Food came out steaming hot exactly how I asked for it and tasted super fresh. You can tell they pay attention to detail. Service was great too, everyone was very friendly and Kelly was very attentive

From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by the most warm and inviting ambiance this sushi restaurant truly feels like a hidden gem. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxing, and perfectly set for an unforgettable dining experience. The service is absolutely top-tier, and Eddie, the owner, goes above and beyond to make every guest feel genuinely appreciated. His passion and attention to detail shine through in every aspect of the restaurant. The sushi is incredibly fresh, beautifully crafted, and full of flavor hands down some of the best I've had. If you're looking for exceptional food, outstanding service, and a place that makes you feel right at home, this spot is a must-visit.

I rarely give a 5 star review, but this place deserves it. Service was prompt and courteous. The server clearly knew the menu well and she made recommendations to us and accommodations for us. We were in a group, but she provided separate tickets. She didn't hover, but was watchful when we needed refills of their truly delicious green tea and boxes at the end of our meal. There is a wide variety of dishes on the menu. The lunch special is chicken teriyaki. A large serving of grilled chicken comes with white rice, a green salad, and your choice of potstickers or sushi roll. The chicken was grilled and served without sauce. Bottles of teriyaki, soy and sriracha were on the table so we could season our plate as we liked. Everyone was pleased with their choice and there were three clean plates at our table. Though this place is in a small strip mall across from Sierra College, it was very quiet inside. An absolute must for us aging diners! My ticket was $20, which is about in line with lunch specials these days and considering the generosity of the servings. Planning to return to try the fish!

Amazing service, delicious fresh sushi. The rolls are a great size and they have an amazing buy 2 rolls get 1 free special. So we got six rolls for the price of four. Spent less than we would have at Mikuni for more rolls! We got the Oh Yes, Half & Half, Happy Day, Lucky 7 and Ichiban. We also had their Soju flight. All for under $100. Highly recommend!

Great food and great server Amanda! We ordered The Lion King roll, California roll, and golden California roll. It was amazing and delicious. We also got Bulgogi fries which were way better than we expected.

Both Udon Noodles that my nieces chose had excellent broth and the kitchen did not skimp on the toppings. The restaurant is a bit dark inside but it's probably to create a more romantic date night vibe. Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. Overall, we had a great experience at Azayaka Japanese Fusion. The food was delicious, the service was warm, and we would definitely come back to try more dishes.

First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.

We ordered the Rainbow Roll and they forgot the onions, which was disappointing since it's a basic component of the roll, had avocado and a crab stick wrapped inside and it was just very off. Flavor wise, most of the rolls were very bland and lacked complexity. A lot of the menu feels repetitive, like the same ingredients are just rearranged into different rolls without much creativity. I was especially looking forward to something with hamachi, but they didn't have any options on the menu. I asked for a custom roll, and while they were able to make one, it was just okay and didn't stand out. For the price point, I expected more depth of flavor and more unique combinations. There are quite a few sushi spots nearby that offer more interesting rolls and better overall value. I'd probably choose places like BF Miyabi, Tang's, or Roku over this next time. We didn't call ahead, so the 45-minute wait was completely understandable and not an issue. Once we were seated, though, the experience went downhill. We ordered two kids' bento boxes, an adult chicken teriyaki plate, three sushi rolls, my chirashi, and three Shirley Temples. The Shirley Temples came without cherries, so we asked our waiter about it. He told us the cherries are "reserved for drinks at the bar," but are available for Shirley Temples upon request. Um...okay? Shirley Temples are practically known for the maraschino cherry, especially when kids are ordering them. And if they're available upon request, why not mention that when the drinks are served? It then took another five minutes just to get the cherries. The timing of the food was even more frustrating. The kids' bento boxes came first. About five minutes later, the adult chicken teriyaki plate arrived. Then two of the sushi rolls and my chirashi came out. The third sushi roll didn't arrive until roughly 10 minutes after that. We went out to eat together as a family, but everyone ended up eating and finishing at completely different times. Our waiter also never came back to check on us, ask if we needed anything, or offer drink refills. At the end of the meal, my husband wanted to use tap-to-pay and we asked for to-go boxes. It took another 5-10 minutes for the waiter to bring the card reader and a box. Then I asked for a bag for the leftovers, and that took forever too. The entire experience felt like it was moving in slow motion. After spending $200, we left completely unsatisfied. We have eaten at the Mikuni locations in Fair Oaks and Folsom many times and have never had an experience remotely this bad, which made this visit even more disappointing. I called the restaurant today and spoke with the manager. To his credit, he was very apologetic, listened to everything I had to say, and didn't make excuses. However, after a $200 dinner where the experience was poor from beginning to end, the only resolution offered was a $25 credit. I appreciate the apology, but $25 felt pretty underwhelming considering the overall experience. I guess it'll cover one sushi roll next time--hopefully one that arrives before everyone else is finished eating.

Our server was amazing and all the food runners brought out or dishes as soon as they could. Sometimes it felt like we waited awhile for different items. But some are made at the sushi station and some are made back in the kitchen. We are happy everything is made fresh. Not an all you can eat buffet where everything is pre-made and sitting out. I have noticed at other Asian type restaurants.. the staff is no-nonsense they are there to do a job. At a Very busy restaurant some smile some don't. Or server was very nice we ended up talking to her for a bit. They only offered ice cream type items for dessert. I can't have dairy. It's ok everyone else loved the ice cream. Everything tasted so very good! We are already talking about going back.

The customer service is bare minimum. It's like they go out of their way to speak to you as little…read moreas possible. Only a few tables were occupied during my visit and they still took a few minutes to take my order. The order arrived quick but the tuna and salmon nigiri was not great, didn't taste very fresh, and they drop off the order without saying anything like they're super busy. The ambiance is odd, you can hear a lot of noise from the kitchen area, and even when they're clearing dishes off the table, it was very loud, like they were closed and no customers were around. The music is barely audible, they use harsh lighting that makes the restaurant feel even less hospitable. There's a reason why "It's Sushi" is always packed and people will wait over an hour while this place is dead on a Friday night.
