Such a boring presentation and taste. Blah, blah, blah...never again!

The food was mediocre at best, especially considering the prices. The biggest disappointment was dessert, which felt like something thrown together at the last minute: a few scoops of ice cream stacked on a plain slice of bread, a few banana slices on the side, some chocolate syrup drizzled over it, and an Oreo or two for decoration. There was nothing creative, refined, or memorable about it. For what they charge, I expected something far more thoughtful and well-executed. Instead, it felt basic, boring, and significantly overpriced. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn't justify the cost, and I left wondering where the value was supposed to be.

Food is really good and fresh. They have unique and wonderful breakfast and lunch choices. I like both a lot. I wish they had table service but the food is worth waiting to order in line for. They do bring your order to your table and then you must bus your own plates and such when you are done. They have many beverage choices too especially all different fancy coffee drinks. It has limited outdoor seating and inside is also not that large and can get loud as it is small and sort of crowded due to the delicuous food. The metal chairs are not too comfortable either so that is why I give a review score of 4. Food is a 5 star. Ambiance i would give a 4. They have delightful desserts to choose from too.

Came here for the first time, as it was on my list of places to check out for a while. First and foremost, I love the surrounding area in Montrose. Its quaint and gives that small, hometown vibe, and the cafe definitely fits in with the neighborhood. The cafe is fairly small and has a couple of waiters/waitresses, but you order before you sit down. I was extremely famished and ended up getting the Pastrami sandwich with an iced Americano. The sandwich was really good; I especially enjoyed the heavy deli mustard they put on the bread to accompany the rich pastrami. The Americano was also great; I think they use Stumptown, as it was the only whole beans I saw that were for sale. I would definitely come back when I am in the area!

Very charming spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is extensive with a mixture of savory/sweet breakfast options as well as sandwiches. I had the eggs and it was very tasty, with a side of bread. Generous on the portions. Service was great, staff with good energy.

Tried this nice cafe on a Saturday morning and ordered a latte and sandwich for dine in with a friend. Even though there was a line in front of us, the wait time was not long, the staff member in the front greeted us warmly as she took our orders. The wait time for both our drinks and sandwiches were roughly about 5-10 minutes which is very fast in my opinion and the servers who brought them out to us were kind and accommodating. There were a lot of seating available both inside and outside, depending on your preference. I ordered the BLT sandwich and really enjoyed every bit of it! The sandwich was just the right amount of crisp with the bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado inside to balance the entirety of the sandwich well. The latte was well made, a good blend of coffee and sweetness to pair well with the sandwich. We even ordered a chocolate chip cookie which was really yummy ~ the gooeyness of the chocolate inside melted well with the crisp outside.

What an awesome experience we had this morning at this beautiful small cafe in Montrose. Before my hair appointment we decided to pop in for some coffee and pastry and to my delight the even had Armenian coffee and panini pressed breakfast sandwiches that were crunchy and soft at the same time. The staff is so helpful and lovely. My son had a freshly baked cinnamon roll and orange juice. We both loved this place and I can't wait to come back for lunch! Everything is clean and organized and truly unique. Thank you for an awesome independently owned coffee shop that's local to us. We will definitely be stopping by again. I had a relatively good experience at this cafe in Montrose. Walking-in, I liked the cozy vibe the cafe offered. A great place to sit and chat with a friend. For drinks, I ordered the Iced Rosewater Latte and it was great! I had to order it because this cafe was heavily influenced by Armenian elements. The espresso in the latte tasted great and mixed well with the rosewater infused milk. I'm not usually a fan of floral tasting things, but this was tasty! It wasn't too strong and it was not too sweet and refreshing. For food, my friend and I shared the biscoff dessert toast and it was disappointing. For around $11, it was just 3 pieces of toast with some biscoff butter, crumbled biscoff cookies, and sliced bananas. This is something a kid can make at home, so it was really overpriced for what it was. The dessert toast itself was meh, it just didn't give a restaurant/cafe quality. Would not recommend unfortunately. Overall, a good experience despite the toast. I would come back just for the drinks and maybe the other food items.

**Rating the experience with a young child** Finally made it to Toasted! I showed my 6 year old this spot on Yelp and he had his heart set on trying the Tutti Frutti toast, so we decided to give it a shot! It does get quite crowded on a weekend, and I think they are walk-in only. You order at the counter and you find a spot to sit, which is always a bit stressful on a weekend. There were lots of spots in the sun, or tables that were on a slant, however we got super lucky and got seating on the shade. I would suggest that the restaurant should invest maybe in a couple more outdoor umbrellas though. I must say, the Tutti Frutti was MUCH better than I expected! I'm definitely glad that we got the scoops of ice cream to go with it, it just added to the fun! My son LOVED this. He said he would give this place a MILLION stars if he could :D I made him some "super" bites on a spoon where I created a concoction using all the bits that it came with (marshmallow, the toast, the Frutti pebbles, ice cream, strawberry) as he took it all in one bite. He was so mesmerized with what was going on in his palate that he just leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and couldn't move lol! It's definitely large and filling, so I would suggest sharing. There are so many more items that I want to try. Will definitely come back for more!

