Sushi here doesn't compare to the Bay Area Sushi. I had high hopes of finding good Sushi spot close by, service felt rushed and the food was ok.Sadly this place didn't live up to the hype. Very nice area, easy to find and they get good reviews. I don't want to be negative I just want good food. I will keep looking...

I ordered Sushi Kuma for takeout and tried the bulgogi tacos, a Yummy Yummy roll, and gyoza. The bulgogi tacos were good--loaded with a generous portion of meat and a sauce that had just the right amount of spice. Enough of a kick to be flavorful without being overwhelming. The Yummy Yummy roll is my favorite here! It's a larger roll filled with shrimp, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, and crab meat. The gyoza is another solid pick and tasted great as usual, though I didn't care for the dipping sauce this time. My order was packaged perfectly, and I appreciated the thoughtful extras like napkins, chopsticks, and soy sauce. Everything traveled well and arrived fresh. Overall, everything was delicious! Sushi Kuma continues to be my go-to spot for sushi and more.

Great lunch here today. Decent prices for solid food. Wanted to get something healthier than pizza or burgers. Half off their rolls. Not bad. Got their Lion King roll. I've had better. Not bad. Not the best. But for $11.00 can't beat it. I got the lunch Bento box with chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki. Very juicy, tender and filling. Good amount of rice, salad and miso soup. Very attentive service and nice staff. Very clean and quiet place to eat. They give you a fortune cookie at the end. That's a first for me at a Japanese restaurant lol.

Sushi Kuma is one of our go to sushi places. Their selection is great and they fish is always fresh. I never had a bad sushi/food here (knock on wood). They are affordable and the service is great.

Spicy Edamame. Doesn't look much because it wasn't 1/5. 1 for being just Edamame.

Cute ambiance wasn't busy when we came on a weekend around 1:30pm. Playing cute holiday songs. First I will start with the good things. I order a lunch bento box my two picks were salmon nigiri and sesame chicken. They pile a good amount of the salad and chicken, rice is small portion tho. There sesame chicken was good it look over cooked but it wasn't. It had some juiciness to it which was good and good flavor. The salad it depends on what you like for me it was okay I like more of a sesame refreshing taste but not bad salad and portion was good. The salmon nigiri was okay. I had better quality at other restaurants before. The miso that came with the bento box was good. Most cases you don't get much tofu and that was the case but flavor was good it had slight sweetness to the soup which was new but still good. On to the thing I didn't like. Their appetizer pepper fin was thick and it tastes frozen different from pepper fin I had that will melt in my mouth. It tasted frozen when you bite into it you can fell that rubber icy texture. We order spicy edamame and it wasn't even spicy and flavor if anything it tasted just more salt so with slight pinch of dried red peppers but for a dollar more I wouldn't waste getting it get the regular one. Also we drank our water pretty fast and it wasn't until we got the bill I had to ask for a refill on water. So this place was okay to each of their own if you guys like this place but it was okay.

Dropped in on a Sunday night. Place was pretty slow so we had the place to ourselves. Service was quick since we were one of a couple tables. Ordered a few items as we were pretty hungry. Food came out quick. I expected the food to taste better. It was just ok. Note that I've been to Japan so my standard for Japanese food is very high. There are a few other places we plan to try before thinking about coming back for more here.

Food was really good and have been a few times. Prices are cheap compared to so many other sushi establishments. Service was very attentive and friendly. Quiet setting and dark as well. Very low key spot

First time here as we wanted to try a new spot in town for bento. Nice clean interior with table and a long banquette across the back wall. And of course the standard sushi counter. Service was efficient. Our dinner bento boxes were a big let down though. Meat in both meals was overcooked and tough. My cal rolls were like day old mushy, not fresh as noticeable by the avocado being brown. Not good at all. The dinner bento box meal is more pricey than other places too... So for us, we will stick with those other places.

