    Scallion Pancake
    Noemi T.

"Seafood Salad" $8.00, has ONE shrimp split in half and two small pieces of imitation crab with your basic lettuce, tomato/cucumber slices. HORRIBLE. "Scallion Pancake" $5.00, has very LITTLE scallion or spices. Basically a soggy SMALL tortilla. I am very disappointed. I feel like I have been robbed of my money.

Good Sushi for a good price! I went in for my sushi fix and boy was it satisfied. I ordered three kinds: Spicy Shrimp, Crab, & California and they were delicious. This was my first visit. You seat yourself, then someone comes and take your order. The waitress/cashier was on the phone the entire time, but boy I must say she is a "master multi-tasker" haha. She took care of me greatly in spite of. I wouldn't say that this would be my go to Sushi spot, but if I am in the area and have a strong sushi craving I will stop in.

The restaurant quality was decent. I wouldn't say it was good, at least when I visit this place. I had a chicken fried rice. Sadly the chicken was raw on the inside. Had a stomach ache afterward. Friendly staff Clean environment A bit noisy

The Tuna Tataki. Very delicious. Only partly cooked. Wonderful flavor.

5 stars for the food. The sashimi bento box and the tuna tataki were way above incredible. I loved the way the bento box was so well thought out and designed. The tataki was not only delicious, it was well presented. I also liked the fried rice. Like a lot. This is not a good place to escape the heat. The temperature was somewhere in the 80s. In this case, I don't think it's a temporary problem. Judging from the HVAC grilles in the ceiling, I just don't think they have enough cooling to overcome the heat load. I imagine what cool air they do have gets exhausted through that enormous vent hood. This will have to be a winter only stop for me. I spent $30 after tip for lunch for myself. The food was worth the price, but to be served paper napkins, plastic portion cups, a plastic fork, and a bento box that looks like a TV dinner tray, it felt like I was at Arby's. The two boys were adorable. The younger one stayed at his play table, while the older one helped customers. Service would have been non existent without his help, so it was he who I tipped. Hope momma's saving that for his college! I was impressed with how well disciplined he is and it's a huge contrast to the lack of discipline in most kids his age. It does sadden me to think that these children are stuck in a restaurant all day, every day. I hope that's not the case and that they are only part time workers.

    Spicy crawfish roll!

Tokyo Grill exceeded my expectations! Prices were incredible. I ordered the Hurricane roll, spicy crawfish roll, cheese pockets (Crab Rangoon), and Miso soup. The Miso soup was so good I ended up drinking it from the bowl. The cheese pockets were the best I've ever had...and saying that actually makes me feel like a traitor to my favorite Downtown Memphis sushi place, but hey, when you get EIGHT huge tasty pockets for half the price I pay to get three small ones, sometimes loyalties change! The sushi was fabulous but I was so full from the soup and cheese pockets I ended up taking the majority of my sushi home with me! It's enough for three meals, no joke. Our waitress was adorable and very sweet. She was the only person working the dining room during a lunch rush and she never disappointed! She was on top of everything! She sent us away with hanging calendars to put in our offices. Overall, loved it. Simple as that. Oh, and my bill for all that food and another two rolls and bowl of soup for a friend was less than $30!

I definitely agree with some other Yelpers who said that the cream chees won tons are excellent. Perhaps the best I've ever had. Huge and enjoyable! The crunchy shrimp roll, however, was just so-so. I'm sure it lost some of it's luster as I had everything to go so by the time I got home, well, you know. EXCEPT... somehow, a ghost in my car on the way home ate 4 of those won tons! Damn ghost. I look forward to returning, getting a fried rice dish, and some more won tons for sure.

Great food and service. Shrimp and veggies were fresh. Sushi Roll was fresh and on point as well. With the multiple locations that they have, I am sure I will be visiting soon and very often.

