The roti was highly recommended, and although I've enjoyed roti before, nothing has come close to this version. It was incredibly delicious--light, buttery, and perfectly flaky, with delicate layers that practically melted in my mouth. The accompanying dipping sauce complemented it beautifully. I'm a big fan of drunken noodles, but the version served here was truly exceptional--the best I've ever had. The flavors were rich, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Our server was attentive, patient, and genuinely kind, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. I would happily return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an outstanding meal.

Rustic Spoon - Toluca Lake…read more You're quaint and close to great. Limited parking in back, but plenty on the street this small sibling eatery to Rustic Spoon - Valley Village has a lot of those familiar beats with both inside and patio seating. I haven't been to this location in many years, but the service and eats definitely had me nostalgic. Stopping in for dinner before an event night, my friend Shaun and I enjoyed the Pad Thai (him) and their Warm Noodle (myself) w/ Tofu. The portions are smaller than the Rustic Spoon in Valley Village, but the flavors and quality are abundant. From curry to desser, noodles to rice dishes, appetizers, salads, soups, chef's specials and even a kid's menu. No wine, beer or alcoholic beverages available here, however excellent mocktails (Rose Mojito, Bloody Lychee), teas, and various classic beverages. We experienced a minor mix up with my order initially, I was brought a noodle dish with steak, but I think it was meant for another table since I don't eat meat and can't remember the last time I used steak in a sentence. It was an easy fix and we had zero other issues, aside for me leaving my bag at the table - they were super kind enough to flag us down on the sidewalk. Very clean and intimate inside with nice lighting from the street and their own special touch at night. Restrooms for customers Wi-Fi available upon request. Patio is pet friendly. Solid for groups, but absolutely plan ahead (they do take reservations). Open daily from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM on weekdays as well as from 3 PM until 9 PM Saturdays and Sundays.

My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

I've been to Shiki Sushi several times over the years, and after a long break I finally came back…read more I have to admit, this just isn't my preferred style of sushi--but that's more about my taste than the restaurant itself. If you're someone who enjoys traditional, high-quality nigiri and sashimi, this probably won't be your go-to spot. Shiki is all about comfort sushi: big rolls loaded with imitation crab, creamy sauces, baked toppings, and bold flavors. It's rich, indulgent, and definitely on the heavier side. That said, when you're absolutely starving and just want something satisfying that hits the spot, Shiki delivers. The menu is huge with endless options, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Every time I've come here I've ended up ordering specialty rolls instead of actual sushi because that's really what this restaurant excels at. I also have to admit... baked rolls are one of my guilty pleasures. A lot of higher-end sushi restaurants don't even serve them because they're more of a comfort dish than traditional sushi, so Shiki scratches that itch perfectly. The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and quick, which always makes the experience better. Will I be back? Probably not anytime soon, simply because I usually crave a more traditional sushi experience. But compared to other restaurants in this style and price range, Shiki does an excellent job. If you're looking for filling, flavorful specialty rolls with great value, this is an easy 5-star spot.

Not sure why they…read moreclosed, but I'm guessing a greedy landlord; and the space is still empty at the time of this review. I was craving Chin Chin, so I ordered on Uber Eats. Obviously ordering online is never going to be the same as dining in. The closest location was in Studio City which is about 4+ miles from West Hollywood. I ordered the Fried Rice and paid extra ($5) to add Chicken. I also ordered the Chicken Potstickers (Dumplings) which are my favorite. I reheated my food upon delivery as I knew it wouldn't be warm enough for me upon arrival. The Chicken Fried Rice was a large portion and tasted fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, paying extra for Chicken wasn't worth the price. It was just a few small strips of Chicken in a large serving of rice. See pictures. The Chicken Potstickers were awesome as usual. Five large dumplings packed full of delicious Chicken. The coating was so fresh, and tasted better after reheating. I didn't have their Chinese Chicken Salad this time, but every time I have ordered it in the past, it's always been so freaking good with plenty of fresh Chicken. In past experiences, dining in has always been very friendly and attentive service. Really miss you guys in West Hollywood.

I live very close to this restaurant and go there pretty frequently whenever I have a craving for some great, delicious, authentic, fresh, flavorful food. Since my last review, I have been there many times but today I felt that there is a need for an update. I walked in around 6:45pm and got a very nice welcome from Joe & his wife Joy. It is a family owned business and they are very much loved and close to the community. We are all like one big, happy family. They get most of their clientele from to-go orders and 3rd party orders. The restaurant is pretty chill, big, and quiet. However, they do have fine music playing overhead and nice decor all over. I have tried many dishes from their extensive menu options and love everything that I have tried. On today's visit I tried their Garlic Pork Rib Stir Fry with lots of different kinds of herbs (17.95). It comes with broccoli and steamed white rice. Also got their 5pc vegetable egg rolls (7.95). For dessert, I had their Mango Sticky rice which is to die for.(10.95). Food was tender and delicious. Parking is shared with multiple businesses, place is very clean and they have one gender neutral restroom which is also clean. Go to DISH & I swear that you will become to be part of their family.
