    Spicy Tuna roll
    Mark U.

Great find in Northfield! The Sushi menu is well done; it shows that the sushi chef is proud of their work and takes pride in the presentation of their roles! The spicy tuna never disappoints, but the star of the night was the spicy shrimp! The crab Rangoon appetizer was fantastic as were the pot-stickers. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. The cold Sake was excellent and reasonably priced. If you're in Northfield and looking for a place for Sushi, this is worth the stop.

This place is incredibly pedestrian. If you have a sushi craving, this will fill your need but it won't knock your socks off. The miso soup was served warm, not hot and it was just salty. The rolls I ordered were formed very well, but they were just so blah. Spicy tuna should be spicy, right? The service was pleasant enough and the atmosphere was decent. Those two things are not enough to get me back. I would choose Mizuki Fusion a few miles away in Faribault.

    Entree - Hibachi Combo

Pretty good, no doubt. I recently moved to the commercial/industrial wastes on the outskirts of Northfield, where this restaurant is located. So far, I've found there to be a severe shortage of quality food within walking distance of where I live on Clinton Ln. Tried Tokyo Grill tonight, and wasn't disappointed. Place was busy but service was prompt. Refilled my iced tea constantly. Had the hibachi steak/shrimp, edamame and a spicy tuna hand roll. All were good, for a place does that does the hibachi in the back and not in front of you while flinging shrimp at your face/setting things on fire. Entree portion could have been a little bigger, but oh well. I'm sure I'll go again. So far, this place and George's are the only two I've found within a mile walking (with a sidewalk available) that are worthwhile. I'll keep looking, and always looking for suggestions.

YUM YUM TIME! Had a yummylicious Liza dinner at one of Carleton College's most esteemed dining out options! Can't start without Miso soup and the house salad. Delicious per usual. Liza and I advanced to the the gyoza: mediocre in flavor, but perfectly crispy! Liza enjoyed her California roll with a side of chicken (sauce included!). I stuck with my usual chicken bento box and it did not disappoint. But the real star of the show is the yum yum sauce. Takes your breath away in every bite and drowns your tongue in yummy goodness. Till next time Tokyo grill!

This place is worth driving to for good sushi. Many awesome choices, decent prices, excellent service, and good specials that are not on the regular menu. Everything we got was exceptional. My favorite was the Pink Lady Roll. Got a special called Fire Roll, also delicious! Gyoza, nigiri, and tamago were all just as good. So pleased with everything here. Living in the southern suburbs, this will be my new go-to spot for sushi.

Tokyo Grill is one of the best sushi places I've visited! The price is unbeatable and the staff is always wonderful. I would always have the miso soup ($2) and one of the special rolls (most about $10-11) and that is pretty much the best $13 meal you can get anywhere. The dragon roll, golden age roll, or crunchy roll is great for a tempura fan like me. My friend loved the sushi deluxe (chef's choice of 9 pieces of sushi and a tuna roll) and the bento boxes as well. The lunch special is also worth checking out, tons of delicious food for a great price. They are incredibly fast with take out orders and go above and beyond when dining in. I came with my boyfriend this spring for his birthday and they brought out a complimentary fried banana which was very nice. Can't recommend more!

Really not impressed. The rice was overdone and rest of meal seamed day old. We arrived about 11:30 am. Won't go here again.

She was an absolute gem--friendly, attentive, and genuinely interested in getting to know our family dynamic. Before she left, she was saying, "pass this to mommy, this is grandma's, etc." SO cute! She offered great recommendations, and put some minds at ease for first time sushi goers, which made it all the more fun. I will note that we had some folks doing AYCE, and others ordered Ala carte, and this made no difference to our waitress, or Kumo! The Ala carte portion sizes were huge! The food? Hot, fresh, and delivered with lightning speed. Like seriously, I thought they had secret microphones under the table. We couldn't believe how quickly everything arrived--no waiting around, just one delicious dish after another. And let me tell you, we left so miserably full that we could barely waddle out the door, but it was worth every bite. If you're looking for excellent service, delicious food, and a great vibe, Kumo Sushi is great - go!