I really like this place. The best Miso soup that I have ever had. The sushi rolls are pretty large, especially for your money. Everything I have tried, except the fried oysters (which were just heavy on batter), has been really good. They have Yum-Yum sauce! That sauce can make anything taste great...probably anything. I usually do take-out from here because the interior is pretty small and, at times, pretty loud. What is that next door?? A dance club? I swear the music from next door is going to knock the frames off of the wall some day. In my experience...if you call in an order, add about 10-15 minutes to the quoted time they give you. You can't go wrong with the steak hibatchi. Don't forget the Yum-Yum sauce!! Seriously.

Shrimp fried rice (the shrimp is hiding) and sushi
    Anna R.

This is my favorite location of the three. It feels smaller than the other locations, but the food portions are bigger. Thats a trade off I'll accept gladly. We ordered three rolls (Alaska, Spicy tuna, Salmon) and a shrimp fried rice. Usually the salmon roll has the seeweed on the outside, but at this location it was on the inside. Still yummy though. The rice was delicious as usual, shrimp was cooked perfectly, and they actually gave us our fried rice on a plate and not in a to go box.

It came with miso soup, a salad, salmon, rice, and vegetables. It was so tasty and well seasoned that I didn't have to add any sauce. It was also very filling. They have a full sushi menu that I'm interested in trying. However, during this visit, I got the spicy crab roll. It was good and just enough to satisfy my sushi craving. The waitress was very attentive. She checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. Love it!

A bit of a head-scratcher with their closing times…read more.. I walked in at 2:00 PM on a weekday, expecting to get a quick lunch since their posted hours say they are open until 2:30 PM. Apparently, that is not quite how it works here. The hostess explained that the posted hours are "off" and laid out a pretty confusing timeline of how they actually operate: At 2:00 PM: Dining inside officially ends, because the servers stop working. Until 2:15 PM: You can still place a to-go order because the kitchen is technically open. At 2:30 PM: The restaurant actually closes. So, if you arrive at 2:00 PM, you are strictly limited to takeout. It is a bit frustrating to be turned away from dining in a full half-hour before the scheduled closing time just because the staff is already winding down. If the dining room closes at 2:00 PM, it would be a lot easier for everyone if they just updated their posted hours to reflect that.

We also really liked the decor inside the restaurant, but this time we actually dined on the patio, which made for a nice change of pace So we ordered the wings, and they absolutely delicious --we liked them so much we ordered a second round. The crawfish dumplings were also solid, but the wings were the standout of the meal. We also tried the Bake MF Margarita, which I expected to taste like tea, but it's actually a refreshing peach-flavored margarita. At about $22, it's generously sized for two people and definitely worth trying. Our server, Mason, was very nice and made great selections for us. Overall, I'm giving Good Fortune Company (4/5). The only reason it wasn't a perfect score was the missing Slap Noodles. Even so, I'd happily return and hope to try them next time. Next time im ordering Ramen!

Our waitress, Grace quickly became like family with her outgoing personality, attention to detail and knowledge of all the local foodie places to hit up with honest reviews of each. We chatted like we were old friends and she was patient with a few meal adjustments even complimenting some choices saying the chef is going to be so excited to see you ordering filet correctly! (In case you're wondering, always med rare - never well done!) The food was great, the ambience cozy and the service was out of this world! We asked Grace why no one was in? She told us they are one of downtown Memphis best kept secrets but that the chef caters some pretty big local entities. Well, Memphis and those traveling thru, it's high time you know about this place! Extensive menu with sushi choices, hibachi, as well as other options for those seeking options. A refreshing soup option was the onion soup so I tried it and it was delicious. It was an onion broth with scallion, mushroom and tempura pieces. I also tried the spicy tuna roll, and while it's great that it came out at lightning speed, it did not look like it was freshly made. I did ask for extra ginger and the waitress really delivered, she brought a whole mini bowl extra, my favorite, I lastly tried onion tempura (great deal at less than $2). The first piece I tried was crunchy, hot, delicious. The remaining pieces were end/top of the onion and it looked like it still had dirt at the top. It turned me off to finishing the rest. Mixed feelings about this experience overall, probably won't return.
