We wanted to try this place based on yelp reviews. We went in but they took a while to sit us down. They weren't as friendly to us as they were to the other people who walked in. We finally sat down and tried a few things. We had tempura (it was alright) and gyoza (the sauce was heavy and wasn't that great) kind of ruined the gyoza. I ordered the everett about $7 and the other one I got was about $15. I got it and it was super tiny and not that great. I was expecting more for that price. I'm a believer in second chances but Oshimas is still the best sushi I've eaten in this area. What makes a difference is when the staff are kind since that didn't happen that may have affected how I felt about this place. Maybe will come back again not too sure. I've been to many sushi restaurants in my travels with my wife. However, The best sushi we have ever found is in Everett at Tokyo House. The staff is always friendly and the food is always awesome. The Sushi is very fresh and the size of the portions is very generous . I just can't say enough about this place. Don't waste your money at an all you can eat sushi belt. I tried this place for lunch based on the yelp reviews and it was super close to where I work. I ordered a california roll, blondie roll and edemame togo, I was shocked it was $28 plus tip for 3 items, as I sat and waited for my order the guy making the sushi was talking/flirting with some girl, the place was dead and I was the only customer in the place and finally after over 20min of waiting I got my order and back to work I went. Most of it went in the trash, not worth the high prices they have and the quality of the fish isnt that great, at least I was able to eat the edemame, I will not be returning to this place and will stick with Oshima on Evergreen next time Im in the mood for sushi..high prices, poor quality food, poor customer service..save your money and go else where. read more

Amazing food, prices average between $7-20 for rolls. No reservations and seating is modest but adequate. Server and chef are incredibly attentive, polite and accommodating. We had an extra roll and ice cream on the house for some reason. Too bad I'm not from this area or I would definitely come back. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars to Tokyo House is the price. It is very spendy for a sushi place in Everett. We love sushi and go a few times a month if possible but Tokyo House is a splurge for us. That being said the chefs cuts of tuna and salmon are beautiful and really delicious. The miso soup is spot on! We tried the new 458 Italia roll and I highly recommend it! It's spicy but not overdone. I really love the Tokyo roll which is a tuna and avocado roll, simple but delicious! I also like how they pack the to-go orders. It's arranged neatly and is in the to-go container just as you would see it on your plate if you were dining in. read more

Tried their new mermaid roll today. It's decent but they put so much katsua flakes and the roll size itself is so small for the price. Every roll I've had is these 8 small pieces. I can go to mukilteo to my favorite sushi place and pay $5 more for twice the food and honestly fresher fish. I don't know if I'll be back here-I'm just underwhelmed I guess. I went here because of Cami W's review. She wasn't wrong. The place is clean and well-decorated. The people working there are incredibly nice. I got the Boeing and Jeff's rolls with a side of Inari. They even took the time to season the rice in the Inari, and it was so delicious. The quality of food here is awesome, and this place is in Everett! It isn't the cheapest sushi I've ever had, but the quality and service make it worth it. Also, the combinations of flavors are incredibly unique in their specialty rolls. I eat sushi regularly and have never had some of these flavors together. This place is legit. Give it a try. read more

Over that time had Chicken Katsu, Ton Katsu, Tempura platter, Curry Chicken, and several different sushi rolls. All of it was very good. My second visit here and the lunch special is fantastic! I have been waiting to get in the area to eat here again, the pot stickers are like nothing I've ever eaten, a special taste with all 3 items on the lunch special. My husband and I went on a Friday evening to celebrate our anniversary. We were very happy with our meal. The tempura and gyoza appetizers were delicious! I got the tonkatsu and he had the Martian roll and one with eel. He said that they were great. The service was quick and friendly. Next time I will try the bento. My husband and I saw the Groupon for this restaurant and decided to try it out. There were two options "$20 for two people" and "$40 for four people". Being very hungry, we decided to go for the $40 option, making sure to read the fine print + terms and conditions in case it was only accepted for a party of 4. Nowhere in the fine print does it say it is only for 4 people. Upon arrival at the restaurant, I pulled out my "$40 for four people" Groupon and showed it to the waiter, confirming that it indeed would work. He glanced at it and said yes. We ate, and order quite a lot of food - knowing that we would get to use our Groupon and save money. The check comes and another waitress asks to see the Groupon. Upon looking at it, she says she cannot accept it because we are 2 people and it must be 4 people. I tell her that the other waiter said it would work, and that we are spending $40 either way so why would it matter? She brings him over and he denies ever having told me he would accept the Groupon. I am a poor college student and don't have money to be dripping $40 worth of teriyaki at one time, so I was very happy to use my voucher to help cut the price. I shared my frustration with the waiter and waitress and they kept putting the blame back on me, for not having read the title "$40 for four people". I reminded them that it was not in the terms and conditions, and therefore they cannot demand such a thing. Unfortunately, however, due to terrible customer service, they refused to take the voucher and made me pay the $40 out of back pocket. I have contacted Groupon and politely asked them to tell Tokyo House that they MUST put their "4 people rule" in the fine print or else it is completely unfair! Their customer service was terrible because of the way they handled this situation with me. I will not be returning. Oh, and as for the food, it was fine. Mediocre tasting but large servings. The yakisoba is 80% cabbage but I wasn't complaining for the great price. I would have definitely gone back, had it not been for the lack of customer service regarding my Groupon. read more

NO LONGER MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT! I brought a friend who ordered the beef teriyaki. Unfortunately, after only three bites, she had to send it back. When the waitress offered to box the meal for takeout, my friend politely informed her that it was full of "gristle and fat" and that she had no intention of eating it much less paying for it. The waitress spoke briefly with the sushi chef and returned to inform my friend that she would still need to pay $1.50 for the salad which she agreed to do. Then, without warning the chef came out yelling. He accused my friend of being a "horrible customer" and that "no one had ever complained". He continued on his tirade, ranting at my friend for a good 10 minutes and repeatedly insulting her. He was totally out of control! I hope that the chef feels his angry rant was worth losing my business because my husband and I have taken guests on numerous occasions to this restaurant and spent over $200 on the meal. I will never ever risk another such inappropriate outburst or insulting behavior to a dinner guest again. It totally ruined our evening and reduced my dear friend to tears. read more

Came here last night with a Groupon. I ordered a Bento and my husband ordered teriyaki and a sushi roll. We ordered an egg roll for an appetizer. The portion size is generous and the food was delicious. I chose tempura and sesame chicken with my bento. The tempura was on point. I would not order the sesame chicken again, it wasn't what I am used to (different style) but it did taste good though. The egg roll was huge and delicious.
