Came in last night for father's day sat right by the Kitchen entrance with our larger party. Samri our server tonight was great, very attentive for how busy she was, We did go up to the Bar to order our drinks where we were greeted by the Manager(Matt) who helped make our new favorite Cocktail the Dragon Drop, he offered to take the drinks to our table, when he delivered our drinks they were amazing! He got everyone else refills, more bread and said if we needed anything to flag him down, way to be a rockstar Matt! Overall excellent experience at the Elk Grove location! It had been several years since I've eaten at this restaurant and honestly I thoroughly enjoyed our meal! We showed up at about 6:00 pm on a Friday night and we were seated right away in a cozy booth. Our waiter was great, he was still fairly new and gave us a warning but he was great and so friendly. Wish I remember his name! The garlic cheese bread was ah-mazing!! It was super garlic and cheesy and came with a delicious marinara sauce dip it in. We tried so hard not to eat it all before our meal came lol. The dinner salad was good and fresh and I remembered how much I love the pesto ranch that came on it. My husband had the lasagna and I had the Garlic Mizithra which is Spaghetti with Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter, garlic, bacon, and mushrooms. I enjoyed my meal soooo much. Old Spaghetti Factory doesn't miss! My family likes to come here or take out every now and then and as Italian is my favorite cuisine, I never complain when someone suggests this place. The service is almost always on point and they package everything neatly when we decide to take it to go. My favorite dish is the garlic Mizithra noodles and of course, the salad with pesto dressing and complimentary Spumoni is always fire. I recently saw another Yelper's photo that showed noodles with four different sauces on top so I might break out of my comfort zone next time and try this; it looked amazing. A solid option for a no frills 3 course meal that is extremely carb heavy. I think most have heard of or have been to the Old Spaghetti Factory. It serves as a staple in some cuisines and does have reliability and big restaurant chain energy. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Most meals are around $20-25 but come with a choice of minestrone soup or salad with choice of dressing. They do serve fresh bread with butter which is seemingly unlimited. It comes out hot and fresh every time. You also get a choice of spumoni or vanilla ice cream for dessert. I ordered the pot pourri which was 4 different sauces that they already serve - marinara, meat, clam, and mizithra cheese. All four were great and what you expect. I think the clam was a stand out to me because of the depth of flavor and slight spice. The chicken parmesan that my partnered ordered was subpar. He will definitely stick to pasta next time. We had to constantly ask the bartender for refills because our waitress was nowhere to be found. Asked for boxes and again took 15 minutes for boxes!! She dropped off the check and again after 15 minutes never returned so we had to once again ask the bartend to close out our check. And granted, not busy at all so I'm convinced that's not her normal section and she just forgot about us because that spot is pretty out the way. Food however was as it always is, just meh. We come to this location regularly and always receive great consistent service. I do typically make reservations for a table on the app in advance and am seated almost immediately when we arrive. I highly recommend getting the app to make reservations and earn rewards! There is a "train" in the middle of the restaurant but it's more of a fabricated one, which is good for accessible seating if needed. There are not a lot of tables within the train, but it does have two half circle booths, two small 2 person tables, and two standard booths. My kids love the Mac and cheese kids meals, which come with either soup/salad/applesauce and ice cream. We regularly order the Meat Lovers Treat and Alfredo dishes. I enjoyed a great dinner tonight at the Old a Spaghetti Factory on Laguna Blvd. We were fortunate to be seated in the train where it felt so nice and cozy. I loved it. It was also their 57th Anniversary period with rollback prices for there classic dishes (until 1/31/26, and the dishes were very good. I had the manager's choice, with 2 sauces, and chose the mushroom sauce and mizithra cheese with brown butter. My daughter had the meat sauce and my granddaughter enjoyed the child's fettuccine. They were all accompanied with fresh salad or soup, French bread roll with garlic butter, and spumoni or vanilla ice cream. We also ordered the cheese bread which is so rich on cheese but i forgot to take a photo. Our server, Kris was excellent. He was so nice and very efficient. The food here is always delicious. They serve Italian American food in a cozy restaurant. The food and place get 4 stars. The service gets 3 stars. My husband and I came here for lunch. The service was decent. The workers are polite, however, they checked in on us after long periods of waiting. We don't want or expect servers/ hosts to be with us frequently, but they could have been better. We saw a lot of standing and chitchatting among some workers. There weren't a lot of customers when we went here. We had a host seat us after waiting for 10 