Im from the East Bay and I come up every other weekend to see my boo. I haven't gotten a pedicure in a very long time. After spending the morning looking at reviews Today's Nails was the one with best reviews. Their yelp isnt exactly impressive but all thr other salons have mediocre to bad reviews. Cleanliness is huge! The space is very pretty, CLEAN, tidy, smells good, I was greeted at the door, complientary drinks and very pretty. My pedicure was amazing. The water was nice and hot. The lady who worked on me gave me the most bomb massage. I have a nail that grows weird and she rocked/shaped it out. I was surprised to learn theyve only been open for about 3 months and with all these amazing reviews already?! Deng! I really hope they keep it up. This is my spot in Santa Rosa. Tip for those who aren't familiar with the area, 4th street is closed and you want to park elsewhere. Parking is right behind their main entrance for a few dollars. I have passed by the nail salon many times the only reason I didn't go there in the past was because of the issue with the downtown parking and the meters only going for certain amount of time, now that we have a little extra parking it's not as bad in Santa Rosa, I went on a Sunday because parking is free and that's the honest truth I've stop using a lot of businesses because it was getting expensive to Uber back-and-forth! I've also got a few parking tickets from coming out of an appointment and my meter going over and not being allowed to re-feed the meter after a certain amount of time! Parking issues aside I have been looking for a new salon to get my manicures and pedicures as I no longer do acrylic or gel just natural nails, I went with my daughter and her best friend the three of us made an appointment even though I got there early it was at least 30 minutes past my appointment time before they got me in. Manicure was beyond basic and pedicure too -no real massage involved just basically soaking my feet in pretty cold water and painting my toenails . The cost was $40 plus a 15% tip, it was very clean and smelled great and they had lots of colors of polish to choose from which is also a plus, they don't have some blaring TV or word music blaring which is also a plus but You should be engaging with your customers I don't like it when you sit down to get a Manucure & pedicure and the person doesn't even tell you what their name is! This was my very first visit and they could have made an effort to ensure that I would become a return client who obviously knows a lot of people and can refer business. Can I be picky? Yes I can I am a former cosmetologist I know what they're supposed to do and what the techniques are and what tools should be used and how things should be sterilized I was a brand new customer and would be going there every month if I had good customer service. My nails started shipping the day after I got home and by Wednesday they are looking pretty ragged. My pedicure is still great. Obviously they didn't use a really good topcoat and make sure the edges were sealed I'm super disappointed I was hoping this would become my local nail spa ! read more

Very poor customer service! Sad cause i loved location thought Yen appreciated my business? boy was i wrong. I had been going to Yens Salon for 1 -1/2 yrs or so. it more expensive then some others but it was convenient clean. I likes being able to get designs and thought they appreciated my business and i always tipped very well. I went in one day and the person who usually did my nails wasn't in. i often will take a break from work to go get nails done i work two jobs. This day something came up last minute and i needed to fill in to do a conference call but it didn't require me to participate just listen so instead of canceling i decided i would go and use my teams on phone with headset. no big right. Well there was new person doing my nails i picked a design off the nail samples one i often got. As she was doing my nails i was listening to my conference. Minding my business not talking at all just listening every so often had to touch phone to see someone speaking but they only do one hand at a time right ? As she was almost done and as i was switching hands i noticed the ombre was in different order upside down so i said wait this is wrong . She said no it what u chose. Yen is right next to me (Yen is owner) i said i don't want it this way the girl went got the nail board said see i said that is upside down she argued with me that it wasn't i said so u telling me the writing at top is upside down ? She then said u should have said something earlier the whole tim Yen just sitting there then says well you should not be in your phone i could not believe it. I said whatever not going argue with you i dont have time for this. Every time i went there i was very pleasant and generous most of all appreciative i even got two friends to change. i never left that salon for less than 150.00 at least for pedi Mani and brows i always tipped way beyond 20%. I dont ever mind spending extra for quality and again thought yen appreciated my business. That day i went home crying i don't need to spend my hard earned money to feel line that. I work so much it the one thing i spend on self. I got home and really felt horrible i thought at least Yen would call or text after and apologize we often text back and fourth i liked her. i guess that why it hurt but she didn't care never a word. I have found another