This place is always a solid choice! The chefs are always entertaining and kind, the food is always delicious, the sushi is also very good! The vibe of the place is fun and it's always a good choice! It's clean. I love the jalepino specialty roll, it has pickled jalepino in there and it's delish! Their started salad has the most delicious ginger dressing in the world! I could literally eat that salad every single day. The girls love their steak and chicken habachi dinner. We visited on 8/9/26. The ambiance was fine, a little on the cold side temperature-wise but fine. It smelled a little funny but we just thought it was because of the sushi. My husband visited the restroom and found that it was very messy and needed to be cleaned. The service was ok but the staff seemed to be bored or tired. The food really needs improvement. The potstickers were good but the soup and sushi were not. Sushi bar is cluttered nobody can sit at the sushi bar. There is no sushi in the sushi bar fridges they just hoarded it out. Bathrooms are so hot because they only use air conditioner in the middle of the building. There's also a hole in the second stall where I tripped. Neither my partner nor my son had ever had Habachi before, so after wedding dress shopping, my partner and son met my sisters and I here. We were sat quickly, which was nice, but our waitress only gave us three menus. We got drinks, soup, and salad out soon as my son was starving. We ordered a few sushi rolls and, of course, the hibachi. Our cook was terrific and interactive with my son. He had some toy military figurines in his pocket that he gave to him to keep and play with. We had fun catching broccoli and watching food being cooked, and the portion sizes were huge. We all took home leftovers! I was craving sushi in my usual place was closed so the next place I popped in my head was Tokyo Hana (mainly because my dining companion did not want sushi). When this visit we decided to sit in the sushi area, which is pretty spacious. We were sat right in front of the sushi station, which was cool. We had a view of all the fish and the sushi chefs. From what I saw the restaurant was very clean, and there were a lot of staff, walking around, eating pizza, and just celebrating New Year's Eve with one another. Our way was really attentive, and very nice even help me to decide between rolls. For the appetizer, my dining companion ordered the Gyoza. I thought it tasted okay, and could've been a little better. My lunch companion, got the shrimp hibachi lunch and came with miso soup and the waiter also gave me one, and it was really delicious. To start, I got two pieces of Hamachi ($5.99 not pictured) it was okay I can't tell if it was super fresh, but it definitely was soft and didn't taste bad. For my rolls I got the basic roll ($10.49) which is basically crab meat, cucumber, and avocado inside with spicy tuna on top. Out of the two this was my favorite roll, it was a good size, and I could eat it in one bite, and the flavor was good as well. For my next roll, I got the floresta ($13.99) which is basically shrimp, tamper and cucumber with crab meat and salmon on top. This role was good as well but it was definitely a cram the entire thing in your mouth or take two bite to finish roll and I don't really like that because it can get messy. I have eaten at Tokyo Hana 5 or 6 times. There are much better Japanese steakhouse/sushi options in the Albuquerque metro than this restaurant. To be fair, I have only ate in the hibachi side. The food is consistently mediocre with my biggest issue being the overall lack of flavor. The portions are descent and prices are reasonable; so maybe you get what you pay for. Every time I've eaten there, the chef seemed disinterested and not a great performer... after all, that is generally why most people choose the hibachi grill side. It seems the prime real estate on Coors blvd. and the malls 'restaurant row' may encourage customer churn over wowing guests so they come back... at least it feels that way. And lastly, many Japanese steakhouse hibachi 'pits' do this, and this restaurant is no acception: after you are served your initial round of drinks, it is very difficult to flag down someone to get a second. Aren't alcoholic beverages the biggest profit center? I don't know why this part is difficult to execute. read more

This was one of our better experiences here. They have upped their game. This was a very good chef, full of tableside tricks and show before starting to cook our meal. The kids liked the baby bottle sprayed lemonade into their open mouth and catching flying rice. All of food was well prepared. The California Roll, the edamame and goyza were great starts to our meal. The shrimp, chicken, and filet were all good, as well as the fried rice, the noodles, and mixed veggies. We arrived here on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 5:30 PM. Luckily, we were seated immediately and beat the dinner rush by about 15 minutes. When we walked in, the hibachi side was full and the sushi side of the restaurant had some empty tables. We ordered the nigiri: Hamachi/yellowtail tuna (2 pieces for $5.99) and shiro maguro/white tuna (2 pieces for $5.49). We ordered a spider roll ($11.99) with fried softshell crab, cucumber, avocado with eel sauce. I ordered the Tokyo Hana special