A few things.. my usual spot was closed so I had to go to my "back up plan" salon, which is this one. Second, i normally don't have any complaints about this salon. However, i felt like they were very rushed and messy today. And their AC seemed to not be working, which i think created a sort of panicked atmosphere. Staff were running all over the place. Sometimes getting to work on me then getting up immediately to help someone else with something. I got a regular pedicure with gel, biogel manicure, and eyebrow waxing. Came to $100. I wasn't quoted for the manicure or waxing, but saw from the menu I was briefly handed that the pedicure was $25. I got the pedicure and manicure at the same time, so unfortunately I didnt realize how messy the pedicure looked till the very end because i was focusing all my energy on trying to make sure i was following their instructions on how to position my feet or hands. I'm not good at relaxing so this takes a lot of concentration for me hahah....... The manicure was okay, but it made me uncomfortable that she stood blocking the natural light coming in, and didnt use a lamp, so i wasnt sure how well she could see what she was doing. Looking at my nails after the fact, they werent really cleaned up. But, theyre good enough. The eyebrow waxing seemed quite hasty and sloppy to me. They look somewhat uneven as well and I'll definitely have to clean them up myself. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed for some 17 years or so at various places, and every place i've gone, they always clean up with tweezers after they wax. This lady didnt do that. She trimmed a bit, then did the wax, then slapped that lotion stuff on there and lowkey got some in my eye. Then she didnt even clean it off (there was so much like just dripping on my face!), and then she bade me goodbye and turned off the light before i even got off the bed. The pedicure though is what really irritated me. The woman doing the pedicure seemed distracted the entire time. She kept watching what the manicurist was doing instead of looking down at what she was doing with my feet. And she didn't do any clean up when clearly there was clean up necessary. And to me, it looks like the color on my left foot is lighter than the right foot. And she put cuticle oil on every toe except my right big one ?? Listen, i understand my toe nails are difficult. I tell everyone to do their best. But normally, people do an excellent job despite the challenges my toenails present. I didn't feel she tried to do her best with me today. She didn't even paint the full nail on three of the toes on my left foot! EDIT: after further inspection, it seems she left six toes half painted, and for the two big toes she painted over my nail onto my skin and left it there. And all of them could definitely use another coat or two. Ps when did nail techs stop asking clients how many coats they want? Also a small detail that rubbed me the wrong way, when I was handed the nail splotches to choose a color, they only handed me one binder and one nail ring, when there were so many other binders and rings just sitting there in the cart they keep the splotches in. I could have asked to see the others, sure, but everyone was running around tending to other things, and it resulted in me not getting the colors I actually wanted (close, but not quite)

Moon is an absolute gem, and very thorough. Everyone is extremely talented at Today's Nail Spa. I love the BioGel formula and it keeps my nails really strong and healthy. It's an upbeat atmosphere and everyone is super friendly. The salon is always clean and their equipment is top notch! I recommend the #4 Pedi for ultimate relaxation. If you pay cash they give you a sweet discount too!

This sail salon NEVER disappoints. I was an avid fan of Emma, but since Emma's departure, I've had Jenny do my nails. And let me tell you, just wow!! She is so attentive to details. As a previous nail biter any gap is a window for me to pick in my nails. I told Jenny that once and she ALWAYS makes sure there's absolutely no gaps in acrylic nor color. She's just fabulous. I also want to add for pedicures ask for Moon. She knows exactly what she's doing. Pedicures are on point and makes sure you walk away happy. A plus, her massages are heavenly. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed!

I have been going here regularly for over a year for acrylics, but will find a new salon (Of which there are so many to choose from) after today's visit. While I appreciated the meticulous work of Emma & her co-worker Jenny, the business manager is really off the mark in terms of customer care/retention. The lady who referred me to them has since found another shop as well, based on her experience here. Today's charge was $3 more than expected. This was not a huge deal, but I didn't know why. They had sometimes charged for lifted nails on my regular visits, so my bill was often more than expected. When I asked if I could see the price sheet for services (it's not posted, like in other salons), John was rattled & defensive, & I was even told that they waived the additional charge for long nails -please see attached picture of my 'long' nails! Although I politely left in acceptance, he followed me out to my car, rapped on my window to continue his rant, & I got a bullying, rude text message as well, that stated I can expect prices to go up more?! All this for ASKING. If you don't mind paying whatever they decide to charge you, ask for Emma. Last minute appointment, was called a few minutes before my appointment, didn't have to wait at all. Excellent customer service, new pedicure kit, sanitized tools and perfect replication of the flowers I asked for. Was in and out within an hour. I have found the best Nail Salon in Simi Valley. Been looking for over two years. Will most definitely return in a couple of weeks. read more