place just as good they are a dime a dozen of course but it is not as convenient location but is better price and i now cant go with my girl friend cause i refuse to be disrespected and pay for it! I love this Salon! If I could give 6 stars, if possible! It is very very clean and everyone is very friendly! Yen is my Nail specialist! She is very talented and keeps up with the new nail trends. I usually get pink and white classic nails in square. I have also seen her stiletto nails which are quite amazing! I just can't function with nails that length! I followed Yen from Passion Nails in Windsor. I was concerned about finding parking in Downtown Santa Rosa-Not an issue! I have been to the salon at various times during the day and I always find parking. There is a lot behind the salon on 5th street and I have always found parking out front! Tracy is my pedicurist! She spends a lot of time snipping off dry skin, getting sock fuzz out of my toenails and the massage is outstanding! Her eye for detail is on point and her polish is flawless! I love this salon! If you do not mind waiting for one hour or more, in spite of having an appointment set two weeks previously, then this is the salon for you. As you can probably guess, the above happened to me. I was at the salon, five minutes in advance for my set appointment, and my nail tech, Yen, did not even acknowledge my presence as I sat five feet away waiting for her to finish the nails of a walk-in customer. For one whole hour, I waited. I got up, walked out, and will not return. Pros about the salon: nicely decorated, smells good, clean premises. My nails, crafted by Yen, were done well. I want to start out by saying that the inside of the salon is SUPER cute! There are mirrors on the ceiling and on the walls and even though it's not the biggest space, they have managed to decorate it so beautifully. I made an appointment and went in a couple of days ago, and even though my nails were a hot mess because of the gel coating it had, the manicurist did a nice job removing them. But I will say that she and the other associate kept trying to tell me that I had my fingers dipped in powder, when I know my manicurist that typically does my nails puts a gel coating on them. I didn't quite appreciate them continuously telling me this but I was polite and tried explained to them what it was. Anyways, back to my experience and why I took one star off. The woman who did my nails did a nice job overall and charged me very decently for all the work that she had to do. And I appreciated that more than anything. But I did notice that my nails are already falling apart and my nails are chipping, which tells me that she didn't coat it enough with a nail protectant. I definitely want to go back to experience a pedicure with them as I'm looking for a good place that does it, so we shall see! read more

They do such a good job here. I'm very impressed by their talent and work ethic. This is one of those places that I feel is worth your time and money. I would definitely recommend this nail salon to anyone who likes to get their nails done. The pedicures are also good and they keep everything sanitized and clean. I am still going to Today's Nails. This is my happy place these days. I have followed Yen for years. The service is excellent and her talent and artistry goes without saying. She is masterful at designing your nails to fit your preference and personality. My gel pedicures are relaxing and I enjoy my massage while sitting in the comfortable chairs. They have an abundance of gel colors to choose from. The salon is very clean and features other services. I love the flexibility of their hours but I make appointments to guarantee the best time for me. Everyone is so polite and they want you to have the best experience for whatever service fits your style. If you are looking to be pampered and relax, give this salon a try. I moved relatively recently from the East Coast and I had my designated nail tech back home who used to do SNS nails (without the UV light) and who knew how to do all sorts of fun designs. He was gentle and had me done in one hour. I get really bad anxiety when it comes to new places doing my cuticles, but he trimmed them nicely without any nicks. I'm very (v e r y) particular about my nail shape, and my nails look great. Ty also took the time to fix a broken nail that I had, and you'd never know which one was broken, as he fixed it so well. I am so sad for my daughter's first ever mani-pedi experience. My friend called ahead of time and booked 4 mani/pedi(s). There were 2 adults & 2 little girls. My friend's daughter was seated across the salon from us, (at the manicure stations) while the other 3 of us were led to the pedicure chairs. The ladies sat my daughter next to me at the pedi station (so she wouldn't be nervous) even though she wanted to sit in the princess butterfly pedicure chair. (The adults could easily have been moved next to the kid's chair.) No water touched my daughter's hands or feet. So, her finger polish started coming off within hours. I payed 35+tip for a 4yr old to have her nails improperly painted. Now that we have had time to think about it, this cost way too much. While we are at it, our pedicure water was room temperature at best :( After the first nail's first coat, I said it was too light. They said wait until the last coat and kept going. Guess who I stuck wit fluorescent nails? This is seriously awkward. read more