We stumbled upon this place when we were walking around the area. There is plenty of free public parking around. No need to pay for the meters. The lots are 3 hours and the metered parking has a 2 hour limit. Cute little area to wander around too. We ordered the turkey pesto sandwich, large fries, and the simply egg plate. Their bread is so good! Drinks: black iced tea and a sugar free vanilla latte. Everything was delicious! The turkey pesto sandwich was so big I had enough for dinner! They were pretty busy on a Saturday around 11:30am but we found a table inside right when we ordering. They are so incredibly friendly. There is a coded-door restroom for customers as well. They have a self serve water station with your regular hot sauces to grab if you want. We will definitely be going back - Especially, to try the coffee flight!

Came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon with my boyfriend for a quick sit down lunch. There was little to no wait time as it's set up to order, pay, and then sit at a table and wait for our order. We sat at the tables along Honolulu Ave and we people watched in the quiet morning. We ordered lattes and sandwiches. My boyfriend got the caramel latte and after trying a sip of it, I enjoyed it more than my white chocolate mocha latte. Its like I got more coffee flavor with the caramel so that'll be my next order for sure. The white chocolate mocha was good too, but it was a little too sweet for me and almost tasted candylike. I still enjoyed it though. We also got the ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches, but we both substituted the ham for bacon and the sandwich bread for croissant. We were pleasantly surprised at the flakiness of the croissant, the choice of the boiled egg, and the red onions complimenting the whole sandwich. All in all, a really good place to come and eat at.

I was excited to come to this cafe as it seemed to have great reviews and the food looked delicious. Unfortunately that was not my experience. I think the service was fine and the ambiance was enjoyable but other than that everything was mediocre. My friend ordered a biscof dessert and when they brought it out we realized it was really dry toast bread with a little drizzle of biscof and banana on the side. It was more so that it was lacking in flavor and it was very dry. I got the turkey pesto which came out 20 min later than my friend's food. Again it was nothing I would go back for. It seemed as though they were lacking in employees because they were very busy but everyone was waiting for their food.

I found this place on Yelp and did not disappoint. They have different selection of drinks, desserts, and sandwiches. I ordered two toast desserts and Flight Board which was so good. Flight Board has four drinks which you select. You can select coffee or drinks. I chose lavender , orange blossom, matcha, and rose water which were good. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside since it was really cozy and nice decorations. Lady who took my order was nice and friendly. She was patient and explained the flight board drinks. It took about 10 minutes to get our order which is not a problem. P.S they ask the diners to and throw away the trash and not leave it. So not sure what's the point of tipping. There is a sign on the wall.

Honestly, this place deserves 5 stars and more. To start, their matcha latte is the best one I've had in this area. It's smooth and just delicious. Second, their food is sensational. The bread is so fresh and the unique sandwich ingredients just work so well together. Third and most importantly, the staff is just wonderful. I have eaten here twice so far, and it has been a really pleasant, delicious experience. The sandwiches are made with fresh, delicious ingredients. I had the ham, egg and cheese sandwich. The egg is hard boiled, which is a bit unusual, but it makes the sandwich taste fresh, light and not heavy or greasy. The vegetables are bright and fresh. The bread is freaking delicious! I don't even want to give 1 star! They have a phone number with none working voicemail (818-330-9350) I have tried multiple times for the past 2 hours to call to cancel a transaction but not even once anyone picked up. You can't talk to anyone inside store as well, if you have a problem with your order as they can't even talk to anyone they have already charged and is not waiting to pay! $$$ is their priority and not customer service. Basically if you have to ask for refund because your simple food is taking over 30 min to get prepared no one takes the initiative to help. 3 people who heard me ask for refund because we were on time crunch to make it to my daughter's Graduation smiled and walked away! The place is ran by bunch of immature kids. It's always miss and never a hit. They couldn't get it together ever since they opened few years ago. They have a line they always use "lunch time rush" but they never actually staff up to deal with it and simply shrug shoulders that you just have to wait. The place is NOT as busy as they claim. They just have no concept of time management and staffing. Again what would you expect from bunch of immature kids? We had to walk out hoping we can call and get our transaction canceled, but their cellphone has no voicemail (no landline for this business) Unprofessional owners and staff all together. Very disappointing every time. Never going back! Update: Dear Claudine, for the record, just so you know, your cashier responded to me and told me she is bz and she has to help the line and she can't refund me. No other person responded to let me know that the transaction was voided, NO ONE! Your staff did not communicate that with me at all! Which means they don't have the skills needed for basic customer service! And for your snarky comment about taking my time out of my daughters graduation day, my respond is that I had other things to take care of including getting ready and dressed for occasion before we could drive there. And I had plenty of time in the car to write this review or call your phone number of the business that's clearly ignored by you and your staff. I just feel you can improve your business with adding another register and or helpers during your "lunch time rush" as all your workers keep saying it and getting stress about it. It just does not make sense to me to wait over 30 min for a sandwich. You can put more people in the back to make the orders faster than 30 min. If you have more volume than you can handle, instead of commenting to every Yelp with your sarcastic snarky way, maybe you can be more proactive and go to solution than defend your way of doing business that clearly works for you and not the customers. No one should wait for 30 min in a small shop like yours for food preparation. This has been your way of doing business since the get go. You need to go and learn better business management. read more

