customers before using. This was on my toenails too, natural nails. read more

Nina has been doing my nails for three years and I followed her from another shop to this one. She is so good that I drive 20 minutes to see her. I used to have a lot of lifting issues, but that never happens with Nina. I recently switched to natural nails after many many years of acrylics and I love the manicure she does. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she makes sure to look at the nails from your perspective too (not just hers). It's a little thing, but makes a big difference. read more

I just had a pedi this morning. I'm hoping this review will be taken as constructive feedback rather than a snotty complaint. My first impression wasn't great. The salon had a lot of marks on the floors and a door towards the back was mostly covered in what looked like brown finger prints. I don't do gel on my toes so maybe they had more of a gel selection but the regular polish selection was very limited. The technician wasn't talkative which I actually prefer so that was nice, but I have polish on my skin at the tops of almost every nail. Also, I don't believe they are cleaning their tools properly. They aren't coming out of an autoclave and while that's not mandatory, with everything else I noticed with regard to their tools it gave me a bit of an icky feeling. I won't be back unfortunately. read more

**Terrible service. Very rude and disrespectful!! Do not come here if you want to have ill-mannered manicurists doing your nails who only want ur money and who speak the entire time in THEIR language.** My mom and I came here to get our acrylics off since we had it on for over a month for an event and we didn't have a chance to get them removed. I had called beforehand and asked if they had availability. This lady answered and said yes. It was almost about 4pm during the day. When we arrived, they were packed. Every manicurist was with a customer. This man comes and looks at our nails but doesn't greet us. He says something in their language and they all start talking. We are told to sit at a station and that was when it all started... the man was assigned to do my mom's nails and this very negative, moody, pessimistic lady does mine. I greet her and am friendly with her but right off the bat she showed indignation towards doing my nails. She started talking badly about us in their language. Little did they know I understood some. Because our acrylics had been on for over month, it was harder to remove and they wanted to go home. They smirked, laughed and not one of them asked us how we were doing nor engaged us in conversation. The quality of the service was poor. My mom and I didn't say a thing to them bc we wanted to let it pass. Note to this business: it's rude to be talking in a different language in front of customers. Pls have some etiquette. Treat others the way YOU want to be treated, I'm sure you wouldn't want to be treated like this. read more

ZERO STARS : They are doing dirty, unsafe and illegal, nails in this UNclean, unfriendly horrible nail salon. They use METAL razor type devices & electric sanders on customers feet/nails without even asking the customer! They whip out the razor tool quick and fast. This is actually illegal in CA. Licensed manicurists/nail salons are strictly prohibited from using razor-type tools for removing calluses or performing similar procedures. The use of razor blades, credo blades, metal scrapers, or razor grater-type tools to cut or mechanically remove skin is illegal. Look it up. This place is dirty, don't think they clean tools between customers. The floors have so much filthy, cobwebs, and mold on walls too. Nail techs not nice, rude, and before your service is even done demand you pay them now. We upgraded the pedicures, and they lie about what they provide. Each step is rushed, and nail techs are working on multiple customers at same time. Nail polish choice is not yours. Most of nail polish empty and they rudely tell you to choose gel or pick this (their choice) color. Never seen anything like this! There is NO Relaxing experience here. Massage? Ha ha if 15 secs counts- NOPE. Everything so rushed of course nails didn't look great, and in under a week nail polish chipping off. With all this still tipped & nail tech scoffed @ 15% cash tip handed her like it wasn't enough!! Friends and I gave this place a chance but this is a Horrible place. ZERO STARS ZERO STARS read more

Super cute nails aesthetically, but the over all quality of them is poor. I got dip powder nails with extensions and they did not cut down the natural nails much before adding the extensions. The next day the tips were already lifting on several of my nails and food was embedding in the pockets between the extensions and my natural nails. I went to have them fixed and all they offered to do was add more nails glue when that wasn't the problem. They tried to remove the food with the electric file, but were not able to get it all and just added glue on top of the remaining embedded food. Nine days in now and the tips are definitely lifting again, with more lodged food in between my natural nails and the extensions. I had thought it was due to not properly soaking off my original set, but if that's not the case then it's definitely due to not cutting back my natural nails enough. Edit: a few weeks later and I am now having issues with the same finger that they drilled trying to remove the food. She used the electric nail file to hack off the entirety of my real name from under the extension, so much so that it caused pain, before she added glue on top of it. Now it could be a coincidence, but I doubt it... Now my whole nail is starting to lift from my nail bed (of the same finger that had to food caught in the lifting that she hacked off). read more

I came in and a walk-in midday on a Wednesday. They got me right in. I got an acrylic full-set and a gel pedicure. The pedicure was thorough and relaxing, and the service was pleasant. The man that did my nails was not very friendly and seemed very rushed. They were okay in the end, but not quite what I wanted. He was super respectful and very meticulous. He made sure everything was perfect and looked good! It took a little bit of time but I appreciate that he made sure I was happy with the color and design. Best part he never cut me. His name was Tin I believe I don't know if it had something to do with the name change of the salon. I definitely recommend to get your nails or feet done by anyone bc they are all good! I came to the Sparkle Nails as a referral from a friend; it is truly a treat. I have tried giving other nearby places a shot but always end up feeling like I should have just come back here. Most of the technicians here take their time and give a consistently good pedicures. I've been to Taylor 4 times now for my nails and have been very impressed with her work.