roll ($14.99) which included salmon, tuna, white tuna wrapped with cucumber and topped with seaweed salad and ponzy sauce. The food took surprisingly long to come. In fact, our waiter brought us the wrong order by mistake. My wife's roll was better than mine, but I like the freshness of my roll. Wife didn't care for my roll at all. The white tuna tasted much better than the yellowtail, which surprised me. We heard the hibachi room with lots of laughter and some lively conversations. The nigiri was average but i think if we had ordered some of the special rolls, they would have wowed us. Would like to visit again on the hope that the slow service was an aberration. I had lunch here today with three friends. We arrived at 11:30am and didn't leave until about 2:30pm. The food was plenty and delicious with many vegan and meat options. The Service was outstanding. We had the tempura udon noodle soup, Mongolian beef, and Sake Nigiri sushi. $34. The Nigiri tasted great but the sushi rice was a bit dry. The Mongolian beef was the least flavorful I've ever had. The beef didn't taste like anything but it had plenty of onions and lots of jalapenos. It was different - but, if you go to pei wei for the Mongolian beef don't get this one. You'll be sad. The tempura was in the middle. We've had better and we've had worse. The Udon was strange as it was filled with tons of carrots, celery and cabbage which made the broth taste only like cabbage and celery. The best part of the meal was the excellent service. read more

2 out of 5 stars I really wanted to give this hibachi place a fair try, but unfortunately my experience fell short. We waited about 40 minutes before the chef even began cooking, which was tough since we were already seated. We ordered an appetizer that we were later told (about 8 minutes after ordering) wasn't available -- communication could've been better there. When I asked what kind of oil they used, I was told "vegetable oil." I requested olive oil or butter instead, but my food was still cooked using a vegetable oil base. I was at least able to stop them from adding butter on top. For me, food quality and ingredients are important, and it was disappointing to feel like my preferences weren't respected. The people working there were polite, but overall customer service felt inattentive. I only ended up eating the steak since the vegetables and rice were cooked in vegetable oil, and I wasn't asked if I preferred white or fried rice either. I truly wish this establishment the best and appreciate their effort, but it's not a good fit for me personally. I hope they take this feedback constructively -- a bit more attention to communication, timing, and ingredient requests could really elevate the experience. read more

We did the Hibachi and the service was A+. Everything with steak was delicious and the meat was tender. The appitizer servings are wonderful. But, I was disappointed in the rice and noodles served with our entrees, bland and flavorless. Needed lots of sauce to give those any flavor at all. My scallops were undercooked, and I like a good brazing on both side of a scallop, so I brought those home to cook myself later. The price for dinners though was on the high end. Can't say too much about the food. Rice and California roll tasted old. Not fresh. The beef roll and egg roll were fine. The service was good. Attentive but not intrusive. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. As much as I was impressed with the decor I just can't bring myself to eat at a RESTAURANT that they don't keep a clean establishment. This is their first day open so it's a bit chaotic and we have had wait staff confusion and mishaps but our mainwaitress is sweet though inexperienced. Bad choice of loud rap/popular music. Strange menu layout with a lack of commas. It's difficult to understand what the description actually is. Miso soup was ok. Godzilla roll was deep fried and I ended up not loving the cooked spicy tuna. Crazy Kevin was very good and my favorite. Love roll was large and hard to pick up with chopsticks but overall a good roll. Our waitress asked if we wanted dessert. We asked what they had and she said good question and went to find out. We ordered the tempura cheesecake. Tempura cheesecake was interesting. Came with a garnish of carrots and parsley and Hershey's chocolate syrup. I'd vote no on that. In closing, this restaurant was alright. Nothing to write home about. I prefer Ichiban or Sakura for sushi. I'd have to try the hibachi here to give a review on that. Dining on Tokyo Hana take-out was like riding a roller coaster...whizzing to the top..like 4 Floors, we settled in on the most delicious Sushi "New York Roll" filled with scrumptious fresh Tuna and Salmon...the ginger and wasabi nicely rounded it out...then resting on the window sill was the most fabulous Seaweed Salad..cool on your lips with luscious flavor...then as our coaster car preceded down...from the 3rd Floor to the Very Bottom waiting 1st for us was the dish of Shrimp Yaki Udon. The udon noodles perfectly cooked in a nice sauce with sparse tasty caramelised grilled onions...Then our coaster car took a serious dive with Hammered Over Cooked Inedible Shrimp (H.O.C.I.S.). Nothing pocus about this sad ending. My favorite Sushi place was closed on Labor Day so I gave Tokyo Hana a