I asked about Cutter's and she said they bought Cutter's last year. She said they always had the number I called, so I'm not sure if the Cutter's number forwarded calls to Assured or not, which would make the statement the lady that answered the phone true, but idk. Anyway, she told me it would be about $130, I believe up to 10 banker's boxes. I said I had the equivalent of 4-5 boxes. She said they could shred up to 10 boxes, so anything less they'll take for the $130. I was used to paying $30-60 with Cutter's, depending on how much shredding I had to do, so this price seemed outrageous to me. The lady on the phone seemed to me a bit snarky, but I could have perceived it that way after she told me the price is still $130ish ($129.XX). A part of me wanted to be sarcastic, but I wasn't. There wasn't any need to ever be sarcastic. I thanked her for her information, but it did not seem reasonable for me to pay so much. I ended up getting a much better deal with a Tempe company with incredible service & pricing and pay for what was being shredded instead of some flat price regardless. I've read a number of the reviews and they seem to like Assured, so maybe the woman that answered my call was having a bad day. idk. But I am missing Cutters.

Assured showed up on schedule, took care of the records of an entire homeowner association we dissolved (20+ years worth of paper) in a matter of minutes. The driver was courteous and detailed. Honestly, I would have paid more if they asked for it. Great service, thank you! Next time I have another giant wad of paper to shred, I'm keeping the number handy.

I am always trying to catch…read morea "Shred day" event in Phoenix surrounding areas in which, there was one being held that I absolutely had to make a visit to. After rushing from picking up breakfast to make it to this event, I ended up being 5 min late but, I ran into the Shred truck driver who was just literally pulling off. The driver was nice enough to stop and accept my bulk. Steve happened to hear me asking the driver if I were too late (in which, the driver seen my tinny bags to Shred, on my back seat, and the driver was nice enough to tell me that he'd pull over to accept them since, I didn't have much). Steve came out to assist with getting my 1 1/2 bag of items shredded for me. I explained to Steve that I was thankful as I had been trying to catch these shredathons and that (although, I'm straight...respectfully) I rushed over after picking up my breakfast in support of Pride Month from an awesome restaurant (I didn't even mention yelp) but, Steve "IMMEDIATELY" asked me, if I by chance, happened to be an "ELITE" (which, surprised me that he'd ask and that he knew about us ELITE yelpers). I was flabbergasted! As we were pouring my recycling into the bin, Steve and I were chatting it up and he then, proceeded to tell me that they LOVED ELITE YELPERS!!! I was absolutely amazed by this acceptance of us, in which, he spoke highly. I recommend that, you guys start shredding your old documents instead of tossing into garbage cans, for safety reasons! ‍ They have locations all around Phoenix surrounding areas and they often have shredding drop off events that are free of charge. I just happened to GOOGLE and found this event. Again, shoutout to STEVE AND THE DRIVER who were extremely awesome humans.I offered to tip but they refused/declined. It never hurts to offer a tip guys. ‍ This location was in a office strip complex which GPS took me directly there, but it threw me off as I was expecting an industrial setting. I had been with the same mobile shredding company for more than a decade, which I normally call…read moreevery 9-15 months. When I called this week, I found out they sold their business a year ago and was bummed. I typically have about two to three 13-gal bags filled. This time it was 2.5 bags. The quote I got from Assured (the company that bought Cutters) gave me a quote of about $130. That's nuts. Reggie from Cutters used to charge me close to $40 or so. I would meet the truck wherever near me on one of their routes. No big deal. And I would see my stuff being shredded. This worked well for over a decade. Assured said they would be happy to help me (at 2-3x the cost). Called some other places and would've went with another company that was willing to work with me, but on the day I wanted shredding and called that company to see if they could fit me in on their route, I didn't get a call back in a timely manner, not until the end of the work day and by that time, I found THIS company, PREMIER, who was willing to work with me. Premier does not have a mobile service that I'm aware of and they are located near the 143 & University, which isn't too far from the engineering place I retired from awhile back. I spoke with Sophia (I think that's her name) and she was very friendly, polite, professional. She gave me instructions that were simple to follow. I drove through the gate and pulled up in the area for Personal Drop off. David (the lead guy) and Mark met me, helped me carry my stuff into the warehouse where they do the shredding. They allowed me to watch the shredding take place, told me how much it would cost me, and asked how I wanted to pay. I paid by my Apple wallet. Shredding happened quickly. David explained to me how the shredding machine works. It was all good and very quick. Yes, I had to drive from Gilbert to Tempe, but it was mostly freeway, so less than 20 min. The price turned out to be better than I expected. I will be back.

When I saw Arizona Center for the Blind Shredding services, I called immediately. I love when I can lay for a service and it benefits people too. First, their prices are VERY reasonable! $15 for up to 100 lbs (at the time we did it). The process is REALLY easy. They unload everything into big tubs, dump it into the shredder hopper and you are done! The only ding on my evaluation was what happens when you are done. Arrows and signage are great going in. But when you are done, it hits you that you have to back out. You HOPE no one has pulled in behind you. Might be good to have a red/green light and also a sign that suggests you back in to unload.

It was so much information that shredding it myself was simply not an option. I looked into purchasing a heavy duty shredder but it was quite apparent early that I would need to spend upwards of $500 to get one that really could chew through gobs of paper at a time. I also didn't want a huge loud dusty machine taking up room in my home office. I emailed ACFTB doc destruction and they immediately returned my call and walked through all of the options. They were professional and started the discussion with their accreditation which was spot on and we quickly determined the best approach. The truck arrived on time and they followed up via phone prior. The gentlemen working the secured bins collected my various boxes and bags and loaded up a huge curb sized garbage bin up to the top. They charge by pound and I had to be well over 100lbs of paper. I just got my receipt and it was $45!!!! What an exceptional deal considering they came to me and loaded the bins. I also like that the service goes toward a good cause. Thanks so much for the awesome service and you will be receiving all of my business in the future.
