Grateful for the short wait with baby and toddler, delicious beef ribs. Fast, excellent service. One compliment: clean ledge that my baby wanted to touch along the wall One suggestion for improvement: add the foot pedal to open the door like how green acres does for hands free service when hands are sticky with bbq sauce or busy with baby. Parking was very full on Friday night but shares lot with Best Buy.

This spot used to be Logan's Roadhouse and then most recently, Cicada Cantina. In the same complex as Best Buy. 7PM reservations for party of 6 on a Thursday night. Z was our primary server for the night, open until 9PM. They do have Happy Hour at the bar until a certain time if you're interested in wine, beer, or apps like garlic fries! There was also a tempting dinner for two that included 2 entrees, 1 app and 1 dessert but we decided to each do our own instead. Complimentary bread (sourdough?) loaf and butter was super warm and scrumptious. All entrees come with "Fixin's" which are salad (all you can eat) and ranch-style beans served family-style, and choice of mashed potato/baked potato/rice/veggie medley. Dressing choices are ranch, Italian, thousand island, blue cheese, honey mustard, Caesar... What we got: Pete's Special (1) = 10oz sirloin, complimentary drink Thursday Weeknight Sagebrush Sirloin Special (2) = 8oz sirloin with sage butter included Porterhouse (1) = 2lb King of Steaks Filet Mignon (1) = 10oz or petite 6oz Grilled Salmon (1) = dill/lemon or teriyaki glazed options Cowpie Brownie Sundae (1) Open booth central to main dining area. Service was pretty good, though the waiter did spill one red onion from the salad into a water glass, spilled two salad dressing boats, and one ice water. Cleanup was fairly prompt. Had to ask/remind to bring out the Sprite order for the Pete's Special at least once. Refills were better. To-go boxes and bags provided, even obliged a request for a take-home loaf of bread wrapped in foil! Also was kind enough to take group photos for us.

Party of 6 for Steak! [Elk Grove CA] Met with a group of friends and dined here for the first time. We have a Cattlemens in Roseville but I understand that this location in Elk Grove is pretty new. Most of us in our party ordered some type of steak except for one, she opted for salmon. I ordered the Small Sirloin - 8 oz. sirloin steak for my lighter appetite (discounted by $1 from 28.99). I chose the rice for my side. I'm Filipino, gotta have rice! LoL! Zale was our server that evening and he was friendly and attentive to our table. He checked on us often and also introduced us to another server while he went on break. I didn't catch the other server's name but she was great too. We had such a great time with the good and each other's company that we were there for almost 3 hours. The winner that evening was the bread! Oohhh we love our bread (and butter)! Overall we had a pleasant first time experience at this new Cattlemens in Elk Grove. Review #4048

First timer at Cattlemen's, after a suggestion from a friend we participated in the restaurant's happy hour. 3/5- Bar area was satisfactory. Nothing stood out but it was well lit and had decent seating that range from bar seats to high table tops and booths. 5/5- Makayla was our server and she was very attentive and helpful. 4/5- I really enjoyed my lamb lollipops and my Raspberry lemon drop cocktails.

This place took over what used to be Logan's roadhouse. Parking was packed, but there are a few empty spots you'll have to find to park in. Once inside, everyone showed up on time and we were seated quickly with a reservation. We all took a while to order since we were having to much fun catching up. Eventually, Zale, our server, got our orders and went on his way. We got complimentary bread and butter, waters, and depending on what you ordered, all entrees come with all-you-can-eat salad, baked beans, choice of mashed or baked potato or rice, or vegetable medley. I got the Petes special, which came with a 10 oz sirloin, and I opted for the baked potato, which comes with sour cream and chives. Cheese and bacon bits are extra charge. I also added on sage butter to my sirloin for $1.99 charge (worth it). The sirloin was good. Had great flavor and was cooked to my liking. The baked potato was great also. My order came with a complimentary drink, so I got sprite, which comes with free refills. Can't beat that. Overall, the restaurant was clean, lots of room and the decor was great. Our server was good. There were a few accidents, but nothing major.

Came right at opening and had about a 30 minutes wait.. which wasn't too bad but I felt like there was too many servers standing around and the tables weren't even full when we did get sat down. Weird but ok. First time at this location so we wanted to order an abundance of items to try. The restaurant is pretty big with plenty of seating. I did hear that if you plan on coming on weekends or even Fridays .. it's best to make reservations! So for starters we ordered the morzerella sticks .. they were like Pattys and were great! And the potato skins with bacon was also delicious! The artichoke was my fav! But I like that anywhere I'm able to order it so I don't know if that counts LOL I ordered the mushroom ravioli and that was sooooo good! I love mushroom or truffle anything! Delicious! My kids each order the filet. One came with mash potatoes and one came with fries. They both devoured their dinner. Their meals came with a shared cauldron of beans that was ok. The house salad was refreshing! And to end the meal they both shared a Pete's pan cookie dessert. They said that was ok.

