    Sushi

One of my favorite place to get my sushi fix. I love the different choices they have and how fresh it tastes.

Philadelphia Roll, Eel Cucumber Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll

Tokyo Grill has half-priced sushi on Sundays that never disappoints. My friend and I have dined in for at least four Sundays now, and it's become a sort of weekly tradition! To be honest, I'm unsure if the fish is fresh, but three rolls and a side for $10 is UNBEATABLE and definitely satisfies the craving! I always get miso soup, the eel cucumber roll, a Philadelphia roll, and a spicy salmon roll. The atmosphere is a little lackluster, and the restaurant itself could use some TLC, but the service is always great and my friend and I always have a good time.

Great food. It's fresh and so cheap. I got a shrimp, white rice and mushroom bowl for $7. You can't beat that! Our waitress was great and attentive. I'm from Virginia Beach and came here with a friend who lives here and it's a small town so everybody knows everybody. This is my second time here and I'm not disappointed.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon around 3:30 pm. We were seated immediately. I noticed that the floors were dirty and overall the place needs a good cleaning. We ordered lunch specials which included a hibachi bowl with choice of shrimp, chicken or beef, miso soup, and 3 pieces of a California roll or a spring roll for $7. We also ordered buffalo wings, crab Rangoon, wonton soup and a philly roll and Tokyo roll. Everything was just ok. My son had hair in his plate so they made him another plate. Our server made the experience pleasant but we likely won't return!

    Gyoza (8 Pieces)

For starters we had the gyoza which were some of the best ones I have had in a long time. The outside was super crispy and the inside was tender and full of flavor. It did come with the sauce but considering how good the gyoza was by themselves you don't have to have the sauce. I ordered the hibachi steak with rice and only broccoli. I was not asked how I would like my steak cooked or if I wanted rice or noodles. On the menu it says rice or noodles for the side so I informed the waitress I wanted rice since she didn't ask. The steak ended up being medium to medium rare depending on the piece I ate. That is fine with me since I don't mind a little pink in the middle. The rice was cooked perfectly and was great with the white sauce. My youngest daughter had the chicken kabobs with some kind of sauce on it and she liked it with the sticky sauce since the chicken was dry. Also, the people at the table that was beside us came after we did. Their waitress checked on them several times. Our waitress however only came over once to check on us and then once more to bring the check. If we are in town again I don't mind going back just for the gyoza alone but I might try other food options. They do have sushi but it is pretty expensive for such a small place in a shopping plaza. If I am correct it is about 10 pieces for $24 and 20 for around $40 give or take.

It's not really half off Sundays when your sushi is half the size it normally is and then on top of that you put so much avocado vs. salmon in a salmon avocado roll that I could barely taste the fish. I normally don't post on yelp but this was just ridiculous paying to taste avocado with rice. Highly disappointed with their business ethic. Update: The sushi was so small that even though I ordered an extra roll that I usually do I am less full than I usually am. I will never be ordering from them again on Sundays. I will give them another try on weekdays but if this happens again I will never return.

Yes, I took a 45-50 min road trip for sushi.....don't judge me. So my friend suggested to hit this place up on a Sunday because apparently they have 1/2 priced sushi on Sundays which is definitely a deal to me. I got here around 7:00 and had to wait 15-20 min to be seated. It was definitely a nice crowd there and the waiting area is slightly confusing especially with the to-go orders being right beside the hostess. We were seated by the restrooms which was fine with me. My waitress was pretty nice and was able to explain stuff on the menu for me. Despite the crowd, my food came at a pretty reasonable time. I also got a glass of moscato so I could get a little tipsy while waiting. The sushi tasted amazing!!!!!! Well worth the drive!!!!! I highly recommend coming here!

Love this place. Their hibachi steak and chicken with rice is BOMB.COM. Also, the spring rolls are to die for. Definitely recommend!

Surprisingly they're always busy on Christmas Day with families, which usually means the employees are stressed but service here is always super fast! The only thing that bothered us this time was side effects that we felt the next day. And by we, my mother-in-law, myself, and my sister-in-law both felt a little dizzy, had headaches and swollen the next day. I don't think it's bothered us in the past but it could be potentially some extra MSG added or something. The food is really delicious and we always have lots of leftovers but we chose not to eat the leftovers this time. The interior is the standard Asian theme, which is mostly black, but they do have a karaoke night here during the week so that might be fun. The bartender really pours large size when you order wine ( that's a good thing!) The spring rolls are the best part and I think next time I'm just going to go order 12 spring rolls.

My partner has simple Asian tastes and the accommodated her needs well with a vegetable dish and rice. I chose Red curry. We finished with a shared piece of chocolate lava cake with ice cream. Everything was excellent. The service also made us quite happy. She was quite attentive, even though she was busy. Inside the building which doesn't look great, is a warm inviting atmosphere. Give them a try.

BEWARE OF THE RED PEPPER SYMBOL on the menu!!!! If you love spicy, indulge! If you are sensitive or…read morecan't handle spice, run faaaaar away from these items. Most places put a pepper symbol and it's not spicy at all, but this single red pepper symbol means business!!!!!! I'm sensitive to spice at the moment so eating my food was a bit of a marathon....but in a good way! Think runny nose & sweating hot with tons of delicious flavor. To start, we served wonton strips with a white yum yum type sauce which was a nice surprise. For our app we had the crab puffs (crab ragoons) which of course were not spicy, perfectly crispy and had the right amount of filling. I also ordered a dragon roll which came out after my main entree since the sushi bar was backed up. This actually worked out perfect because the cream cheese in the roll was a great way to calm the spice in my main entree. The mango and crab on the roll were very fresh, and the size was also pretty hefty for being an 8 piece roll. I could have easily made this into a lighter full meal. For my main entree I got the spicy basil with chicken (red pepper sign alert!!!), brown rice and miso soup. The miso soup was good as expected, the brown rice was cooked to perfection and served in a side bowl, and the main entree was plentiful with perfectly cooked veggies & chicken! This dish brought the heat but in a very good way!!! I couldn't get enough of that spicy basil flavor!!!! I only ate half the dish so looking forward to a delicious lunch today! Can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes but while I'm sensitive to spice at the moment I may avoid the pepper symbol for a bit!

My…read morebest friend and I were on a road trip from Richmond, VA to Asheville and this was the halfway point. We were heading to AVL for my bachelorette and throughout the weekend we kept going "GOD THAT RAMEN WAS SO GOOD!" We came on a Wednesday evening. It took a little to get seated and service was on the slower side, but it was worth it. There was a lot of indoor seating and we were seated at a booth. They have mens and womens restrooms at this restaurant. And a lot of free parking out front in their parking lot. We started off with an Alaska roll as an appetizer. This was really delicious! We knew we were off to a great start. I got the black garlic ramen and my best friend got the red spicy oil ramen. We were in heaven. This ramen is beyond delicious. The rich garlicy broth of mine was perfection. Each element was so yummy. I would drive the 3.5 hours back just to get this ramen again. I highly recommend going.