This was a semi-random neighborhood choice that really paid off. The criteria was "Sushi near where my best friend lives that has decent reviews" and it checked all the boxes. We pulled up and saw the ubiquitous "50% off rolls" offer and I was temporarily disheartened--not because I don't love a discount, which I most definitely do, but because sometimes if you need a gimmick to draw people in, your sushi doesn't speak for itself. Not the case here. My friend (and frequent comrade in sushi consumption) specifically noted that the sushi tasted fresh, unlike one specific place that runs the 50% "special." I really appreciated the menus, which had a section for beginners and children, but didn't lean as heavily on spicy tuna and cream cheese as so many menus I see. The staff were friendly and helpful; the prices reasonable. We did not veer from sushi, but there were soups, noodles and other non-raw, non-sushi fusion options to choose from as well. Also, my order of an ikura hand roll, which I thought was on the menu, but was not, was met not with dismay, but with questions about how I prefer it prepared--big win.

In a nutshell; Neat place to have sushi and watch sports at since they have a sushi bar side and two tvs playing sports. They have a running 50% off all sushi roll combinations shtick going on , haven't had that in other sushi places I've been to yet so I thought that was interesting. The sushi was rather decent. Wait didn't take too long. Didn't take too long for our order to get taken as well granted we went an hour before closing time but was still accommodated rather well. The booth we were seated at was fairly comfortable. Overall good sushi, not the best but a certainly good place to just have sushi and watch some sports on the side.

Our waiterS were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable in their menu options. One of them was super friendly -- maybe even a bit cheeky! -- and he made us feel at home. Third, ohmygoodness! The food was sooo delicious! The Cantonese-style Seabass paired quite lovely with Shrimp Fried Rice and Combination Veggies!!! The seabass was topped with sliced ginger and onions. It was super tasty! It reminded me of home cooked meals growing up. The shrimp in the fried rice was tender and lighted dusty with some type of flour that made it perfectly crisp. And the combination veggies was perfectly cooked and served in a light sauce! Thing is, I'm not a huge fan of "Asian Fusion" but this place seemed to hit all the boxes for us. Go give Folsom Palace a try! p.s. Each dish was beautifully presented and smelled amazing as they walked up... that I totally forgot to take pictures (lol).

The noodles were flavorful and well-seasoned, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were fresh. Everything tasted great together. However, for $20, I expected a little more. There were only 4 shrimp in the box, which feels like too little for the price. If they had included at least 6-8 shrimp, it would have been much better. The food is delicious, but the value for the money could definitely be improved.

As a Taiwanese person, I was very curious and intrigued by the Indo-Chinese dishes on the menu. The shop was quiet and clean, there was only one other family there during our lunch. So we got seated and placed our order right away. There were several large screen TVs in the dining area playing various shows. One was displaying beautiful sceanaries from the Himalayas and that captured my attention for the longest time. Soon our food came. We ordered the steamed Chicken Momos, the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Naan and they all looked very good. We liked the curry, and the momos were fun to eat. It's a bit different but also very similiar to a Chinese bao. The Momo has much thiner skin and the filling tasted slightly different from a plain meat bao. To me, it feels kinda like a larger version of a soup dumpling without the pool of the broth inside. Needless to say, I found myself studying the momos while stuffing them into my mouth as they were quite delicious and easy to eat. Oveall, we were very glad we gave Everest Chilli Pepper a try as we enjoy the food and would like to try more Indo-Chinese dishes on our next visit.

I was very disappointed in the amount of chicken in their chicken salad as it was very fine shreds mixed in, probably less than a tablespoon if I had to guess. Mostly lettuce and veggies. The soup was good and our server was attentive. My husband ordered Korean barbequed pork over a large bed of thick noodles. In fact, there were much more noodles than meat which was very disappointing, for the price. This place is very upscale, even giving diners large handled paper bags with their restaurant logo printed on them to take home their leftovers or to-go orders. For the uppity price, I'd rather spend our money on better quality, larger amount of ingredients in dishes and more value for our bucks.

Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.
