This is the phone number for the Verde Valley Appliance company that my mom called to service a washing machine. She said it stop in a wash load, and left water in the machine when it was done. She reset the machine and it drained. The tech came out and spent 20 to 30 minutes doing something. He told her the lid latch switch was bad, and because of that he couldn't do any further troubleshooting. This switch would have to be replaced at a cost of $260 after a $20 Senior discount, before they could find out why it supposedly didn't drain. The switches sell for $59 on amazon. Because I suspected this diagnosis was incorrect I did my own diagnoses. I'm an electronics engineer with 35+ year's of experience. After 3 complete cycles I could find nothing wrong with any part of the machine. The lid latch came on as designed just before the wash cycle began, and when I attempted to open it the machine did sense the switch losing contact, which shut off the machine for a moment. This is a normal condition, and verification that the system is recognizing the switch correctly. This diagnosis requires waiting for the machine to cycle, and it could not be done in the half hour time he spent. The machine is less than 5 years old and very basic, but the controllers are digital, so you can't dial a knob to select or change modes. It appears obvious to me that these people didn't test anything, and they were likely going to come back and say more repairs would be required. The machine was only about $500, so another repair would end up costing more than a replacement machine in total. Take my advice and find someone else. read more

I called Verde Vallley Wednesday and reciieve a call back later that day to tell me the repairman would be there the next day between 12 and 3. He arrived at 1:30 on Thursday and checked out my dryer. He went out to his truck found the ;part that was needed and installed it. Checked the dryer out and was done in an hour. Beware! This appliance repair company will try to rip you off! I had a ice maker issue that Todd's quoted a cost of $290 to repair. The estimate was for parts and labor. In researching the cost of the water valve online I found I could buy a factory built replacement for $58.50. I looked on YouTube, I found a video that revealed the labor time to replace the valve was 20 mins! HELLO!!!! I spoke to TJ at the company who explained to me they use a flat rate guide and the price they quoted me was a discount from the guide! I expressed my concern that charging $290 for a $58 part and 20 mins labor was bordering on a flat out rip off. He suggested that I could order the part and find someone else to install it. I did not tell him that I already ordered and installed the part on Monday evening. After adding Todd's $80 initial charge to diagnose the ice maker my total cost was $138.48, far less than the $290 Todd's quoted me. I told TJ that I would share my experiences on every social media and review site I could find Todd's listed on. He said he was sticking with the estimate, what do you want to do? Todd's Appliance, first contact was walking into his store, after cancelling washer & dryer from home depot for numerous reasons. Without a washer/dryer for 3 weeks was frustrating! Todd himself, helped us go over all different brands they carry, helped us decide on a great set, and they were actually available for delivery and install within hours of the same day!! I have a home plan with american home shield. I placed a service request and got an email within 30 seconds telling me that Todds Appliance would be managing the repair. I called Todds appliance and was told that the repair would be scheduled next week ie in over 5 days .I asked when i would know the appointment date and time and they said they would take my number and get back to me tomorrow or at some other time . I explained that i needed to schedule time off of work so i needed to know the details but that didn't matter. Obviously this company dont need or want the work. They make you wait for simple requests like what day and time they are arriving.Its very strange. I called AHS and they gave me a different company to use. I contracted with Todds Appliance to buy a radiant heat stove top mid-November. Gave them a $1,000.00 deposit and they told me delivery would be 10 days to two weeks. I waited a week and called them for an update and they told me another five days. I called Spencer's appliance in Phoenix and they had the same product for $400 less and could deliver the very next day. I said okay, do it. I called Todds and canceled my order and requested my check back. They said they would put a refund in the mail for me the next day. Today is January 3 and still no refund. When I talked with them on the phone, false promises. I went to their store today to see them in person only to find that they had removed all the merchandise and closed the doors! I have an American Home Shield Plan (AHS) and have been referred several times to Todd's Appliance with very mixed results. The 1 star is really a ZERO as I have been working with this company since JULY 1st to get my Subzero refrigerator fixed. TJ at the company is rude and unfamiliar with the way to work with AHS. Todd's did not prepare the request for authorization form correctly (as I found out by contacting AHS directly). The authorization could not be issued due to missing critical information. I tried to have a conference call set up to straighten things out and TJ informed the AHS rep that he was too busy to participate and that they needed to locate a different repair company to handle my job. I then received a telephone call from TJ informing me that he had placed me on the Do Not Service list. I would not recommend this company because they are so inconsistent in how they handle their business. I had my washing machine fixed and they were totally professional. My dishwasher (several years ago) and now refrigerator repairs were not handled well. I had to have Miele service my dishwasher which was a simple valve change and now have to have a different company repair my refrigerator. You would be better off dealing with a company that offers professional and consistent service. read more