try. Had it delivered by Grubhub. Ordered a couple of appetizers (vegetable tempura and Gyoza dumplings) and they turned out to be the best part of the meal. Ordered 5 nigiri sushi (salmon, mackerel, yellowtail, red snapper and tuna) and 2 Rolls (lobster tempura and soft shell crab). The fish was dry and seemed like it was days old. This is the worst restaurant we have been to in a long time. To start, it took forever to get our food. Then they brought me calamari breaded like onion rings instead of the calamari tempura that I ordered. I had to explain the difference on their own menu to the manager. I couldn't even get a straight answer when she took it away if my correct food was coming out. My other dish was salmon nigiri and it was okay but smelled very fishy. My mom and I had ordered our sushi on separate plates with no ginger or wasabi due to allergy issues. They brought it out all on the same plate covered in a sweet brown sauce. That my mom couldn't have but was all over her cucumber rolls. We asked them to take it back and fix it but you could tell they just moved the same items to different plates so we ate around the allergens as best we could. On our way out, they brought me my calamari "tempura" to go but it was the same thing they brought me before. Then I watched as our same waitress brought another customer his shrimp and fries and actually ATE a fry off his plate before giving it to him! I gotta say walking in the place with the heavy gold grand doors feels like your walking into the grand palace. The decor was very classy and elegant with a little fun. Immediately I was welcomed. My dad had arrived before me so he was waiting in the seated waiting area for me. Once I arrived and I discovered the hibachi grill and from there it was a no brainer for me and my dad where we wanted to sit. Because they were preparing one for us we had to wait a few minutes so in the mean time I walked around the dinning area to get the feel of the place. Around the wall across from the entrance is a small koi pond with koi fish swimming around and a water stream falling against the wall. It was quite lovely. Toward the back was the sushi bar where they had a wide selection of sushi they prepare. I found myself fascinated by the water display on the wall near the restrooms as they made jellyfish shaped bubbles as well as some larger bubbles that looked similar to the Bullet Bill from the Mario games lol. Once we got seated at the grill we were immediately greeted by our server who took our drink orders, as well appetizer requests. My dad and I chose to try the Haru Maki which essentially was a Japanese spring roll with duck sauce. Our drinks arrived in a timely fashion and our server took our order. We both went with the hibachi filet mignon and shrimp. I had mine medium and my dad had his medium rare. Before the chef arrived we were handed the soup and salad. The soup was a broth with mushroom and chives. It had a strong hint of pepper. It was good but the pepper was a bit too strong. The salad had a ginger dressing which wasn't strong on the ginger flavor which was good because I'm not a huge fan of ginger. So I actually enjoyed the dressing because it was sweet and subtle. When the chef arrived we had a good show. He double checked our order before preparing to make sure it was correct and asked how we like our steak cooked. First up was the fried rice, let me tell you we got served a good portion. It was a lot more than I had anticipated! After he started cooking the seafood. The family that sat with us had ordered some lobster as well as shrimp. My shrimp was cooked well with a hint of lime it was a nice flavor. After the seafood was cooked and passed out he prepared the meats. Our filets were cooked just as we asked. Tender and juicy full of that delicious flavor you expect from filet mignon. Lastly the veggies and noodles were cooked. I have to say those noodles were just the right texture and the way it was seasoned, I was hooked from the first bite! The veggies weren't too hard on the teeth either. Some of these places tend to not cook the veggies long enough to soften them up. Our shift cooked then just right that I enjoyed every last bite. I have to say this place left a rather nice impression on me. I love a good hibachi dinner and this place has definitely won me over. I left so full yet so happy. Price wise it was about part to what you expect at other hibachi restaurants in town. This place well worth every penny. I definitely recommend you get the hibachi dinner experience there. THRILLED to have hibachi in this part of town and even better that they are fantastic! We brought a party of 13 with us and from start to finish they were great. (They do not seat incomplete parties; keep this in mind.)Our waitress promptly took all of our drink orders, returned for our food orders, and made sure our glasses were full throughout our dinner. We ordered many different hibachi dinners and sushi. Our chef cooked for 10 of us at once! Yes, you read right, TEN PEOPLE, all the while cooking the meat to the correct temperatures, keeping food allergies in mind, and keeping us all entertained. He was incredible! You could clearly tell this wasn't his first hibachi rodeo. Flavor, meat, seafood, sushi, drinks-- everything was an A+! We can't wait to return! read more