The food is very good here. The restaurant is normal setting as far as ambiance. The service was not very good. My wife and I on a Wednesday around 7pm waited 30 mins for a table (even though there were several open tables). Then once seated we didn't get any beverages for another 20mins sitting with nothing. Once we got a waitress she was very nice and her service was good but we had to wait along time.

My friends and I went here last month for the first time and had fun checking out the new Cattlemens. I like that they have happy hour in the bar area and the service was awesome. Food-wise, I chose the salmon, which is advertised as a "thick-cut" piece of salmon. I was eager to dig in but was disappointed when it arrived, because it was a skinny slice compared to what I had anticipated due to the menu description. In addition, once I tried it, it was overcooked (a little tough on the outside) and that is hard to do because I like salmon well-done so I usually appreciate fish that is thoroughly cooked. The highlights were the brownie sundae and the garlic fries- fire!! Flavor-wise, everything was on point. I loved the endless salad and the mashed potatoes were tasty too, if not a little too buttery. I'd return for happy hour to try out some drinks and some apps but probably wouldn't order an entree again. Our server was awesome and the hosts were great, taking our picture before we left. Parking is in a shared parking lot with Best Buy and other businesses.

We visited Cattlemen's Steakhouse a week ago. We didn't make reservations, we just went on a whim! The parking lot was full as we took the last spot. As we entered, we were quickly greeted with big smile! The young ladies told us that it was a two hour wait without reservations. They then guided us to the bar area. We were disappointed because we didn't like bar stools, but we decided to give it a try! As we sat down, Roman greeted us with a big smile. He was making a mixed drink for someone and he said he would help us as soon as he could. We received our menu to look over and we received our drinks! We ordered the Rustler Ribeye Steaks. Our meal came with sourdough bread, unlimited salads, baked beans, and potato of choice. Our service was FANTASTIC even though this place was packed on a Sunday dinner crowd. We were checked in by Roman in between his other customers. Another lady was helping another couple near us even stopped over to ask if needed anything. Now, that's SERVICE since we were not her customer! Overall, we truly enjoyed our dinner! This place is newly opened and very busy and we felt lucky to be pampered by caring employees. The restaurant is well decorated with clean lines designed with a touch of cowboy ambiance! Bathroom was well maintained. Ample parking when not a full house. We felt the prices were fair. In today's economy, nothing is cheap! Our ribeyes were tasty! Yes, we've had tastier. To be fair, it was dry aged and triple the price. We truly enjoyed our visit. We will be back to try other menu items soon!

Was super excited to try this place! We had a mixed experience here, but overall there were definitely some highlights. Starting with the appetizers... they were just not it. The artichoke dip was mediocre--edible, but nothing special. The tumbleweed was basically fried onion straws, but they were so greasy it made them hard to enjoy. Same issue with the calamari--chewy and completely overpowered by oil. We won't be ordering appetizers again. On a positive note, the complimentary bread with butter was SO good!! Bread is always a good way to start the meal. The entrees really saved the experience. The prime rib was flavorful and delicious, I would absolutely order it again. The New York strip was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The beef rib (from the kids meal) was surprisingly generous in portions, fall off the bone tender, and seasoned well. The pork ribs were also delicious and I chose to pair it with mashed potatoes. Overall, the meats were definitely the standout here. Sides were decent...mashed potatoes were good, fries were fine. The beans tasted like a smoky, campfire style baked bean (very reminiscent of classic canned baked beans, but with a nice BBQ flavor). Drinks were hit or miss. My husband said the Old Fashioned was classic and spot on, but the Mai Tai tasted more like juice than a cocktail. Dessert, however, was amazing. The cow pie brownie sundae was sooo good, and the deep fried apple pie really made an impression, as it had actual apple slices inside, which made it even better, it was served with ice cream and I was just in love with it. It was a very busy night, but service was overall fine. I did notice the manager checking on several tables around us but never stopped by ours, which was a little odd. All in all, we'll be back for the meats and desserts, but definitely skipping the appetizers next time. Family friendly establishment, great for large groups, birthdays, and dinner dates, although it's loud, so maybe not a first date. The place was kept clean. I noticed they had someone vacuum under each table as a part of their cleaning process.