The whole ambience and vibe of the restaurant is really nice. Granted, we were the only people there at the time, but it's still a really cozy and relaxing atmosphere in my opinion. The waitress that helped us was more than kind as well. Very nice, great service. The only thing I wish they would've asked is if we wanted the bill split, they just brought it to both of us. I was with my sister so we had to split it later. We didn't want to inconvenience them so we just paid the full bill. The BBQ pork bun was absolutely amazing. For only $5.50, I would recommend getting it as an appetizer. It's a fairly decent size too so you could split it with at least one other person. Or, you could have the whole thing to yourself!!! I'll probably get one just for me next time. I liked the chicken satay skewers. Those are really good. But, I was expecting more than just two small chicken skewers for the cost. Really good flavor though. Then we got sushi rolls. They were all fantastic. I remember I got the Ooka Roll. It's the most expensive role on the menu, but it's fantastic. I think we also got the 150th roll. Also fantastic. Overall, I really recommend this place if you want some sushi. Just be prepared to pay a lot of money. If you need a cheaper option, there are other sushi places that are a bit cheaper close by. But these guys are very good and I will be back. I would rate 4.5 out of 5 stars, but Yelp only lets me do full stars - so I'm bumping it up to a 5. I'm excited to try their hibachi when we go back, and more sushi.

It's a very small shop, with room for maybe 5 to 8 people total, if I remember correctly. That said, it seemed clean and well maintained. I loved the large digital menu. We ate inside, and my only complaint was that the tables felt a little sticky. We got there right when they opened on a Sunday, and aside from a few people stopping in for takeout, we had the place to ourselves. We started with the popcorn chicken and yum yum sauce. I'm not sure if they make the breading themselves or if it's frozen chicken that's simply deep fried, but I really liked it. In fact, I liked it so much that I ate most of it without the yum yum sauce, which surprised even me because I usually drown everything in yum yum sauce. My wife got the avocado roll and snow crab roll and really enjoyed it. She especially liked that each piece wasn't overloaded with rice. That was a big plus for her. I got the Fuji Roll. I liked it, but I didn't love it. I'd probably try something different next time, though I don't have any major complaints. It just wasn't my favorite sushi roll. Price wise. It's sushi so not cheap, but I think it's very much in line with other sushi shops and maybe even cheaper at times. It did take a long time for our order to be ready. But I know that can happen when making sushi. But don't walk-in assuming you are going to be in and out in 10-15 mins. It can take a while. I do wish our appetizer would have came first instead of waiting and getting everything at once. That also could have made the wait time feel less. The biggest thing that contributed to my star deduction was that they don't offer free water. It felt a little odd to have to buy a bottled water in 2026 at a restaurant, just to have something to drink with lunch.

I don't know whether it was called Asian Pacific Market at the time. I remember bringing my mom to check the place out when she was visiting. It was run by a couple. I ended up getting a case of ramen noodles because I have always loved eating them growing up. While checking out my old neighbourhood, I swung by to check this market out again. The Chinese restaurant that I never frequented is still in this plaza, across from this store. I believe that this market took over another store and tore down a wall. It's definitely larger than I remember it to be. I parked and walked inside. I loved seeing all ingredients to create your own banh mi. The snacks looked good, from shrimp flavour chips, to roasted seaweed. I was happy. The man cashing folks out asked me if I needed any help. I was browsing and reminiscing. I was good. I ended up getting a box of Choco Pie. Each pie is individually wrapped. Chocolate and banana work nicely together. I ended up bringing half of them back to Canada because my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I found Korean ramen and decided to give it a try. I got the mild flavour, which had a bit of a kick. I loved how chewy the noodles were. Full marks for them. You can only pay with a credit card if your total is at least $10. Thankfully, mine was. My credit card transaction worked nicely. The man was personable and helpful. We wished each other a great night as I happily headed to my car with my purchases. I like that there are more places in the city to get Asian ingredients and food. I'm happy that this market is still here. It was nice being back. (451)