I absolutely love this place so much. Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing service. The workers are so kind and caring and it's such an enjoyable environment to be in. I come back on a regular basis because it's so worth it. My only little complaint is that the wifi is not the greatest and cuts out sometimes while I try to do work. I can not say enough good things about this place. I have tried four different sandwiches and they were all delightful! SUPER FLAVORFUL! First time visiting this new gem! Instantly greeted by Colleen who was sweet and informational on everything here. The beautiful decor was just the beginning. The lattes were perfectly balanced in taste and my daughter loved the rose water one (I love that it's caffeine free for her). Great place for breakfast and dessert! I wish they were open later because the desserts are incredible! We went with our toddler for our Saturday morning breakfast outing. I decided to share a Ham, Egg, and cheese with my son and my husband ordered Avocado toast. I have to say my 'simple' ham, egg, and cheese was incredible. I didn't expect the flavor explosion at all. My son ate his portion and then some which says a lot about a picky toddler. My husband's avocado toast lacked a little. Maybe some red onions would have done the trick. The coffee was really tasty and I see myself coming back for more. Seating options are outside and inside. The staff was really friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the street view. read more

So excited for this addition to the neighborhood. Amazing coffee (Stumptown) and a great spot for lunch! Their sandwiches are so delicious - we got the feta and the Turkey pesto and enjoyed both so much. We also got a toasted tower, such a fun and unique treat to share with friends. I love this place I'm gonna be here all the time now! The ladies who work there are soooo nice and they actually did my drink the way I asked! Also the crumb cakes Omg they're soooo good and I absolutely love that it's only a hint of sweetness I can't stand sugary pastry. Their lattes are too die for! It has such a rich taste to it! Not only that, but i also had the classic sandwich and it was really great! I'm SO happy that Toasted opened in our small Montrose community! The ambiance is so refreshing and their food is phenomenal. The toast towers are DELICIOUS and so unique! The iced vanilla latte is my favorite but their rose latte is perfect for when I want something a little different. The Turkey pesto and Classic sandwhich were 10/10 delicious. However, my favorite is for sure the Zaatar sandwich. The service is always friendly and the staff are always attentive. This is my new favorite spot in La Crescenta and I highly recommend visiting!!! read more

This place has some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My two favorites are the Turkey pesto and The Classic. The ingredients are so fresh and there is no extra greasiness that weighs you down after. Coffee is also good especially the rosewater. They also have a great authentic Armenian coffee. I am excited to come back to try their deserts but these are the highlight of their menu and look amazing. A great quiet cafe to meet up in especially since the coffee bean and Starbucks in montrose are always filed to the brim. read more

A good way to lose a loyal custome, but here the preferences of the loyal customers apparently don't warrant that much consideration. As for the coffee, it is served in paper cups that quickly dissipate the heat so that by the time you finish a cup, it is ice cold. And they refuse to reheat it. No longer recommend.

Came to this area on a whim and glad I found this place! The overall ambiance was cozy yet lively, with a lot of seating (and a few outlets) available. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I had the pastrami sandwich and peppermint mocha, which were both delicious. The bread was a bit crispy and the sandwich had just enough meat and sauce in it. The egg inside was also a nice touch! I got the mocha less sweet and hot. It was the perfect temperature amount of foam. I was curious to try their rosewater latte as well, so I got that less sweet, and it was a nice blending of floral and espresso taste. I'll definitely try their toasts the next time I'm nearby! After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

They were great taking care of all we need. I love going there for work otherwise. It is remote work friendly with electric outlets, wifi, and quiet especially during day time hours. Personally, I love their mocha and acai bowl for drinks and snacks, and their to-die-for lentil soup, shakshouka, Spaghetti Bolognese, spicy California bowl, pizzas, burgers, and many others. Their service has always been impressive, and the managers there seem attentive to the customers. Great customer service training. A star restaurant on my book.

Arnies Bakery & Cafe offers a huge menu at a very reasonable price. We got zaatar flat bread, cheese flat bread, ajarski, Potato perashki, lemon cake pastry, crème brûlée which was so good. Get it hot, the way it was thoughtfuly designed , and I'm sure it's delightful! This truck is in the office building courtyard off to the right before you pull into the garage on Monterey. There are tables with it umbrellas around for shade in the summer. There is sometimes street parking right in front of the office building on Brand, otherwise the lot for this complex is $1 for every 12 minutes and this stand doesn't validate (tho Equinox does, apparently).
