Italian-Mexican fusion in EG. Location: In a quiet sleepy part of EG is a shopping center with a restaurant that bears the name Todo Un Poco. To be honest this place can be easy to miss and from the outside it is difficult to see the interior but don't let that fool you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One annoying nitpick is that there seemed to be a couple gnats or fruit flies around us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Vibe: [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is quite a unique vibe and walking into the restaurant was like walking into a different part of town. The restaurant uses thick blackout curtains and once you are inside you feel like you are in a different environment. The restaurant is low light with little lights at each table and large murals across all the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The building is quite big but the restaurant seems to just a part of the business. Service: our server was awesome. Attentive, friendly and always quick to make sure our waters were filled and checking on us. Food: This is where we had some issues. I really like the fusion idea but something like this is hard to pull off. To be honest the carnitas were not my favorite lacking the flavor and drenched in what seemed like oil. The deviled eggs were not really deviled eggs but hard boiled with carnitas and various accoutrement but the pickled onions while great made the dish extremely wet. Similarly the dishes we ordered the Cheese Ravoli with Carnitas and the pasta Jalisco had many clashing elements. The food was decent but there seemed to be a lack of flavor which was hard to place. Highlights include our cocktails which were very well made and the delicious dessert. We had a Fried plantains with banana bread and ice cream. This was quite a delicious dish and really ended the night positively. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place left me with some question marks and made me wonder if this concepts really works. So issues with cleanliness is something that is in the back of my mind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Likely will give this place another try.

Pisco Sour

It's been a while since we last ate here, and we're going to make sure that changes, as they're such as delicious as we remembered from the first time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is honestly one of the more unique in Sacramento[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]See if you can peek the painting on the wall that shows a "dead" version of the interior![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is ranges from classic Mexican, to full fusion Mexican-Italian, and it's so good that it makes me wonder why there aren't more restaurants like this out there. the mole was rich and filling, and the cilantro chicken spaghetti was like a Mexican pesto. The deviled eggs weren't actually deviled, which was odd, but the toppings on them were still incredible. Drinks were tasty, with the best Pisco Sour I've had in Sac! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This really is the perfect little date night spot for some great vibes and unique fusion dishes![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

One of my favorite spots for the last 20+ years I have yet to be disappointed. Located in a small business center area, there is plenty of parking. You have your choice of Italian or Mexican flavors here, and a few that cross over both genres. This evening we had the chili verde tortellini, lemon tortellini and cheese ravioli with pesto sauce. The chili verde and lemon tortellini were both spot on with fresh tasting tortellini and excellent flavor. The cheese ravioli were also good but note the pesto sauce is a little rich. We tried the sangrias this time, and it was okay, I prefer mine with a carbonated beverage added to it however which this did not have. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was excellent and the place has a nice vibe indoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Todo remains on my list of favorite spots to go. Expect to spend about 20-30 per person.

Came here to say on a Saturday night to celebrate a friend's birthday dinner. I came with a party of ten, however we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The service was excellent from the moment we sat down, waiting for food to the end. I asked the server what wine would pair well with the Paella and the server suggested a great glass of red wine which was perfect. This is an interesting concept of Mexican Italian Fusion food. But I can taste it. The Paella is a Spanish Dish and with the carnitas and shrimp I can taste the Mexican touch on it. Overall great food and experience. I especially love the atmosphere! Would be back and would highly recommend.

Salsa Verde pizza

A large group of us went there tonight to celebrate a birthday. They were packed. The service was slow but very friendly. I ordered the white sangria, and it was so fruity and yummy. We started with the mozzarella sticks, which had a great cheese pull. My husband had the salsa verde pizza. He really enjoyed it, and so had a couple bites and thought it was delicious. I ordered the shrimp and crab raviolis, and it was a sensational plate of food. Not very spicy but a lot of nice flavor. I would have liked to lick the plate if it wasn't socially unacceptable. My daughter had the Alfredo pasta, and I must admit that this was not a great plate of food. It was really bland. But aside from that, I am anxious to return and try some of the other tasty sounding items on the menu.

