Good food and good vibes. Food was quick and hot. Our waitress Brianna was very nice and attentive.

Baby idk what the hell was going on with my visit here. The waitress was cool, very nice but she was trying to do superstar waitress activity and she hasn't gotten there yet. Messing up my order left and right and coming back to clarify or cause she forgot what I said! sis...write it down, I promise you it's OK to use a pad! I ordered the toasted yolk coffee, no ma'am, I even sweetened it, no help. I regularly drink this mixup so idk why this wasn't jiving. They took it off and I ordered something cold (maybe the cold brew) and it was better but still not recommendable. My companion loved her Bloody Mary lol so if you like that drink, try it. I can't do it Food - I ordered basic meal, eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash brown casserole and biscuit. Came out with sausage which was ok but not what I ordered. The bacon when it came was good. The restaurant was cool; I'm sure they had no idea it was a group of 5/6 girls in the small ass bathroom doing TikToks smh this generation...but just know you might encounter that crowd, they were respectful though.

Went on a Sunday morning with some friends and was a bit overwhelmed by the menu. It's HUGE which can be intimidating, but also means that the is something for everyone. I got the west coast arnold with a side of hashbrowns. I also go to try some of my friend's french toast, fried banana peppers, and seasonal pancakes. The west coast arnold was exactly what I wanted in terms of a savory breakfast. I loved the cajun turkey and crispy bacon with the creamy avocado and cholula ranch. I was a bit disappointed that the poached eggs were over cooked and essentially boiled, so I did not get the runy/jammy yolk I was looking forward too. (6/10) The hashbrowns were mushy and had a bit too much cheese in them for my liking. I typically like my hash browns crispy so this also missed the mark for me. (4/10) The french toast was just bread with a heap of butter. No cinnamon flavor or the hint of sweetness you'd typically expect. (3/10) The fried banana peppers were exactly what you'd expect. They had a good batter on them that reminded me of calamari rings, but they just had the sourness/ acidity of banana pepper. Did not love them but did not hate them either. (5/10) The seasonal pancakes had two huge pancakes with mascarpone in between and a berry compote on top. The mascarpone was bland and did not add anything to the dish and I did not like how the berry compote was warmer than the pancakes themselves. I will say that this was the best dish in terms of value as the portion they give is much more generous. (4/10) Overall, the ambiance was casual and diner-like and the service was standard. Sadly the food was just not my favorite.

Came here on a Sunday after church with a group of six. They accommodated us quickly and our server was awesome! The food was pretty good, but it could've been seasoned more. It lacked general flavor, but the presentation was great, the restaurant was clean, and overall they accommodated our big group well.

I had never been here before and with only two cars in the parking lot I wasn't even sure they were open. However, on a Tuesday morning in a strip center off the highway it made sense. I was greeted nicely by workers as I walked in and was quickly taken to my table. Just as I was seated the server brought menus and took my coffee order. I ordered the veggie scramble and a side biscuit with the hash brown casserole. First off, WOW! The hash brown casserole was amazing. The scramble was one of the best I've ever had! The biscuit was nice size and a "real" biscuit - not the multi layer kind or the weird kind you get at some fast food chains. I don't know what coffee they serve but it was smooth and dark. I had 2 big mugs! The server was attentive but not overbearing. And other than being chilly inside, the place itself was nice. I'd come here again even if it's not at all near me. I just happened to be driving up the highway and decided to stop. I hope if you decide to stop you have as an amazing experience as I had today. It's definitely been added to one of my go to breakfast places going forward.. even though I will have to make a drive to get here!

we entered the crowded waiting area of the Toasted Yolk on 1488 in Conroe at around 11am on Sunday. while an employee was standing there, no one greeted us and I had no idea what to do... apparently one has to self-sign in to a waiting list... another guest seeing me look lost clued me in to this. We did this and waited at the bar with a coffee til we received the text about out table. the wait wasn't long and we were sat near the swinging door of the kitchen. when the food came out it looked like a heap of slop. My first bite was of the hash brown casserole... barely warm and surprisingmy sweet. Maybe it has a lot of cooked sweet onions in it, I couldn't tell. my second bite was of sausage... not hot, again, and I got a huge piece of gristle that put me off my whole meal.

I was pleasantly surprised with his business. Besides the outside and inside decorations, being beautiful, the servers personalities matched as well! I enjoyed my toasted yolk and the rest of our party enjoyed their food as well. Although, the star of the show was definitely the toasted yelp. The sourdough bread was just excellent. Their card machine did have some issues, but the servers were very informative about the process, which is the only reason for the four star review. I'll definitely be back to enjoy another toasted yolk.

Server was very quick and nice during the whole experience. I've been to one other location and it was very good, this time just didn't hit the spot. We got the Granola Apple French Toast and the Cordon Blu Sandwich. The sandwich was decent but should just be called a Ham Breakfast Sandwich. Just because it has ham doesn't make it a Cordon Blu. The French Toast was average.

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

What I eventually found both surprised and delighted me, and Nate's gets a thumbs up overall. Pictures are deceiving as I thought the place would be larger but it's a tight fit for bigger groups. There are only a handful of tables but plenty of character. It's also a bit grimey, unsightly and even a tinge dodgey, which may be a deal breaker for others but is an immediate appeal to me. Two things immediately standout when it comes to the food: the portions and the prices are outstanding. The offerings are as no frills as the rest of the establishment. The other surprise was how much influence there was from Mexican cuisine. Hash browns were the goal, but chorizo and chilaquiles were the bonus. Another surprise? The hash browns weren't as crispy as I would have wanted. It's entirely plausible that I came on an off day, which happens. However everything else was on point as my chorizo skillet was absolutely dynamite, pancakes were fluffy and indulgent, breakfast tacos were outstanding, and my eggs were perfectly softly scrambled. Even the bacon and sausage patties were delicious, which is a tall order considering it's not likely made in house. Lastly, as someone who drinks cold water like it's a hobby (#1), I'm especially grateful for the massive 32 oz cup of water, which is perfect for someone who drinks like a camel. The staff is not the quickest but they are friendly. Spanish may go further with most and they're not the quickest when it comes to greeting folks or cleaning tables. The food is the star and consider paying in cash. ____________ (#1) I'm thirsty.

Mr. Picky ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp while I opted for Veal Parmigiana, and we each stole a bite from the other's plate. We reached consensus immediately that both dishes were well-seasoned and quite delicious, meaning we would return for more good food in the future. Seriously, we hadn't expected much when walking in and looking around, but were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen's efforts. We finished lunch with an order of homemade bread pudding and tiramisu, the latter of which in 2012 won a chamber of commerce epicurean competition 1st place ribbon. I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding. While the majority of diners were older and a more mature crowd, there's a lot to be said for value, and we thought the menu price was better than reasonable and I think a lot of people will discover this as a value destination, something we all appreciate.