minutes. It took another 15-20 minutes before someone took our order. Update: It was the weekend, and we were too tired to cook at home. Decided to order take out. I ordered online, that was simple enough. The task was easy, easy to use. We decided to pick up the food, since it wasn't too far away from where we lived. You go the bar area for to go orders. I got my food and headed to the car. In the car, I decided to check to see if everything was in the bag. We order three entrees, soups, bread, dessert and a side of cheese bread. Everything was there, except one soup and a loaf of bread. I was too tired to go back in the restaurant and did not have the mind set to deal with it. It was just one soup and bread; I will not have any. I order spaghetti with clam sauce. It is usually one of my favorites. The pasta tasted bland and it did not have enough sauce. I was so disappointed. I was looking forward to it. The raviolis were kind of mushy too. That was not good. My husband's chicken fettuccini was good. One out of three. Everytime we would pass by here, I would hope we could find the time to stop by and eat. I had high expectations. The interior is lovely, and the trolley gave a nice touch. But I did not enjoy the food as much as I enjoyed the decor and that warm feeling from their staff. When I lifted my noodles to mix it was all watery. You can barely taste any meat in the meat sauce . I think I make better spaghetti sauce at home . The waiter just dropped it off and dashed right away. I couldn't even ask for freshly grated Parmesan . My boyfriend ordered the spinach cheese ravioli with marinara sauce . The sauce was also runny. For dessert we had the spumoni which is so good hence the reason for stars .without it I would rate this place a two star. The waiter did not ask if everything is ok. Came Saturday around 3pm. Seated promptly. Service was adequate. Ordered a large side of broccoli with mizithra cheese and browned butter ($8.50). Served luke warm. And smaller than expected. I used to order it from door dash and I remember it being much larger, where i had leftovers. But I finished this plate no problem. Tortellini with Alfredo sauce ($20). This is pretty good. The spinach tortellini are filled with chicken and mortadella, and drizzled with Alfredo sauce (the pasta is not tossed in the sauce). Maybe I'm just cheap, but you get exactly enough for one meal, and usually with pasta I have leftovers. Garlic shrimp fettuccine ($23.25) has shrimp in a garlic & cream sauce with lemon and white wine. The shrimp were large and fresh. Cream sauce was very similar to the alfredo. Also ordered a "whole seasoned chicken breast" ($6.50). There is no description so I figured this would be a grilled piece of chicken. It is actually what I imagine to be a frozen breaded chicken breast that's been popped in the toaster oven. Also, just FYI, they also have a "diced, marinated chicken" which I was told is not breaded. The fact that this chicken ONLY comes diced, leads me to believe that this is also frozen. Otherwise why couldn't they just NOT dice it? Both entrees come with soup or salad and a scoop of ice cream. Iced tea was good. Dimly lit restaurant with booths, tables, and a small bar. However, we feel compelled to share our experiences with our server, Anna, as they have been consistently disappointing. On several occasions, Anna has displayed a rudely dismissive attitude. The last time we dined, when I inquired about the timing of my children's entrées, her response was frustratingly vague: "If you don't see it come, it means it wasn't done yet." This interaction left us feeling unwelcome and overlooked, which is disappointing for loyal customers. Despite this, our love for the ambiance and the food brought us back, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, it seems that Anna's service has not improved. During our most recent visit, she placed our food on the table in a manner that felt more like slamming it down than serving it. Our family are regular visitors at this location. We have a couple favorite servers and stick to the same few dishes as not all the food is to our taste. The other evening we were there and they were short staffed, or at least appeared to be. A little slower than normal but no less attentive. Food tasted good and bread was warm and plenty. I did notice a manager there not doing much of nothing. Larger man, all black, with facial hair. I think his name was Marty or Matt. It made me upset to see the busser, host, and two servers busting it out making guests feel welcomed and tended to with a manager who didn't appear to care. The Spinach & Artichoke Dip appetizer - was extremely dry, the artichoke was under cooked, cheese was non existent, lacked flavor, and definitely by far the worst dip I ever had in my life. I would rate it 0 out of 10 and would not recommend to anyone. The chicken masala was also bland. Chicken was hard to cut through, so either the knife was not sharp or the chicken or breaded was overcooked, I would rate this 1 out of 10. The fettuccine Alfredo and Kids Mac and cheese tasted fine - simple and plain, hard to mess these up. Our server was friendly, but not attentive. He never refilled our emptied drinks or even offered. He checked on us once over the period of an hour - which was when I asked for the check, The complimentary bread and ice cream were the only highlight of my dining experience.