Chicken cilantro spaghetti (added shrimp)

With high ratings on Yelp and other platforms, I was expecting a lot from Todo Un Poco. Unfortunately, a few things fell short of my expectations, but we still had a nice dinner out with friends. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. It's a little dim but vibrant at the same time featuring colorful murals, red walls, and Dia de Los Muertos-themed decor. I loved it. We walked in and were greeted by a few different staff hurriedly walking by to and from the dining room to the kitchen, some stating, "we'll be right with you." We were waiting for our friends to arrive, so no big deal that we waited for about 10 minutes, but I got the impression that the staff were a little confused on who was going to seat us and where. Our server was very sweet and polite though. Timing of food was a little off. The red sangria was wonderful, just sweet enough, good alcohol content, and nice fruit flavor. To start our meal we ordered the queso fundido and the clams chorizo. They arrived at different times. The cheese dip was super cheesy, like a never-ending cheese pull. It was good but hard to eat because of that cheese pull! Our server brought a bowl of chips and a plate of salsa, beans, and little tortillas. A plate! They really need to put the salsa and beans in their own little ramekins. That whole dish was awkwardly presented, making it awkward to share with the table. The clams chorizo was good with a unique presentation. They put a large deep fried flour tortilla over the bowl that you could break apart and eat with the dish. I love me a deep fried flour tortilla, so I ate it by itself, but the clams chorizo had a delicious marinara type sauce and would've been better served with some crusty bread. For our mains, I ordered the chicken cilantro spaghetti and added shrimp and hubby ordered the Italian lasagna. Seemed like a small portion for the lasagna but husband said it was good. I was a little disappointed with my spaghetti. I expected more flavor, and I think if they used grilled chicken (and shrimp) instead of shredded chicken(?), it would elevate this signature entree. Also, freshly grated parmesan would be much appreciated for the Italian dishes. Our friends ordered the Mexican lasagna and the shrimp and steak fajitas. Like the Italian lasgana, it seemed like a small portion but they enjoyed it. The fajitas weren't presented in an appetizing way. There was no sizzle, no charred aromas wafting. My friend barely ate any of it, and when our concerned server kept asking if it was ok, she politely said yes. We got talked into sharing the signature house dessert, which was banana bread with fried banana and ice cream on top. That was pretty tasty. Overall, the atmosphere is fun with a diverse menu. There were just a few misses with the food on this visit, with no standouts. A solid 3 stars.

Garlic Braids & Tostada Chicken Salad
Annie N.

We had a pleasant dinner at Todo un poco! The portions are HUGE here. Ordered the garlic braids as an appetizer and we received a LARGE stack of heavenly delicious bread to dip in marinara and ranch. We were surprised in a good way from the generous portion, and were shocked again by the large portion when the tostada salad came out. We were wide-eyed staring at the tostada salad. Pretty sure I said "holy shit that thing is huge" and usually that phrase is followed by a good time, which the salad ending up being very good. The tostada that the salad lays on is larger than my face, I can't say that about most tostadas that I've met. The next entree was chicken flautas and the food was plenty and had good flavors but the rice that came with the flautas had a bit of a bite/crunch, I think it was a tad undercooked but it was still edible. I generally would have liked the rice to be a bit fluffier and cooked a bit more but may have just been an off batch. For drinks, I first ordered a Paloma but the drink was very flat. There were no bubbles/carbonation which I thought was a bit odd for a Paloma so I ended up ordering another drink (a Margarita) and the Margarita was served in a big goblet and was pretty good. We left very full and with leftovers, and would come again. There were a few minor things that could have been improved with the rice and the Paloma drink, but overall the staff and service were very friendly.

