I have been going to Togo's since the 70's. I grew up in Santa Cruz where Togo's originated (actually San Jose but close enough). My go to sandwich was the hot #7 (roast beef dipped in hot au jus), with extra mayo, lettuce, tomato on a middle section of white bread. Recently, Togo's got the bright idea to remove the au jus and run the bread and dry meat through the toaster. Whoever made that decision should be fired!!! There is no reason for me to go to Togo's any longer unless they change it back. Sad because Togo's has been my favorite roast beef sandwich place for over 50 years. read more

It's been years since I've been to Togo's...they used to have a chicken salad with grapes and apples, and I loved it as it was refreshing... BUT...it's not showing on their menu anymore, so I'm trying their #16 "The Italian" on Parmesan bread. Large size is $14.50, regular is $10.75. Next time I will definitely try the hot pastrami. I hate coming to this Togo, there's no real urgency here. There's two people working behind the counter in African-American male and a Caucasian female. They sit there and go back-and-forth joking around, and are easily distracted when there's a line of people waiting to order. They prioritize the baskin robins and the people getting ice cream even if guests were waiting first for sandwiches. Unfortunately, I have no other option. This is the closest location to my house.. I just wish it was more organized and they prioritize the guests. read more

Went there today for lunch. Two # 7's regular and one #8 large plus one bag of chips = $38.45! The roast beef was similar to lunch meat from the grocery store, not like previous roast beef. I went with my son to get two sandwiches. He got turkey and I got pastrami. I got home and my pastrami was on raw bread. I have come to this place many times and my pastrami has never been on raw bread. But this time when I ask I was told that I didn't ask for my hot sandwich hot. I will never come back. Only problem was the reduction in pastrami on the number 9 sandwich but cost and inflation make it understandable. Subway is better. TOGO's is meh. You can tell I am clearly biased here on my review lol I don't know what it is though. I have never really cared for TOGO's. If I am being honest, I have only had TOGO's twice. And both times I was like what the heck is this crap. The sandwich was soggy tasting and the other time, my sandwich was very bland. I always order a vegetarian sandwich. I just don't like their flavors. For my veggie sandwiches it is all about Subway. Infact- I think I will go to Subway when I get off work. Ordered 7 sandwiches for the family. Driver waited for the order to be completed and delivered within 65 min. However the order was missing an item. When i called, i got the usual apologies and was told i could drive down and pick up the missing item. I informed the individual that i didn't have a car available (i am legally blind) and that was why i ordered DELIVERY. When they refused i requested a refund. I was then told that the individual i spoke to could not perform a refund. Gone are the days of pride in your work or a business apparently. It will be awhile before i spend money here again. Sent my husband to grab me a pastrami wrap for lunch today as I was really busy with work. He came home with this pastrami sandwich. Lacking 3/4 of the meat it usually comes with. It's been so hot lately to cook so I decided to order a sandwich online from their app to try out their new cheese steak sandwich. The online ordering was a breeze so that's the one star. The sandwich my husband and I got was soggy and disgusting. We couldn't even eat them when he brought it home. I didn't realize they would put wet meat on the bread that make the bread mushy. I would have never ordered the cheese steak sandwich. We were both so disappointed and frustrated cause we spent almost $25 on something we couldn't even eat. I ended up dumping the soggy bread and eating just the meat. Not worth $25! We will not be going back. read more

It's just not a good sandwich and the pictures you see online when you order look much different from what you actually get. Baskin Robbins was good though... just not the Togo... We were thrilled to find a Togo business nearby. Since I am gluten-free, my husband called them to verify if they offered gluten-free bread. The lady on the phone said yes they had gluten-free wraps. We went there within an hour. When I gave them my order, they went to make it. After waiting for 4 minutes, there came to tell need that they did not have gluten-free products. My husband asked them if they were out of GF products why didn't they tell us over the phone. They couldn't answer that. So I am giving them one star in communication because there's no half a star available. I left the place sorely disappointed. I was driving to one of my favorite Chinese food places after work when I saw Togo's, so I decided to get a sandwich instead. I don't go to Togo's often. Once every few years. Every time I do go, the sandwich is perfect and worth the extra money compared to other sandwich places. Some people complained that their sandwich was soggy in other reviews. Because I've only had good experiences with Togo's, I doubted this would happen to me. I bought the footlong Turkey BLT. Well it happened. I could tell my sandwich was soggy as soon as I pulled it out of the bag, which was as soon I reached my car. Warm, soft, and soggy instead of warm and slightly crispy. I picked it up as soon as it was ready, so the sogginess didn't have to do with a delayed pickup time. But maybe the sandwich is not meant to be wrapped up and put in a bag. Maybe it would have tasted better if I had ordered it in person. I was unhappy from my first bite but kept eating, because I didn't want to waste 15 dollars on a sandwich. I ended up feeling a bit nauseated. The sandwich was made quickly, however, and the employee was courteous. read more
