He had a big bowl of the soup, with noodles & mushrooms, & shrimp. I had 2 appetizers, the seaweed salad, & the spring rolls. All were excellent, & no more pricey than anywhere else. The place is cute! Very Japanese-inspired, clean, spare lines, chairs, & decor. Very calming, despite the mad, mad, mad world (traffic-backed up!) outside. And soooo cute! And the cutest part- the smooth, dark wood chopsticks were presented in its own, engraved wooden box! Can't get any cuter than that! I am not usually a person that writes reviews but I felt this was necessary for this establishment. This place made a right out of something that was completely not their fault. My wife and I ordered Token Ramen off of uber eats and the driver delivered us the wrong meal, not the restaurants mistake by any means. Well we called them because the same deal wasn't showing up on uber eats for a buy 1 get 1 free deal. They honored the deal and provided us with the original offer for a mistake that they did not make. We are currently in the process of moving to the area and they have gained my business going further due to having great food and even better customer service! Super super excited to want to try this restaurant but when we were seated, we got completely ignored and two tables that came after us were taken care of almost immediately and we were just completely ignored. What made it worse was two servers actually looked at us and ignored us. Ramen wasn't very good compared to other ramen places I've been too. I got the grilled chicken ramen, Broth was very bland and not very good and didn't have much meat, just chicken skin. Wouldn't recommend the ramen from here based on the dish I got. Haven't tried anything else from here so I don't want to take away from any of their other dishes. read more

It's a Chinese cuisine place, not Japanese, they serve tap water, you can tell by the smell. I ordered karaage - I got served General Tzo's chicken with Chinese sauce. Not even a hint of ginger in it. Nice interior though. read more

Oh finally the companion of KFT is open! Place is spacious and well lit. Ordering was easy and the atmosphere was very modern. Located where Tijuana flats used to be and is relatively easy to access. Staff is still new so patience is a given. Hope to see it thrive. Update: husband says everything is great but the tonkotsu broth is lacking. They use regular ramen noodles for it as well instead of traditional thin noodle for the tonkotsu and also waitress carried bowls to where her thumbs were in our soup (didn't bother to say anything though). I got the Spicy Tonkatsu ramen with a takoyaki appetizer. The broth for the ramen was delicious and so savory! I definitely recommend. Careful if you don't handle spicy well bc the spicy oil caught me in the throat but after regaining my composure, it was quite enjoyable. I will say the takoyaki wasn't my favorite. It was really mushy with little inside at all. It wasn't crazy busy but the staff seemed off their game that night. I stood at the front for a little bit of time without anyone greeting or telling me where to sit. I didn't get my appetizer before my meal, so it basically came as a side dish. I also heard what sounded like a mountain of dishes come crashing down from the kitchen. Hopefully, it was just an off night and they'll get their groove back soon. read more

I dropped by Token after reading several reviews. I was greeted and seated promptly. I ordered the Tonkotsu and was served within 10 minutes. Flavorful, hot, and delicious! I haven't had any better since moving to Florida. It was outstanding! The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is because my server never introduced herself, never came back to see if everything was okay, she never even came back to give me a check. I waited about 5 minutes after eating and nothing. I finally got up and walked to the hostess and asked for check. I'm not saying I won't go back but that was a big miss in my book. read more

I like the spicy beef but it is spicy so be prepared if you don't like spice get the regular beef. Those are our go to along with the dumplings. Only has been open for 3 days when I went there and the service was lackluster for real and I heard a lot of apologizing by the servers which wasn't the best look. Food was so slow coming out I sat the bar top they had. Important thing is though that that drink I had and the food was everything I expected it to be.. which was so freaking good!!! Pretty good experience, metal chopsticks, they also have some options if you don't want ramen. They sell Ramune, which is good, even have non standard flavors. I got Orange and blueberry. If you order the pork chashu, I will say that they cook it a little much. If you prefer yours with no black, make sure you ask for a lightly done pork. Otherwise, you're good to go. Soup is delicious. They bring a fork just in case for you. Good music playing throughout, but it's all modern American, nothing japanese, and definitely not traditional. Not even anime OSTs. Again, that's your preference. If you don't like songs you can understand then it's amazing. read more

Service was great here, but the food was meh. The pork buns were diet level. It literally had a sad tiny piece of meat with nothing much else inside. At least throw a pickled cucumber in that bish! I let the kids have at it because I was offended. The takoyaki had a half inch nub of octopus inside. It was mostly dough. There should be more meat inside and the inside texture was off. Again, diet portions. Lastly, the ramen. Portion-wise ok. But the broth depth of flavor was seriously lacking. The tonkatsu pork broth should be super flavorful. The only dish that surprised me was the pineapple chicken rice bowl. Ordered that for the chirren and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I did not get to sample it because I felt guilty stealing some of their chicken, but my table mate did not and said it was tasty. I wanted to love this place because I have been dying for a good ramen restaurant in SWFL but this is just ok. I got the tonkatsu ramen and while it was pretty good, the portions were tiny and there was hardly any broth in the bowl. One of my favorite parts about ramen everywhere else I've had it is the huge portion but this was so small that I was left hungry when I finished. The service also wasn't so great but I chalk that up more to it being a new restaurant and working out the kinks. If the portions were larger, I would probably return but they are just too small for being over $15. read more

Went out for ramen on a cold night. Went into here since it's a new place to try out. The menu is in the pictures. They didn't have any refillable drinks (I assume bc of the water boil notice) so we drank the little Japanese sodas. They were good but not enough drinks for the price. Then we had gyozas which were 5 stars. I got the chicken ramen and my husband got the miso. Both were very good and large portions. The noodles didn't taste homemade but I'm not sure. We were promptly seated and drink orders taken. I asked if the music could be turned down. Very quickly this was remedied. The restaurant is relatively new (I think) and it's a nice little place in a strip mall. Very clean and well appointed. We both ordered Japanese Ramune soda in lychee flavor. Very refreshing. For an appetizer we got spring rolls. They were piping hot and filled with refreshing vegetables. The dipping sauce was sort of sweet and sour and a little spicy. Our main bowls arrived, mine was Black Garlic Ramon. The dish included half a spiced egg, pork, seaweed, mushrooms, noodles, and other bits and pieces I can't identify. All the big edible bits were delicious, but my black Garlic broth was a game changer. My husband had order a grilled shrimp ramen. Nice perfectly rendered shrimp, various veggies and noodles. I tasted his broth but my Black garlic broth was outstanding. I ate a bit from mine but turned it over to Mr Garlic who loved it more than his dish. Advice from me: don't be afraid of trying a new flavor. As I mentioned, I ate all the num num stuff off of mine and some of the noodles, but my husband like it so much I had to turn it over to him. The veggies were fresh and the pork chashu was to die for. I noticed there we're many pick up orders. If this was closer to my house I can easily imagine visiting for pick up. I've read some of the other reviews and my food was not salty and my egg was temperate. We did not get "fancy" chopsticks as others have, but we sallied forth. If you've ever been a starved student or anyone on a budget who avails themselves of store bought ramen, this will change your concept of ramen. read more

I've been waiting for Token Ramen to open up to see if it would become the only good ramen place in town - it was. The atmosphere is clean and chic; it incorporates Japanese style elements into the look. The menu is simple, but every dish seems to pack tons of flavor; you will be dying for more. I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen and it was carefully assembled and generously seasoned. Every part of the dish was clearly made with love and the chef even came around to ask how everyone's meal was.
