All you can eat sushi lunch buffet? I am in there! We used to go to IchiUmi in NYC for sushi buffet so I was excited this was available in ABQ. My friend was nervous because she thought the sushi was already premade and laying out. Its not! They make the sushi for you when you order. Theres not enough foot traffic for the sushi to be premade - so lucky for us everything is freshly made! Solid prices as long as you can put down a lot of rolls! They also have good happy hour deals. Private lot with ample parking.

This place is great! Very large selection of sushi, appetizers, teriyaki, and hibachi at a very good price. The place was pretty busy for a Friday night, yet our orders came out pretty quickly. I definitely look forward to coming here again. The Tuna Tataki and Takoyaki were amazing appetizers. I've been wanting to try Takoyaki for quite some time. The rolls are big and made fresh to order. Before tip, our bill came out to just a little over $50 for my 12 year old and I, making it a great value for the quality of food. Place was comfortable, with plenty of seating. We did have to ask for water refills as they don't automatically keep them filled, but that's minor thing compared to the rest of the experience. We did have to remind our server of our last order as it may have gotten lost or given to someone else, but hiccups do happen and they came out quickly again. I look forward to my next visits here.

The sushi itself was very good. However all three stars lost goes to the service. We placed our first order and about 5 min later our calamari appetizer came out. About 5 min later one roll and about 10-15 min later the remaining 5 rolls came out. So the bulk of the rolls took at least 25 min from order time. We ate our rolls and about halfway through we were trying to get our waitress' attention since everything seemed to be slow. We waited at least 20-30 min to place our second order which was for two rolls and tuna tataki appetizer. Rolls came out pretty quickly... tuna never arrived. Either the place is understaffed, it's an AYCE tactic to save money or it was just our waitress? Not sure but for AYCE slow service is a deal breaker.

Popular place for a Thursday evening! Nice menus for around $30 of all-u-can-eat sushi, starters, entrees, etc. food came out quicker than I thought with as many people that were there. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. I didn't label all of the pics, but each roll or item we had was delicious. Nice that the rolls were heavy on the rice as I've seen in other places. Good place to get your sushi fix!

We came here on Saturday around 4pm. We were lucky to get a parking spot close by, just based on thr shopping plaza and all thr surrounding businesses. We were greeted and seated pretty quickly. Just the two of us and we got the all you can eat for $30. This includes everything on the menu. The interior is a little dated, but it's not going to deter from a sushi craving. I forget the name of the rolls we ordered, but some of the premium rolls were pretty hefty. It was alot of rice. We also had an order of shrimp and veggie tempura and the tempura batter was something we werent use to for Japanese tempura. The calamari tasted like it was prepared from frozen (wouldn't recommend). Overall everything tasted fine and out server was great with filling our drinks and checking on us to see if we wanted to put in other orders. If you come with an appetite, you'll get great value with the all you can eat sushi. I would suggest on getting rolls with a variety of flavors. Some of the rolls have similar ingredients and they all might taste same. I think the dinner rush was coming in as we were leaving. I wasn't blown away by anything, but the food was good. I am always concerned with AYCE sushi, with the fear of getting sick and I had no issues with the food. We will be back to try other rolls and other items off the menu.

Hungry, can't decide on what or where. But sushi always works. Decided on here to see if they can repeat their success with us. Actually They didn't - they exceeded it! Five rolls, the Texas Roll was our favorite. Excellent service, great sushi served promptly. As I said in my original review -AYCE places tend to scrimp on ingredients - not here.

Went on Sunday at opening, service was quick and the food was great was bummed they were out of one of the appetizers but what I did have I enjoyed and it was a great value for what we were served and the decorations were great very relaxing vibe.

My friend loves to come here for all-you-can-eat sushi. I'll admit I was skeptical and kept putting him off but finally, we went. It was great! The shop is clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. It truly is all-you-can-eat but no to-go sushi. If you can't finish your roll and want it to go, then it is full price. Which isn't a problem in my opinion. I was impressed with the quality of the sushi and the options. Everything we had was delicious and my friend packed away 15 rolls! So well worth the $20 per person. Be sure to check it out!

Overall: Yoshi Mame is well priced for AYCE lunch and can satisfy a craving, but it has room for improvement: Food: 3 We tried a variety of appetizers, and our favorite was the calamari. The fried food was crispy but very oily. The fish quality in the nigiri was ok, but I did not like the rice. The ball of rice was way too compact and firm, and the individual grains of rice lacked the mild chewy/sticky texture of sushi rice. The roll selection was decent, but the eel sauce was a little too sweet. Service: 5 Food came out at a decent pace. Our server was attentive and always checked in to see if we wanted to order anything more. Ambiance: 5 The restaurant has plenty of seating for small or large parties.

    Can they accommodate gluten free?

What is the fish to rice ratio like for the sushi here?