We've been fans of Cattlemen's for years. Living in Elk Grove, we've always had to make the drive to Roseville or Rancho for a date night steak dinner. Now we've e finally got one in Elk Grove and decided to check it out. It may look small from the outside, but the inside was designed with different and almost separate dining areas throughout the restaurant. A pretty good sized bar as soon as you walk in is front and center, so you can quench your thirst while waiting for a table to open up for you. If you've been to any Cattlemen's before you already know what to expect on the menu. Something for everyone. Fish, poultry, and of course those steaks! Plenty of staff on hand to help if you need anything is a plus! The food was spot on and had a great time! We will definitely be back!

Tried the new Cattlemen's Steakhouse in Elk Grove and it was not bad. I had made a reservation so there was no problem getting a table. We were seated fairly soon at a nice spacious table. All of us ordered steak except for one salmon. The entire table received some complementary bread and butter, salad, and ranch-styled beans. I ordered the Rustler Rib Eye Steak ($41.99) with mashed potatoes, which was 14oz. boneless marbled cut. I opted to add sage butter for $1.99. It was supposed to be topped with onions, but there were no onions when it came out. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare, with a little bit more on the rare side, and it was medium rare. I had imagined the steak to be very thick with lots of seasoning and rare to medium rare, but when the steak came out, it was thin and flat, and reminded me of a American diner steak, instead of a steakhouse steak. The taste and texture was more like a diner steak - some parts chewy and not as flavorful, instead of thick, juicy, tender and flavorful. I would not order a rib eye from here again. The mashed potatoes were okay. They did not come with gravy, but the server offered us some au jus, which was somewhat better than nothing, but not as good as gravy. The mashed potatoes were heavy. We got a brownie sundae for our celebration, which was nice. Our server was nice and polite, but a little clumsy as he knocked over water cup, dropped onion into a water cup, and then knocked over the salad dressing. What was strange to me was that after he knocked the items over, he didn't offer to replace them until we asked for replacements. Nevertheless, he was nice and friendly. Cattlemen's has daily specials Monday through Thursday. On Thursdays, the special is the 8oz. Sage Butter Sirloin Steak for $27.99. They also have happy hour, but you have to sit in the bar area. Cattlemen's in Elk Grove is not a bad steakhouse, but not the best steakhouse.

Fun times with friends checking out the latest steak house in Elk Grove! Happy hour 4-10p, too! There are always specials here and the food is good quality! And best of all, I got brownie sundae to share with pals!

Their employees have that southern hospitality I never use that word but I HAD to for this because my experience was so awesome! I have never in my entire life had such an amazing experience at a restaurant I ordered ribs, mashed potatoes, and bbq chicken. Honestly, the number 1 best ribs I have ever had! Not even trying to glaze this place but it's the best i love it sm. The atmosphere here is SO COOL!!! Love their texas themed place. I think it's funny how they have a saddle to ride it made my experience so much fun! I think this place is already over hyped BUT for a GOOD reason! I am A THOUSAND percent returning!!! This was also a takeout order, so I'm not sure if the quality standards for takeout differ from dine-in, but based on this experience, it definitely did not meet the mark. I ordered my steak well done, but when I cut into it, it was still red in the center. The macaroni and cheese lacked flavor, and the cheese wasn't mixed well with the pasta. The sweet potato tasted burnt on the inside and had a poor texture. The green beans were the only side that met expectations. I'm not sure if there are new cooks or if standards have changed, but the food quality was not what I remembered. To their credit, management listened to my concerns, apologized, and provided me with a coupon for a future meal, which I appreciated. My intention in leaving this review is simply to provide honest feedback in hopes that improvements can be made. With restaurant prices being as high as they are today, I expect meals to be prepared correctly regardless of whether I'm dining in or ordering takeout. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I don't plan on returning anytime soon and will likely be looking elsewhere when I'm in the mood for a good steak.

Oh my, the French toast is a huge portion and beautifully presented with a side of whipped cream and strawberry compote on top. It's not as sweet as it looks (perfect for my taste) and the toast had crispy edges. Sausage was good but needed to be cooked just a bit longer, so you get that snap when you bite it. Scrambled eggs were good too. My husband got the chorizo burrito with tater tots on the side. He liked the burrito but said it did have little kick to it. The tots were fried to perfection and not oily. My brother ordered the "Dad's Mash Up," all kinds of stuff (breakfast meats and cheese) served on top of tots and covered in gravy. It was a pile of food, no complaints from my bro. Service was great and welcoming as soon as we walked in. No wait on a Wednesday morning, but I imagine there is on the weekends. I let our server know it was my brother's birthday, and after we were finishing up our meals, they brought him a complimentary small plate of the strawberry French toast! That was a fantastic way to end his celebratory breakfast. My only complaint, which is more of a suggestion, is to have flavored cream available besides half and half. The coffee is strong and delicious and our cups were never empty. Thank you, Jamie and staff, for a wonderful and yummy first visit. We'll be back!