I highly recommend this company! As a newcomer to the area I've been dismayed at service companies that don't return phone calls, along with those that simply show no interest in working. Based on a friends recommendation I called Todd's. Someone answered the phone like a professional, scheduled a next day appointment and promised a call to confirm time which he followed through on. Their tech showed up as scheduled. He was polite, professional and went right to work. He assessed the problem, explained what the cost would be to repair and agreed with me that the money was better spent on a new unit. Not only that, he gave me some tips as to not only reputable manufacturers, but also how to tell who actually manufactured the machine. Todd's appliance is terrific! TJ on the phone was very helpful. Todd came to my home and repaired a Dacor bbq grill. It required a lot of parts and service. He is so knowledgeable and kind. LG had them come out to repair our 1 month old refrigerator - on warranty. The refrigerator actually worked fine. The compressor was just a little too loud.It took 1 month to get the part to be replaced. Once they finally showed up, the tech did not have proper soldering equipment. After trying to make it work with the wrong equipment (what?!? It would have been fixed wrong and caused more problems in the future!?!) , the tech finally called his shop to have someone bring the proper tools needed. WELL, He had caused so much damage trying to make do with what he had on his truck that he had burn marks all over the back of my brand new refrigerator. And the best part??? Before he came to fix my fridge, I had a working refrigerator...the compressor was just a little bit loud. After he left, I had a burnt refrigerator on the back, and a refrigerator that no longer worked!! I was without refrigerator for three weeks while LG had to come up with a plan because the tech had ruined the compressor, the condenser, from so much damage that he had done. I tried to call Todds Appliance several times the next day AND the next, left messages and they NEVER called me back. Bad things happen. Accidents happen. I wasn't mad until they never returned my phone call. LG had to find a different company to come out and fix the problem. This was one of the biggest flops of a service company I have ever dealt with. Use ProAppliance in Prescott. They were fantastic at cleaning up Todds appliance mess. what took Todds appliance 5 hours to "fix" my fridge took ProAppliance 1.5 hour ( including repairing what Todds appliance had done!) The "mother board" on my 5-month-old dryer purchased from Todd's Appliance failed. In fairness, when I purchased the dryer they installed it the next day and the repairman came in 2 days when it failed. From then on the service and parts departments have been rude and not the least bit concerned to fix it in a timely manner. They said the part would arrive in 3-5 days and when I called about it the parts person was defensive and argumentative, actually yelling at me. The part took 2 weeks to arrive and no one called to update me. I left a key for them and asked that it be installed asap, and the service schedulers were lackadaisical about it and did not schedule service until 3 days after it arrived. It took 12 minutes to install. Don't you think they could have had the service person zip by to install it sooner? I suspect they don't have an adequate service staff. I originally would have given these guys a 5 star. Glad I did not. They repaired my LG Refrigerator in a timely manner. Although they did take more then a week to return my call for the warranty repair work. The refrigerator went out again not Todd's fault. Here lies the1 star. LG gave me another Case Number to give to Todd's so they can do the work. I called LVM and never heard back. After 4 days I called again. They actually answered. The lady said they didn't return my call because they no longer do warranty repair work for LG. REALLY... Todd a curiosity call would have been nice since my refrigerator is out. My husband saw their shop and decided to check them out. We got a good deal on a great set and we're out of there in 20 minutes. After having worked with Todd's on two appliance servicing issues, I decided to buy a new gas range and microwave from them, rather than a big box store. Jenn was great in emailing me detailed specs with photos. Once I settled on the model I wanted, she gave me a very fair price and kept me informed as to when they would be in and ready for installation. Once our schedules meshed for installation, the whole process of removing the old range and micro and installing the new one was painless. They showed up within the stated time window and professionally installed the units, even cleaning up all the old gunk behind and underneath. They left my kitchen spotless and were on their way. My experience to get Todd's Appliance to make a time commitment to come and fix my clothes dryer was upsetting. Upsetting because they make a time commitment and not come thru. I became so upset with them not following thru with time commitments I dropped them and selected a different appliance repair shop. Thank you to Todd's Appliance, Todd and staff. During our kitchen re-do we had them quote on a for cooktop, oven, warming oven, microwave, dishwasher and hood. They outpriced others, quoted an acceptable delivery time, and installed all appliances without a hitch. They were able to receive all products from the manufacturers, store them until we were ready for installation and kept us apprised of all items as they were received at their facility. The entire experience was painless. I highly recommend this family owned and operated appliance store. As a side note, I used them a couple of years before for a washing machine repair, which I caused the problem. They were able to promptly assist and correct. They have the worst customer service. We had a warranty through GE and they were supposed to come fix our appliance that wasn't even 4 weeks old. After over a month and many calls speaking to representatives of Todd's there was still no attempt to fix our appliance. We finally called GE requesting a different company to help with our appliance. read more

We recently had a recurrence of an issue with our 2 1/2 year old LG refrigerator and, after working out warranty issues with LG, Todd and his wife, Jen, also in contact with LG, were able to get all the parts and did a great job of getting the refrigerator back up and running.