I would say the sushi is similar to what you'd get if you were buying each roll/piece separately. Not an overabundance of rice or skimpy on the fish. We thought the fish was fresh and good quality. Hope this helps.

Is the whole menu available for AYCE or is there a different menu?

    The whole menu is AYCE

It is not the biggest restaurant, and is popular, so I would recommend being prepared to wait during "popular busy time" but it is so worth the wait. So I also recommend waiting. The staff is always pretty friendly and accommodating. I shared an app, a roll and an order of salmon sashimi with a friend on both visits. The food is always fresh, and delicious! I never feel like I am being overcharged for what I get either. Going to eat for sushi can feel like that sometimes. The quality of the food is great and everything is always aesthetically pleasing as well. I had their avocado bomb on my last visit and I was delightfully surprised with it. I like avocado in most cases, but sometimes, it can be a lot at one. I thought this was going to be like that when I saw it, but I was wrong. I look forward to getting one of these on my next visit! On my last visit my friend and I saved room for a dessert, one that we saw rotating on their screens that they have in the restaurant showcasing some of the menu items. It was a take on a bananas foster. It looked delicious but alas, we'll see if we can manage to get it next time. Note to self, have dessert first on next visit?

The final price (paying with cash) was $102.32 before the tip, which seems very fair given the size of the portions and the quality. The fish was not the very highest quality, but it was very good. The wasabi was some of (if not) the best that I've ever had. The soy and eel sauces were made in-house, and were excellent. Presumably, the rest of the sauces were house-made as well. Leo was a very good and friendly server. The atmosphere was very relaxed but could be suitable for something fancier. The one thing that hurts is the price; as fair as it is, I do wish that it were a smidgen less.

The two rolls I ordered were better than last time. One was The Green Dragon (i think) using Avacado instead of seaweed. The other was Lobster Dance which is scallops and lobster. The Green dragon was okay. The Lobster Dance would have been a lot better without the overpowering sauce. The nigir were okay, but I prefer my nigiri to not have a lot sauce and all three I ordered were heavily covcered in their cloying (oyster based?) sauce. The Monkey Balls were meh, I've had way better here. The Seaweed Salad was excellent which I think was true last time. That's why Sakura Sushi & Grill stood out right away. They clearly label gluten-free options on the menu. They also offer gluten-free soy sauce, which is a huge win. Even better, they have lunch specials with gluten-free options, which is rare. It's located in Riverside Plaza in Albuquerque, just past the river on the west side. I ordered the Sushi Lunch A with premium fish and chose the double salmon roll. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the portions were great for the price. The miso soup that comes with lunch isn't gluten-free, but they brought me a side salad with an amazing gluten-free dressing instead. I felt confident eating here, which is not something I say often. I didn't have any reaction afterward and would absolutely eat here again. One of the coolest surprises: they make their own wasabi in-house. It's not on the menu, but if you ask, they'll bring it out, and it is absolutely worth it. We considered getting a sushi boat, but the lunch specials were a better value for lunch. If we went for dinner, we would absolutely order a boat. I also had hot sake, which paired perfectly with the meal. At the end, they even brought us a sweet cinnamon tea for my friend's birthday, even though we didn't order dessert. Service was warm and attentive the entire time. My friend has a shellfish allergy, and the server made sure her plate only included fin fish, which we really appreciated. We went around 1:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, and it was quiet with only a few other tables. The atmosphere felt calm and relaxed, with a casual, comfortable vibe that made it easy to sit and actually enjoy a conversation without feeling rushed. They close at 3 and reopen for dinner, so it's a great low-key lunch spot if you time it right. My friend also mentioned she brings her young kids here often, and the woman manager or owner is especially kind and welcoming to them. I enjoyed this place so much that I called my husband on the way home to tell him all about it. We're already planning to go back with our kids, which will make this my second visit in one week. If you're gluten-free, this place is a gem. And even if you're not, the quality, service, and overall experience make it absolutely worth a visit.

Disappointing first experience…read more Why would you call a customer and not leave a voicemail? For a first experience with Tokyo Bangkok, this was incredibly disappointing. My husband picked up an order that I had placed online. About 30 minutes after he picked it up, I noticed I had a missed call from the restaurant. The only voicemail left was essentially, "It's like a robot." Yes--that's the call screening...but why not leave an actual voicemail explaining why you were calling? Since I was still at work, I asked my husband to call the restaurant. We then learned that the main item we had paid for was never included in our order. I appreciate that you offered a refund for the missing item, but my husband specifically asked if the missing food could simply be delivered since it was the restaurant's mistake, and that request was declined. That was particularly frustrating. If the restaurant realized an item had been left out, why not clearly communicate that when calling? And if we hadn't noticed the missed call or followed up, would we ever have been notified about the missing item? Mistakes happen, but it's how a business handles those mistakes that makes a lasting impression. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with Tokyo Bangkok, and instead of leaving us excited to order again, it left a very bitter taste. I hope this was an isolated incident, but better communication and customer service would have made a significant difference