Wait Time: 15 minutes (Sunday brunch)…read more Parking: Free with plenty of spaces in the shopping complex. Restroom: Bright and clean. Ambience: The space feels somewhat unfinished. Much of the interior consists of plain, single-color walls without much décor, giving it a blank and somewhat incomplete feel. Service: Friendly but slow and somewhat disorganized. * At check-in, the host added my name (Lin) to the waitlist and said I would receive a text when my table was ready. However, the notification arrived under a different name (Nancy), so I had to double-check whether the table was actually for us. * Our server was pleasant, but service felt scattered. She stopped by to check on us, but before we could respond, she walked over to another table and continued a conversation there. When she returned, she said she would bring water, even though we were already ready to order. It took a while for the water to arrive. * Later, we requested a water refill, which she acknowledged, but it appeared to be forgotten. The refill only came when we were getting ready to leave, at which point she apologized. Although it was a Sunday brunch service, the restaurant did not seem busy enough to fully explain the level of disorganization. Food: Breakfast is available all day. I recommend the Eggs Benedict (weekends only), which comes in several varieties: A. Bacon, spinach, and tomato Benedict B. Traditional ham Benedict C. Cali Benedict with avocado, tomatoes, and arugula D. Smoked Salmon Benedict The Club Sandwich also comes with a generous portion size. A nice convenience is that the restaurant allows split bills, and guests can pay individually through the Toast app.

BJ's for lunch today, and we ordered of the lunch menu. We…read morewere seated right away because we got there just before 2:00. We waited awhile for the server though. After 2:20, I got up and asked if anyone was coming to our table, as I've watch tables on the other end being seated, offered water, and putting in their order. The hostess said she'll be out soon, so I imagine we were seated while she must have just started her break. I was beginning to get upset, but Meredith arrived to take our orders and she was an excellent server. The managers should have had her tables covered while she was on break. My granddaughter had the personal pizza with house salad and I had the cheeseburger with a wedge salad. The lunches also came with a mini pizookie, which was plenty after a hefty lunch. My granddaughter enjoyed the pizza, which is the perfect size for her. Her salad was a little lumpy so she just played with it. My burger was really good, but I could only eat half. The other half will be dinner. Their fries were nice and hot and crispy, but I had the wedge salad instead, which was very good.

Oh nooooo. BJs why was the Tri tip steak so tiny?!?! It's just slightly bigger than the lemon…read morewedge. We took this order to go so we didn't notice how sad the meal looked until we got it home. It was a pricey plate too. Flavor was good, even though the steak was small but overall the meal was decently proportioned. I had the pizooki special with chicken, succotash and mashed potatoes which I've had in the restaurant. My to go had less succotash but overall was good. The salmon dish with rice and broccoli was average - the fish was good. The broccoli was super underdone and there was an odd seasoning on the rice. But the fish was GOOD! To go orders can be iffy and inconsistent but when I dine in the food is pretty good.

Long overdue but here it is…read more This just might be the best restaurant in Elk Grove! This is my go to spot. A couple of dishes are missing here. Cannot find the pics! First off let me say I haven't had anything here "okay". Every dish has been good or amazing! I'll start with the BBQ platter. Some of the best brisket Ive had. You can tell they really put time and effort into smoking the brisket. It's tender and flavorful. You honestly don't even need BBQ sauce! Ribs are just as good. Soft to the bite, seasoned well! I've had a few BBQ places up here and Streetzlan tops them all! Fish(Cod) I believe is a nice flaky piece of fish. Good soft tortilla! Shrimp is blackened but the Pork Taco takes the cake. Crunch with a layer of fat !!!! Smash Burger although I think isn't on the menu anymore is a simple burger but bursting with flavor. Patty to bun ratio is a . Some burger patties are too much imo or the bun is. Grilled onions and Pickles! Fries have a nice pink aioli and the cheese is a good blend of aged but not too much! Also I've had them catered twice, one for baby shower and one for birthday! Not a soul at each event complained! I got the street taco bar and separate 5Lb of brisket+pulled pork+salad. It comes with rice and beans, salsa, cilantro and onions! Service is always top tier...don't have to say much they always make sure you're good. Everyone has been extremely nice! If you haven't been and you're in EG please go... Like TODAY...RIGHT NOW LOL!

I really like the food here, but the hours and service are extremely frustrating. The hours posted…read moreonline don't seem to be accurate, and I've made multiple trips only to find them closed. Today I walked in around 2:30 PM and was told they were closed and wouldn't reopen until 5 PM. I also tried coming last night, and they were closed then too. The food is good, but it's hard to recommend a place when you never know if they're actually going to be open. Please update the posted hours so customers don't waste a trip.