Pros: accomodating for last minute appointments, friendly staff, fast service. Cons: limited color selection. I wanted a chrome pearl, they didn't have any chrome colors. I was underwhelmed by their color selection which was disappointing after seeing all the pictures. read more

I am here right now getting a gel pedicure and let me just say this GREAT service I saw her open all the packages of files and equipment new and sanitized , which is something you don't really see in nail salons in my opinion. She kept checking on me for everything , making sure she wasn't scrubbing to hard and just making sure the water wasn't too hot to ensure I was having a good experience. And I did ! I will totally recommend this salon to anyone read more

Jenny did my nails today. They were gel x (coffin shape/ medium length) French ombré with chrome powder on top. Jenny was lovely she is very friendly and took her time to make sure they were perfect. I have only been here twice, and both times have been amazing. Emma is the nail tech that has done my acrylic sets. Her artworks is outstanding and all done by hand. If you have a fancy design you want on your nails, she's your gal. I have come in with broken and chipped nails and she was able to make them look brand new! I have been doing acrylics for a while now in at least 15 different salons and she is by far the best nail tech I've ever had. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. They also have a points program that can get you a little money off the service if you are a regular customer. read more

I originally had a bad experience at this salon. After seeing a message that the nail salons was under new management, I decided to go in and give it another shot because it's so close to my house. Nice little place in Target Center, Cochran Street. Very, very clean. Everyone was extremely nice, pedi massages are on timer so you know you got the full treatment. I have to say that Jenny is pretty good doing Gel-X nails, but the customer service in that place is the worst ever, for example I had an appointment at 6:45pm and get a call at 5:30pm (same day) saying she has to cancel because her client came late and she is not going to be able to take me.. So apparently if you complain about the shape of your Nails, Jenny gets scared and nerves and does not want to do your Nails anymore... I've been to this place 3 times. The last time I was there I was not happy with the the shape of my nails so I decided to take my acrylics off once they were grown out to give them a break. And, I'm so glad I did. To my surprise two of my nails have green spots. I have bacteria/fungus growing. I get my nails done all the time and this has never happened any where else. They are not sanitary with the tools they use, they use a towel under while you're getting your nails done and then just turn it around. Hope the establishment sees this and makes changes, better hygiene. read more

Been to this spa before with the coupon below. This time I walked in the young guy said it would cost more to take off polish. The funny thing is it was their polish because that was the last nail salon I went to. Horrible customer service. I walked out not because I couldn't pay more but because it's false advertising and wrong. read more

Kelly did wonderful job on my toes and took the time to make sure I had no ingrown toenail's nails ! I've gone to many nails places and keep going back here because the make sure to do quality acrylic nails. They go to the cuticle, they are sanitary, and they are nice! I don't really feel welcome in this salon, the gentlemen seemed ill as he was coughing (he was wearing a mask) and left after my manicure without saying goodbye. The water was also cold, and I don't think the brush's bristles at the bottom that's attached to the handle didn't look very clean. It's just okay for a quick stop, but I will try and find a more friendly nail salon.

With Gel X you can't use too much glue or it creates space for water and dirt to get in and makes the nails pop off easily. I asked him for extra short almond, these are way longer than I wanted and i don't like the way he shaped them. Never coming back here again. So disappointed

I went to the front to pay and asked the guy at the front desk (who is always pushy and not the most welcoming) why I was being charged different prices in which he responded it's $62 always for bio gel with or without color. So now, no one is on the same page and I've been told 3 different prices. Annoyed is an understatement. On top of this, the workers sit in the booths while they have no clients with their shoes off and dirty feet propped up on the benches which is not only gross, but super unprofessional. It's a shame the place is tan this way, it's a huge turnoff. Especially being treated like you're in the wrong when none of them are on the same page. I looked at the reviews and I feel better knowing it wasn't only me that saw the issues here. Won't be going back anymore.

I wont go anywhere else!! My whole family has been going here for 6+ years! i always recieve the best customer service. I love tina, i always make an apt for her. im ALWAYS late but she takes care of me regardless, even if it means staying past close. Oh and i love to get wild with my acrylic, she gives me her honest opinion and help me pick out the best colors. Love how the nails are thin, not thick and heavy. Tina ROCKS! As for pedicures, i go to anyone available and they always do a great job. i love that they take the extra time to remove all the dead skin. i leave with my feel feeling amazing! read more

It's been my experience that many other nail people don't want to work on natural nails and try endlessly selling the gels .