Great service and super friendly staff! I had this restaurant bookmarked for the longest time and I finally got to try this restaurant with my family. Huge portions and extensive menu that offers both Italian and Mexican food! We ordered for family style: Medium Chile verde pizza, pasta Jalisco, steak fajitas, crab ravioli, pozole, and churros with ice cream. Out of everything ordered, the crab ravioli (specials) and the churros were my favorite as there were very flavorful! The other items were a bit bland but not bad at all, I was just expecting an explosion of flavor in my mouth and I didn't quite get that. The server was so kind to give us 2 baskets of complimentary garlic bread and it was so good when dipped in the crab ravioli sauce! Overall, this is a perfect place to go on a date night as the ambiance is nice! I would give this restaurant another try as the enchilada looks good and the chicken mole is calling my name! :)

Adobo calzone

We ended up trying this spot out of convenience. We were heading back to the Bay Area famished and we wanted something to hold us over. We walked in and the immediately we noticed the red walls decorated with vibrant colors and art! Reminders Dia de Los Muertos are all over. We walked up to the bar and asked to place a to go order. The gentleman came from behind the counter and showed us a menu. We told him we were driving and he since I was the passenger he suggested the Mexican lasagna for me. My husband wanted the adobo calzone both dishes were savory and flavorful. We placed our order and within 15 minutes our food was ready. The staff were attentive and when they packed our dinners they supplied plenty of napkins, silverware and sauces to accompany our entrees. I was extremely pleased with the service and the robust flavors in our meals (they aren't skimpy). If you are in the Elk Grove area, you want to try a Mexican/Italian fusion spot and you are in the mood for being spoiled this is the perfect place.

We chose this restaurant for our group's monthly dinners. My first time to eat here and it did not disappoint. I ordered Steak and Pesto Torta and it was very delectable. The pesto is not overpowering. It was perfect! The owners (acted as servers as well) are very accommodating and attentive. Bathroom is clean w/ multi stalls. I would come back here again!

Chicken in peri peri sauce
Caitlin S.

I can't think of enough nice things to say about this place. I chose them for my graduation dinner with my family and friends because of what looked to be lovely atmosphere and good food, what I did when I got there was a restaurant that reminded me of my many loved ones from Mexico, staff that was friendly and welcoming, and an owner/chef who made me feel like I was visiting someone's home for a fiesta. She created a menu for my party and we were constantly surprised and overjoyed with all the food. In particular I loved the chicken in peri peri sauce and the Churros we finished the meal with. Maria puts love and attention into every detail and knowing that she also holds minimizing food waste close to her heart made this an even lovelier experience. We'll be back for sure and many of my guests are already planning anniversaries there.

First off, it's an open, clean, pizza joint. They've got dart boards, video games, soda machine, and huge booths to sink into. We return for the food and drinks! Our go to is the Angry Swine: bacon, pepperoni, jalapeños and their delicious garlic sauce. Tip: they'll do a half and half pizza for you, even if the base is different for both halves. I love that! Beer selection is huge, with a great balance between local and popular craft breweries. The servers at the front register are quick to offer a sample if you're not quite sure what to get. Strategy: Come early for the shortest lines and a huge cozy booth!

Ambiance: Always good Service: Great, until we received the bill and the Server's response to our request for a correction We ordered the Pork Fusilli, and a Sicillian pizza, added a $5 Salad (pix attached). Server gave us the bill, upon review, we noticed a "1/2 Caesar Salad" and a corresponding $13 charge, not $5... Certainly NOT what we ordered . We explained to the Server the error and she apologized, said the bill will be corrected. Upon the Server's return, she said she was sorry and informed us we ordered the Caesar, not the regular $5 salad. Really? Instead of correcting their mistake, we now found ourselves having to explain to the Server, twice what actually happened while she took our order, I pointed out to their menu and I said "we wanted to add the $5.00 salad". That was it! We never asked for the Caesar, and specially a "half-order". The Server emphatically refused to correct the mistake. Obviously her decision would have never be my choice, had I been the Server, or the owner of the restaurant. We hate giving bad reviews, but being unnecessarily placed in this awkward position we did not appreciate it.
