Came here on a cold freezing evening and this place makes Korean homemade food. Ordered blood sausage and soup. They were delicious and tasty. Will definitely come back again in the future : )

This authentic and homey Korean restaurant just hits the spot after a long day from their various stews. Our group of 8 stopped by and were taken care of right away. We got multiple trays of banchan with kimchi radish, cabbage, and bean sprouts. I do wish they had a few more banchan offerings, but it was still good as you get huge portions of food here. Half of our table shared the Gamjajungol ($41.19) and Jokbal ($31.92). Both of these were the perfect amount for four people with some leftovers too. The meat was all incredibly tender and flavorful. It was even more delicious as leftovers. I only wished there's a spot like this closer to me.

This is one of my favorite spots for gamjatang!! The location is perfect - right next to King Spa, so you can enjoy a hearty bowl of soup either before or after your relaxation time. Just a heads up that the broth here is definitely spicier than other places! Service is amazing! They refill your banchan without you even having to ask. I especially loved their kimchi banchan, super fresh, perfectly fermented, and packed with that satisfying sour kick.

One of my favorite restaurant to eat when I visit king spa. They have amazing pork and beef here!! The stir fry pork we order is served on a slizzing plate. The pork is so good and I highly recommend. I usually get it in a combo which comes with a soup. I love their Kimichi soup. Super flavorful and spicy. The workers are super friendly and always check up on us. The restaurant is clean and spacious. I can't wait to go back and eat here again.

This cozy spot serves authentic Korean soup rice bowls and it's the only place I go for them. I've been coming here since high school and every time I visit New Jersey, it's my go-to for anything soup based. You have to try it. The kimchi is perfectly fermented and absolutely delicious.

Tosokchon is a no-frills gem where a Korean grandma serves up amazing bubbling soups. My favorite is the soondae (blood sausage) soup--rich and comforting. If you like it spicier, their gamja tang (spicy potato soup) is packed with flavor. It's a great spot for anyone looking to try authentic, home-style Korean dishes. The menu is limited, but the dishes they do serve are iconic and full of heart. Perfect for those who appreciate a traditional, no-fuss dining experience. Note: parking is a little difficult as it is only street parking and is near a popular sauna location.

We came around 7pm on a Saturday night, and we parked a few blocks away and the place wasn't too busy. There were a lot of takeout orders but didn't slow down our food. We got the soondae stew and the 설렁탕. Both were good and hit the spot for someone recovering from a cold. It comes with white rice, although I wonder if you could ask for brown or a different rice. The banchan were fair. They have soondae 볶음 that I'd be curious to try next time.

Always good any day of the week but one of favorite lunch spots. A good hangover food, or to cause another hangover with some bottles of sojus :)

My friends and I were craving soup on a cold day and decided to stop by To Sok Chon. It's in a more discrete spot so I wouldn't have ever imagined to stop by here, but I'm SO GLAD I DID. This restaurant was bustling on a Friday night and most tables were filled. We were seated immediately and given hot teas / waters within a minute as well as the menus. Their menu wasn't too large which actually was a good thing. I ordered the kimchijiggae and jokbal to share with my friends. Both were absolutely delicious. The Jokbal had the perfect balance of sweetness and when eaten with the sauce and kimchi, really hit the spot! My kimchijiggae was also delicious. It had a decent amount of pork and it was exactly what I needed for a cold day. Our food came out super fast, even though our party was on the larger side. The kimchi that came with our banchan was also top tier. I could not stop eating it. I wait to come back!

Very decent place to have authentic Korean soup/rice stew dish. I like this place better over other nearby places! Very tasty soup base and tender meat Also one of the few places that offer Soondae (blood sausage)!! I love the ox bone and knee soup. So good!

A simple spot for classic homestyle/comfort dishes that seems to be popular with locals. Interior decor is pretty basic but it is an open space with lots of tables. Staff is polite and attentive, and the man who I presume to be either a manager or owner prefaced our order by saying that since they have a lot of to-go orders, our food might take a little longer to come out. He said it would be 15-20 minutes. Since that's basically the normal wait time at other restaurants, I can only imagine that when they don't have to-go orders backed up, their service is really fast! Dishes come in large portions. Yangji seolleongtang broth was very light and soothing, with lots of meat and a large serving of smooth noodles. Doenjang jjigae was a more rich and flavorful broth if you're looking for something that's not as mild in taste. Stir fried pork came in a huge portion and the flavor and texture were very tasty and satisfying, although it was a bit on the oily side. The combo is a pretty good deal and you could probably order one combo to share between two people, especially since it comes with two bowls of rice.

Favorite Korean restaurant ever! Best staff. Food came out exceptionally quick and the pricing is so affordable. Come with many friends. This place is best for groups who want to have a family style meal. I have been twice and will be back. I drive 1 hour out of my way just to come here. Street parking is available around the area. The street parking is free from what I have seen. Thank you so much!

My favorite soup place in the area! This place really makes you feel like you are in Korea! I love their homemade kimchi and I love the side of salty fish that you can put on the meats! It gives it such good flavoring! Side street parking only!

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

I really liked the gomtang as the flavors were really rich especially when elevated by the pepper. - Seolleongtang - Clear and beautiful broth that went really well with salt. This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

We decided on this place because rating was pretty good and was open late. It's located in a plaza with Korean market, liquor store, cafe and such. Large parking area available in the plaza. Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out. Service was minimal but adequate. Overall it was very good authentic Korean restaurant that offers solid Korean beef soup.
