He has done my brakes, replaced starters/alternators/shocks/engine mounts, literally everything that kept my last car going past 400k miles. Recently, my V6 Accord transmission started slipping and I was devastated I'd have to get a new car. I went in for a simple inspection, 10 Min's into it the owner comes to me with a list of things that need to be repaired. he says "you can pass inspection now, but I would get this checked out within the next month. we can do it here for about 3-400$" I said, sure sure, and went on my way. A few weeks later when I took the car to my regular mechanic I brought up the list of things the owner of the shop had suggested, my mechanic told me "you don't need any of these things now, your cars fine." That was the last time I went there. Now I was lucky but unfortunately my brother was not. He goes in to get a simple break replacement done, he had brought in his own breaks, that was a charge of about $40, not bad. He left without a problem, less than a week goes by and his car all of the sudden just stops in the middle of the road, he takes it back to the same mechanic, because its just too coincidental that less than a week after he gets his breaks changed all of the sudden his car just stops out of nowhere. (2005 Mustang GT with less than 65000 miles on it, regularly maintained, with no previous problems what so ever.) Now they're telling him that the master cylinder has to be replaced, along with a caliper, and that its all going to cost him anywhere from 350-400$ (300$ must be their magic number or something.) We said fine do the work, but we will never be returning for anything! They are scamers, and try to rob people by offering them services they know the customer doesn't need. Its unethical and they do it because they think the customer doesn't know better. Not they way you should run a business, you should be honest with the customers and the customers will continue to come back, but by trying to get a few hundred extra out of a customer during their first visit?! I guess to them its better to make some quick cash now and lose out on a long time customer. I advise people STAY AWAY!! If you must do business there always get a second opinion, because chances are half of what they are telling you, you wont be needing.

It is true that it's difficult to find a very good car mechanic/shop that you can really trust, but when you find one keep him/it. When I need this shop I usually call them ahead of time just to know how busy they are, as soon as I get to their shop I speak to the owner, his name is Sabu. I tell him the problem with my car, leave my name and phone number and he will call me as soon as he finds out the cause of the car problem, we then discuss what is the solution, options and the price. When I agree to the price he starts working on my car. So many times he has been very honest in the cause of the car problem and the solution, he charges fair price for the workmanship that they do and the result of their workmanship has always been excellent. For anybody living in the area, I highly recommend this auto shop for whatever mechanical car problems you have.

The owner is the best to talk to because the manager is not reasonable on price or labor, he quoted me $200 more than other places. I'm still not sure if he even used the part I brought or if he exchanged them for cheaper parts. The manager has no communication skills and comes across rude and unprofessional. It's a shame because the mechanics know their stuff. I think the owner needs to spend more time observing his manager and managing his business himself.
